Detailed Reviews
This was a quiet, clean, charming place to stay. Our hostess, Dagbjort, went above and beyond with the help she provided with our tours. She was a wealth of information about the area and gave us tips. We asked about bike rentals; she told us they were expensive but we wouldn't be surprised if she has obtained some of her own to supply visitors next year.
We aren't sure how far the guesthouse if from downtown because we always sauntered along looking at everything, but it can't be more than a twenty minute walk.
We shared a bathroom and the kitchen but both were sparkling clean. We didn't try the breakfast but others said it was good.
We would definitely stay here again. We were not interested in staying in the downtown area so this was perfect.

Really clean and stylish guesthouse, extremely comfortable beds. Although involving a 20-minute walk to the centre, its rate/night and peaceful surroundings make it a very good option. Although waiting to greet us until 3:30 in the morning (which was really nice!), the owners seemed uninvolved and a bit cold. That's why I didn't rate it 5 out of 5.

The owner was on hand and extremely helpful with respect to planning our day tours for us, and providing us with recommendations for excursions. The breakfast was simple and quite good. The house was also simple, but extremely clean and comfortable. The bathroom was remarkably clean. I would not hesitate to stay here again if I ever get back to Iceland. This was a very fun trip, especially thanks to the landlady's suggestions for horseback riding, etc. This place was a pretty spectacular find considering how inexpensive the rates are!

We loved staying here! We started and ended our vacation at this lovely guesthouse just outside of Reykjavik. It is outside of the city but very accessible to the center of town. The owner if FANTASTIC. She is helpful, sweet and welcoming. They really do treat you like family or friends. The room itself if private and comfortable. Breakfast is lovely, too...simple food- but it is set out with care and is in a sweet little separate dining room for guest. Great choice for an introduction to Reykjavik.

Naja!

This was a clean, safe, comfortable guesthouse about 15 to 20 minutes walk to the city centre. Our room was huge and the shared bathroom and kitchen were always clean. Compared to the cost of some of the other hotels and guesthouses in Reykjavik, this was a steal. If I had to point out a fault, it would be that the walls are paper thin so noise could be a problem, although it wasn't for us.
