A splendid and most enchanting property providing plenty of comfort and peacefulness . Doreen our host ensures that everything is to our likings and very proactive. Her staff are professional and well trained most especially during breakfast which is served by the pool with a vast selection of hot and cold servings. Isabelle is courteous and polite with an eye for detail...Doreen knows how to delegate and hence our stay was immensely enjoyable...

This was our first stay at Viewpoint but most importantly probably not last.

The breakfast was delicious. The stay exceeded our expectations. Doreen even help us to organise masseuse who performed a treatments in our room, and she was also fantastic.

We stayed at Viewpoint Living Boutique Hotel in September, for a week. The rooms were well appointed and the private swimming pool kept in pristine condition. Our room (Zebbuga) had a large balcony overlooking the pool, with stunning views of the valley below. Although slightly overlooked from the pool we had no privacy issues and would book the same room again. Throughout our stay it was kept spotlessly clean and the bedding changed daily. The room was equipped with a mini bar and the items included were all reasonably priced. Room service was an option at no additional cost. The food comprised of substantial snacks and accompanied by a good selection of wines. We ate at the hotel on a number of occasions and were never disappointed.
There were a number of options for breakfast, all well-cooked/ presented and substantial. Guests were constantly asked if they required more to eat or drink, the service was outstanding in all respects. Would be hard to find a hotel where the staff were more attentive. The staff would also help in organising your day if required and generally answer any queries you might have in regard to places to go and how to get there. One thing we discovered very quickly was that public transport is reliable and cheap. We used this mode of transport very often, without any trouble at all.
There are a number of places to visit on the island, would certainly recommend the neolithic monument/ temple in Xaghra and the Citadella in Victoria. However, spending time around the pool at the hotel is a very relaxing alternative. Pool service is available if you want a drink. We found the restaurants in Xlendi (village in walking distance from hotel) were very reasonable and would particularly recommend the Ic-cima for an evening meal and the Terrazzo for simply a drink. Both have elevated views of the water front.
We have travelled extensively and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Viewpoint. Doreen (co-owner) and her staff (Isabelle and Antoinette) provided a level of service second to none – can’t fault them. Use the taxi service organised through the hotel to collect you from the airport. Our driver was fantastic – took us everywhere and told us everything about Gozo, on the way to the hotel. Good start to the holiday.

Loved everything about this beautiful boutique hotel. Doreen looks after everybody like they are family!

We stayed in Lewza and couldn't have been happier. Not only does it have a wonderful jacuzzi (which we enjoyed every evening) but its location furthest away from the main building means its terrace gets a lovely breeze from the valley - very welcome in 39 degrees' heat! It also meant we were able to watch two separate beautiful fireworks from different village festas! And boy, do the Maltese love their fireworks...!

Doreen's breakfasts (to be enjoyed either by the pool or on your terrace) are delicious with five cooked dishes to choose from, on top of the regular continental buffet. Parking is easy and Xlendi is less than 10 minutes walking distance so lots of restaurants and no need to drive! The pool area is lovely with plenty of sun loungers. You can even order snacks, salads and sandwiches during the day if you wish.

Doreen also arranged for a massage therapist to visit and give us beautiful in-room massages. Marissa (who grew up in New York) has truly magical hands and removed every and all knots in our weary bodies.

If you are thinking of a luxurious, relaxing break in a beautiful location and are planning to get spoiled rotten, this is the place for you!

We have visited viewpoint boutique hotel for our 2nd anniversary, for 2 nights and I cannot reccomend it enough! Doreen the owner is simply one of a kind - she is the most hands on owner I have ever seen, continuously striving to ensure her guests are getting the best experience.
The hotel is situated at one of the best spots in Gozo...amazing view and super peaceful. The interior is decorated beautifully, comfortable bed, spacious rooms and every little detail cared for - even the bubble bath provided in the rooms its not just one of those dish washing detergent smell alike...but it has a very good smell, slippers and bathrooms available, coffeemaking supplies also.
The hotel is also super clean! Maids clean the rooms daily.
Breakfast - amazing aswell...
Literally we cannot find anything to conplain about.
For sure we will visit again.
Thank you so much Doreen! You are the best.

