Stayed in the engine room for one night. It felt like sleeping inside an MRI machine, quite literally. The room was ok, just the curtain is not enough to stop the bright sunlight at 3am which obviously wakes you up. The curtains should be probably replaced with darker ones. The place is undoubtedly cool especially the engine room however, it is a bit old and not very well kept. The reception seems to be always empty and if you need something there is no one around. The coffee machine wasn't working in the morning an there is no one in the reception who could fix it. I think there should be someone in the morning and during the day in case you need something.
This is a fantastic and unique place to stay at Arlanda Airport. It's an easy bus ride to/from the terminals via one of the parking buses which conveniently stops on the road right outside. The staff are very accommodating and extremely knowledgable about the aircraft and its history. Small selection of souvenirs on sale if you want a memento of your stay in a jumbo jet. Room was very comfortable and had tv, with bathrooms and showers located just down the hallway. Breakfast was included and they were also happy to allow me to keep luggage in the room beyond the official check out time, which was a very kind and helpful gesture. Would definitely recommend a stay here to anyone, but especially if you're an avgeek or enthusiastic traveller. You'll love it!
I'd always said this was a place I needed to visit some day, and the chance (excuse?) came up, so I grabbed it! The Jumbo Stay is so unique and a bit quirky at the same time... It's certainly worth a visit.. I stayed two nights in the "Black Box Suite'" which is a large double bedded unit with private bathroom, situated directly below the tail fin - nicely appointed, comfortable, with a large Smart TV to keep you entertained... Some great photo opportunities of course and the ability to sit at a picnic table on the 747's wing adds to the experience. Transfers from Arlanda Airport T5 could not be easier - every 20 mins by the free P2 Parking bus which drops you off at the footpath up to the huge 747... It really is an experience. Lovely staff, always cheerful and wanting to help, some basic offerings in the café, which is in the nose of the 747 and a few souvenirs available to buy... If you're an AvGeek or just like something a bit different, I'd definitely recommend at least a one night stay here, you won't be disappointed... …
Me and some colleagues came to visit the hotel and have a few drinks back in March. The lady on reception was so friendly and took a real interest on us when we came. She showed us round vacant rooms and had some lovely conversationS with us. She spoke amazing English and we were very grateful for her. The bar area in the nose of the aircraft was nice to socialise and have a few drinks. Even if you’re not a hotel resident I’d recommend a visit.
I stayed here in June 2019 Very clean and tidy, please take your shoes off before going to the reception. It's a Swedish thing. The staff are very pleasant and the breakfast was satisfactory. I stayed in the room with a photo of the aircraft when it was owned by Garuda Airlines (Indonesia)
