We stayed here 2x in December 2020. First with just myself and my husband and the second time with my sisters and their families. Rooms are clean, no moldy smell, high water pressure. The pool is a good sized pool. The staff are friendly but some need a little bit more training. Food is ok. Don’t expect too much with the free breakfast. They have a choice of Filipino, American and omelletes. The eggs that came with our Filipino meals were cold. Stay was over-all very pleasant and relaxing. Will stay here again when in Cavite.
Pros: Masarap ung food (for the Lunch & Dinner options - we liked the Chimichanga! Saktong serving size but price may not be for everyone Easily accessible (along governor’s drive cavite) With free parking but not covered parking No hassle checkin & checkout They were kind enough to clean the Pool after the typhoon since it was actually the pool that I looked forward to Quiet place. Probably cause there are only a few guest. Mabait ung staff Fast internet (no need for wifi PW) Their pillow was very comfortable. Memory Pillow ata Toiletries were good for 2 pax Hand towel was provided There was anti-slip mat on the shower (pra hndi madulas habng ngsshower) Different towels were provided in the pool (no charge) Mejo itchy ung bed Has blower, hot/cold shower, slippers, coffee/tea, vault, 4 hangers 56 inch TV with cable A lot of cabinet & drawers in the room Our Room is overlooking the pool Cons: Unstable water temp (lumalamig yng temp hbng nghhotshower) Breakfast super simple (tocino hardboiled plain rice only & you just get it from the 8th floor then eat at your room - no choice of breakfast) No conditioner Bidet pressure too strong (ang hirap mghugas after “u know what”) Atrium was closed but its expected but was hoping they lit the atrium for at least an hour for hotel guest to have a picture picture at night Still thank you for welcoming us during this time of Pandemic :)…
Although staff were accommodating and responsive, they need to improve their housekeeping and breakfast. Amount of breakfast was a lot but there were few choices, wonder where the fruits/salad, yogurt, juice and milk. I've been to many hotels and it's my first time to be served only with longanisa, rice and boiled egg. Never expected this from a 4 star hotel. It indeed felt like a quarantine. My second concern was the bed. Why was it itchy? Really... Why? I was not able to sleep. Hope you improve the above mentioned issue. Ambiance was great and their employees too.
So Cavite just shifted to a less strict quarantine category so J and I chose The Bayleaf for our 2 nights. Our business trip was centered primarily in Ternate and if time permits, a visit in Trece Martirez. So this review and rating is mainly comparing the accommodation options in Cavite. Secondary is its features vs standard 4 star hotels. For full disclosure, the Bayleaf just shifted less than a week before so they still had to follow specific quarantine rules and had limited operational crew which made our stay less than ideal but we understand. PROS: 1. Newish hotel with clean, modern design. 2. Central atrium was an architectural highlight. Too bad they did not turn on the accent lights due to limited operational crew. 3. Room was very straightforward business like with adequate in size with the bare essential for a 4 star hotel. Coffee/tea making station, 2 pairs of soft slippers, 2 big towels/2 small towel/1 floor towel, hair dryer, safe. 4. 50in+ TV had more than enough channels for endless viewing options. We specially liked that they had Disney Channel for future staycation with kids. 5. Expansive resort pool and wide open space is the crown jewel of Bayleaf Cavite. 6. Camille of The Fields restaurant deserves special commendation! She is warm, attentive, engaging and quick on her feet. She lessened the disappointment of eating packed meals for breakfast. COULD BE IMPROVED: 1. We were bothered by the fluctuating water pressure in the shower combined with the sudden burst of very hot water despite having the shower lever constant in one desired position. J got a little scalded on her back. Please have this fixed asap to avoid other accidents in Rm703. 2. The toilet had no ceiling exhaust fan in the absence of a window so the damp smell and other odors tend to linger. This is a quick fix which we hope they also look into. 3. The elevator could stop at any floor so was accessible to anyone. This is a security risk which must be resolved. 4. Could you add robes and laundry ecobags in the room please? Overall, since we could not find an accommodation in Ternate that would fit our requirements, Bayleaf was a good choice being 45 minutes away. Further based on previous reviews, if times were normal, we believe we would have been ensured a better hotel experience so we may stay here again. Note: we will elaborate on the sparse manpower, dimmed lights and limited food options, pool until 5pm only? due to the pandemic.…
This hotel is nearest to my site of work. the room, the pool is also very clean and not crowded, it has also pool for kids. However, i noticed that there are no variation to the foods being prepared during breakfast. you will notice it if you stay in the hotel for more than 3 - 4 days. Mine, i stayed for 2 weeks. Dress code should be more relaxed during breakfast.