We loved almost everything about this gem of a hotel. From the wonderful personal welcome by Doreen when we first arrived, till the time we left. This may be a 'boutique' hotel, but the rooms are lovely, all different (apparently), with distinct Maltese names, named after trees; we had a great view over the valley and pool. The staff we all super-helpful, helping us organise trips, get a hire car, planning routes, providing meal recommendations and sometimes booking them, advising us on local transport and how to use the 'Bolt' taxi app. Doreen really could not do enough for us.
Breakfast was lovely, we asked for it in our room the first day and it arrived on a trolley, we had it in our supplied dressing gowns on the balcony. After that we had it downstairs by the beautiful little pool. Great choice: small pastries, breads, cold meat and cheese, cooked options including full English.
When we wanted a beer or wine they were there to provide it. There's no bar but we didn't expect it, they still were able to accommodate us.
The air conditioning was quiet and easy to control - and very welcome in a hot August.
It is easy and safe to walk down to Xlendi from the site. Slightly harder to walk up but easy enough! It's also close to Victoria, but a little too far and uphill to walk in the heat, however buses run every hour, sometimes more, and cabs were easy to order.
I can't recommend this hotel enough.
What didn't we like? Not much - the TV was difficult to master, but it didn't matter, I got the hang of it. We didn't particularly like the frosted glass door on the bathroom, that was probably the main thing. You couldn't see through it though.
The nearby nightclub 'La Grotta' makes a fair amount of noise on Friday and Saturday, but the room was well soundproofed so it didn't disturb us at all.

We were welcomed by Doreen the owner. She checked us in and gave us some information about the local area and the island of Gozo. She also explained how breakfast was served and gave us the hot food choices. All the rooms are named after plants/trees. I think our room was called Dahlia and the balcony overlooked the pool and had a view down to the town in Xlendi. The room was decorated very nicely and the bedding etc were excellent. There was a Viewpoint robe and slippers laid out on the bed for us and toiletries in the bathroom and also tea and coffee making facilities and a minibar in one of the cupboards.
In the evenings we would walk down to Xlendi which took about 10 minutes and Doreen got us the bus times for coming back later on. One night we missed the last bus but downloaded the Bolt app(like Uber).
We spent most afternoons relaxing around the pool. The view from the terrace is beautiful. There are pool towels, menus and buzzer so that if you want any drinks or food you can order by the pool. We ate lunch at Viewpoint twice and the quality of the food was excellent.
Breakfast at Viewpoint is served by the pool. Doreen and her team are there to offer fresh pastries, fresh fruit, meats and cheeses along with fresh local bread and conserves. There is a choice of juices and teas and coffees. Your hot breakfast choice will be brought out to you.
If I was ever in Gozo again I would not hesitate to book Viewpoint Boutique Living. Thank you to Doreen and the whole team.

We stayed at the Viewpoint Boutique Hotel for 8 nights whilst we explored the understated charms of Gozo. We had a lovely spacious room with a patio from which we could soak up the sun with a wonderful view down the valley. Doreen was the perfect host, providing local sightseeing advice, arranging taxi transfers from Malta Airport as well as one day’s cycle hire. Joanne looked after us at breakfast which we took close to the pool area. The food for both breakfast and light meals in the evening(an extra charge) was delicious. Overall a truly relaxing stay in a lovely property where help was always on hand if required, without being obtrusive.

I knew that Viewpoint was an excellent accommodation; not only had I seen the stellar reviews but it was also recommended to us by friends. I hadn't expected it to be excellent to the point of perfection.
It hits you immediately as you walk in, you will find Doreen to welcome you. She has a natural charisma that should be the envy of all other hosts. No trained receptionist could possibly emulate her innate charm.
There is also something intrinsically calming about the place, perhaps the beautiful furnishings and decorations, perhaps the incredible views, or perhaps it's having a fresh and filling breakfast in a rural idyll. Perhaps it's a bed so comfortable that, after months of stress due to my work as a frontliner, I felt I had finally rested. Doreen, I never asked you, what magic is that mattress made of? I still dream about it today.
I was also impressed by how seriously they took precautions measures because of the COVID pandemic. Alcohol hand rub is placed in enough locations so you are sure to have sanitised hands at all times. The cleanliness was impeccable. We were offered breakfast in our room at no extra cost. Incredibly, at a time when the hotel was fully booked, it barely felt like there was anyone else there. I had my mind at rest the entire time that we were safe.
Another thing about Doreen (seriously, what an amazing host, you are a star) is that she will endeavor to make you feel accommodated. I appreciated it so much when she brought us breakfast a little earlier than the usual breakfast hours just because we had an early dive to get to.
The place is a gem and Doreen is what makes it shine.

How do you get to the location if flying into Malta’s main airport?
Answer from Getaway40454711893

Hi on the island of Gozo we do not have any airports. The only way to arrive at our place is to get the ferry which crosses the two islands. Once arrived in Malta you can get a bus or taxi to the ferry and once arrived on our island of gozo, you do the same by bus or taxi. Another option is you can hire a car.
Answer from Daniel Galea
Valletta, Malta31 contributions
It’s around a 20 minute downhill walk more or less (will probably take you slightly longer to walk back up). There are a couple of walking trails which are stunning. A car would be helpful to drive around Gozo and I would recommend it. There is a bus you could take though or else just ask Viewpoint to recommend a taxi (although I must warn you, they are quite expensive).
Xlendi, Malta23 contributions
Hi Alexandra. both are perfect for Gozo. especially if coming in summer. I prefer scooter no traffic and easy to park. on the other hand I think a car it`s more safer.
