The Lisland Rainforest Resort is a little gem, a seeming green oasis close to the centre of Urdaneta city. We stayed in a chalet style room amongst the trees. The room was adequate, had a reasonable bathroom, air-conditioning, television and we were not troubled by mosquitoes. The restaurant and bar were in an open wall area where you could look out to the huge lagoon based pool. Food was good and moderately prices and the staff were very helpful and polite.
Overall a good place to stay.

My family and me landed in this hotel after we ran away from other two we previously stayed in. The place is nice and it has a very big swimming pool, but many things are not what they promise when I booked. First of all, I booked for three and I got a two beds room... Never mind, after the shock of other hotels we decided to avoid complaining. The problem was the same at breakfast time... I found out that, even if I booked for three I was paying for two 🤔but they allowed to stay in three 🙄. Never mind... I paid for added breakfast. Of course, in the room everything is for two persons (towels, soap, etc.).
The position of the hotel in a very green area makes rooms are quite cool, even if the weather is very hot. That's a real luck cause the air conditioning in the room sounds like a leaving airplane 😭no chance to keep it on by night if you want to sleep. When I booked the hotel promised also a free wifi. Well, if you need to be connected better if you bring a pocket wifi 😉.
Anyway, I'm sure I will choose again this hotel if I will visit again Urdaneta... At the moment, it seems to be the best in this area.

Have stayed here regularly for a year. I found it modest among the limited choices in the area.
Pros:
1. The resort is a refuge away from the heat in the city. Serene and cool.
2. Very good location. Near the town proper; easy access to public transportation.
Cons:
1. Guards are very disrespectful while front desk people have attitude problems. Needs customer service orientation.
2. Rooms are spacious but very old including linens and towels.
3. Water has no pressure at all.
4. No designated safe parking area for scooters and small vehicles.
5. They equate motorist backpackers to poor and cant-afford guests. Very bad attitude.

Did not verify first in her records if I truly belong to a large group.
I told her the name of the person who paid the booking and she answered me right away that no body in that name has paid or entered the resort without first looking into her receipt. I told her it is impossible since my aunt who paid just entered in an hour earlier than me and she answered me "of all the people who goes and books in our resort, I would not be able to memorize their names and answer you"

I called my aunt who paid for all our tickets and she gave me the copy of the receipt
and then I showed it to the entrance staff and I proved her that my entrance was already paid for.

The only reason I stay here is because it is close and convenient to my business appointments and to the center of the city. Otherwise, be prepared for a very uncomfortable night in their guest rooms. This is my third stay and I can attest that their bed cushions are as comfortable as a half inch plywood and the pillows have the fluffiness of a bag of rice. Apparently, the aircons in the rooms either lack maintenance or are grossly underpowered for the big rooms we stayed in.

During my 2nd visit last year that I was bitten at least 3 times by ants crawling all over the wooden bed frame and after bringing this up with the front desk, they sent a guy with a can of Baygon insecticide. Not a very bright solution. Also, the room was old, the linen is so worn you can feel threads sticking out when you lie on it which adds to your itchiness if the ants didn't get you.

Breakfast was just OK and mornings are my favorite time in the hotel because I can't pack up fast enough to leave.

Generally as satisfactory hotel although in comparison to the other hotels, rather expensive. The hotel promotes its swimming pool as the reason for the higher price. But then charges for the use. In general a very presentable place. The chalets are a fair way off but my biggest concern was that the curtains were see through and not possible to resolve so the lights had to be off all the time. Breakfast was very good and the staff were pleasant. Our regret was that when complaining to management the reply was to put it on the comments form.

PROS:
1. the pool is huge and great for swimming
2. the place is near the city
CONS:
1. expensive food in the resto
2. old rooms- I got a deluxe room worth 1,800 but the shower is old and the room looks old
3. the staff are unfriendly- they won't even greet you. i was carrying two bags, no one helped me to carry my bag to my room.
4. I asked for extra towels because my towel got wet from swimming, the receptionist hesitated to give me one.
5. it takes 30-40 minutes before your order in the resto arrives
6. the deluxe cottages are far from the swimming pool.

My partner spent an overnight here and thank God, we only have 1 night to stay here. The room was small and not ok for couples to move around. Wifi is in the reception so you have to walk to the other building to get online. The room curtains are see-through so no privacy. if you can find another one, do so.

The resort is very spacious and gives you the environment vibe. The location is quite good as well. However, I have had problems with their breakfast buffet selection as it was the first time in my life I have said to myself that I can probably prepare a better home cooking selection. Sleep quality is not ok as well because of the airconditioning. We cannot divert the flow of air because the AC unit has malfunctioning air window. We had to improvise and I had to change the position of my sleep in the middle of the night. Lastly, the shower and sink water smells and taste rusty.
