Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
The check in and the check out went very well and the receptionists were very friendly. I didn't like that only a few customers at the hotel wear masks.
The room was very large, very clean and lovely. I liked the murals a lot. The view from the windows wasn't very nice. I could see a parking lot and the gym. The other side of the hotel view would have been better. The room was super quiet, but on the first night above us was somebody that was stamping and falling down at night. The other night was very quiet you could only hear when somebody was closing their door but the noise was very quiet. Actually I have never stayed in the room that is so quiet. I think that the pillows were very good but my boyfriend coudn't sleep very well because he thought the pillows were too soft. I thought that the blanket was too warm.
The breakfast was too full and not very many people wear masks. That was very scary. There could have been some restrictions on how many people can be at the breakfast at the same time.
We reserved a sauna. It went very well, but a half an hour is too short time for the sauna.
We are definitely coming back to this hotel. It's a little expensive but you get a lot in that money.

I am glad that you enjoyed the design of our rooms and the bed was comfortable. The safety of our guest is the most important thing for us, even more so on this particular time. Very well located new hotel next to Tampere railwatstation and close to the city centre. Great views from the upper floors and I also liked the decoration of the room, except the artwork they are selling in the room.
Breakfast was tasty, but got crowded after 9, so good that we went early.
Few drawbacks we had. We stayed in the room 1414, great views towards the city, but the lifts were behind the door, so you hears them going up and down all the time. So if you can, avoid room 14’s if you are a light sleeper. Also when there’s a double bed, double bedding would be a better option than two separate small blankets.
The bathroom smelled like drain. When we took the bath and let the water out, all the water came out from the drain to the floor and we had to block it with towels to get to the room. That was on the morning when we were leaving, so we didn’t immidiately complain about it, but Wetold this to front desk on check out. It was compensated and we were very happy how the staff handled the issue.
Overall we liked the hotel, but with these few drawbacks I cannot give 5 stars although the hotel has everything to be a five star hotel.

When we arrived at the lobby on Saturday afternoon the lobby was very crowded and the elevator absolutely crammed. However, our room on the 21st floor had a nice view of the city and was big and lovely. Definitely the highlight of our stay. Baby was too tired so we ordered room service for dinner. Food unfortunately arrived very cold. Hotel breakfast had vast offering but quality was lacking. The restaurant was overflowing with people. We had to make two rounds before finding sits. Other people were also having a hard time. The hostess at the entrance simply greets people in and has no clue about the availability of tables. It’s baffling. On Sunday at 12 when we left our room to check out, we had to wait 15min for the elevator to arrive. And going down it stopped on every single floor. Of course the lobby was once again crammed and by this point my baby was already restless from all the waiting so I let my husband handle check out and to baby out the front door for fresh air. Some 10 people were smoking right in front of the entrance. We couldn’t walk farther as it was raining so we went back in. Oh and I almost forgot, when we entered the hotel from the parking hall there’s no ramp so we had to carry the stroller up a flight of stairs. All in all while our room was superb and location central, our overall experience at this hotel was disappointing at best. Definitely not worth the money we spent there.

The homepage lacks details, such as where to park. It's rather an arrogant presumption that non-locals would know how to drive to parking which only creates confusion.
Long ques at check in.
The lobby seems dark and dated. The design looks like a relic from the nineties, odd and out of place.
The room is dusty, has dirty linen (housekeeping changed it so ok), all four glasses had stains and lipstick on them, the shower tap was full of white residue.
The bathroom toiletries was strongly scented and sparse. For the price of the room I expect a little bit more than conditioner, body lotion, bath salts and bubble bath. The hairdryer and bath tub were ok.
The room design was out of place, looked confused, dated, uninteresting and weird. The pillows (three per bed) were all over used and should be changed.
The restaurant was a disaster; unfriendly and slow staff, food clearly mostly from the freezer and the cooking style is paired with the design, old and outdated. Not many COVID-19 restrictions in place. Way over prized for the quality of service and food.
The breakfast was even worse than the dinner; at check in you had to confirm the time you would go for breakfast, this leads to the assumption that pandemic restrictions has been considered. There were close to 300 people at breakfast, many with no place to sit, hovering around the room with no masks, hand sanitizer supplies empty and buffet service with no COVID-19 hygiene plan at all. Quality of the breakfast food and drink was also poor and it was simply not an interesting food wise or relaxing as a start to the day.
Easy on check out.
I will not stay here again and not recommend it to anyone else (for no purpose). To put it mildly; this is overprized accommodation that is poorly managed, with lack of vision and pride in their trade. Avoid at all cost!!

Rooms have a nice view of the city as the hotel is a tower and rise above anything else in its surroundings. Rooms are nicely done. Breakfast, however, was overcrowded and social distance measures were not in place. The dining area is big enough to accommodate many people but the serving stations are all crammed at the entrance with queues to get food. This is my second visit and it was a similar situation last time too. I will rethink next time if I should stay here again.

I tend to stick to my favorite chain hotels but this place was recommended by a colleague for my business trip to the area. Staff were friendly and helpful, went above and beyond, even helping me to order a restaurant delivery when I had a craving for Asian food. Room was always clean, plenty of towels, fridge, safe, etc. they also have a reasonable price on late checkouts. Train station is less than 5 min walk and there are many local restaurant options nearby. My only complaint, if you could call it that, is the limited dinner and room service menu. More casual options would be great but that’s a personal preference. Great bar with view on 25th floor! Would stay again on next visit for sure.

Nice hotel and good location. No Playarea for kids anymore and that is shame. New but Dirty rooms, my baby tried to eat some candies under the bed, no one had done vacuuming. Also they forgot to give hand soap and other basic stuff what you need.

Hotel is nice and it has nice views over the city from upper level rooms.I prefer corner rooms where can be seen to two directions and rooms are little bit bigger ones. Only what I miss is little sauna in room with window views over to city. It could be there instead of bath as in my room there was shower and bath separately which was waste of room on my opinion.
Moro (Hi in language of Tampere) bar at top floor is nice. Only that there is quite few places on winter time but there is nice to get beer and look over the city.
Restaurant is little bit expensive on my point of view but breakfast is one of best in Sokos Hotels.
Car parking hall is cold so it's not nice on winter time and parking lots are very narrow for cars of nowadays.
Air conditioning keeps loud noice and I had to turn it off to be able to sleep. Also mark light of Air conditioning control unit is so bright that I need to cover it in night as I want to sleep in dark.

Personel in reception did not understand at all what kind of service attitude personel in hotel reception have to have. Customer must feel that he/she is wellcomed instead of facing feelings go away and do disturb me. How that is possible, in Torni Tampere that is their way to go.
We reserved a large executive room for a night stay high there over the city line. We wont be doing that again. The large corner room was dirty and the aircon was totally wrongly adjusted creating discusting feeling to enter the very large room.
The breakfast was totally sorry thing to see. If hotel is spreading info that it is a classy place, the breakfast is included but that is no classy at the best that could be noted as a mediocre.
I am very disappointed.

We had planned a one night staycation with my son, his long time wish. We got a room from the upper floor and the view was beatiful.
It was easter and the hotel was packed. We managed to get a table from the restaurant not until 8 pm. We decided to eat quick to get back to the room to see the sunset. But the restaurant staff was short and we sat there 1,5 hrs and missed the best part of the sunset. A huge disappointment!
My advice is: if you want to see the sunset (which must be breath taking), don’t use the downstairs restaurant any later than 7 pm.
Beds are comfy and everything is clean and fairly new. City center is right there next to hotel so easy access to restaurants and museum.
