Good destination for a quick escape from Metro Manila. My family frequents this hotel in Cavite, with weekday stays being much less crowded over weekend or holiday stays. During the quarantine period in 2021, they were offering free antigen swab testing for kids who will be checking-in with their families.

Pros:
Great pool
Reasonable Pricing
Free Swab Testing for Kids checking-in
Cleanliness

Cons:
Food Selection may be improved

Very affordable price of food and drinks will be served politely by the crew,i always remember one of the crew;"Lester" is his name,it is not the first time he assisted us,I love the way he talk to the customers, very friendly, very approachable and you can see his loyalty to the restaurant he is serving. This guy will surely love to serve while encouraging each clients to visit the hotel more often. We use to eat merienda on this place, everyone is smiling starting from the guard to the staffs in the lobby to the crews restaurants.
We will not hesitate to visit Bayleaf more often.

This looks like a resort hotel but upon checking in we found it so far from other restaurants and good transportation such as Grab. The taxi they recommended very expensive and it was a three hundred meter walk to public transportation.

We booked in for three nights and on Fiiday night they had entertainment so loud we couldn’t hear our tv. When we went up to their restaurant for dinner they had volume extremely loud to drown out the band that was playing in their atrium. It was impossible to carry on a conversation.

We were too far from off property places to eat so they suggested their poolside facility. It was chilly and windy and even with two tries, the spaghetti we ordered was under cooked.

My family stayed there for 3D2N for Holy Week. Check-in was a breeze and the room was already available by 1pm. We stayed in the quad room and the room was spacious. The beds and pillows were soft and comfy.

So far for the room, the only con that needs improvement is the bathroom. For the quad rooms, the bathroom has two cubicles, one for the toiled and the other for the shower. However, when you take a shower, the water splatters inside the toiled cubicle and in the sink area, so it's prone to accidents.

The pool, was also nice, there were two kiddie pools and one large pool for the adults. They provide towels, which is a plus for us. There is also a pool restaurant, where you can order food/snacks. We ordered 4 cheese pizza, carbonara an monte cristo. It was okay & enough to fill our stomach after hours of swimming. Two suggestions, when we ordered food around 3pm, they could have informed us that they also have BBQ menu. After ordering from their regular menu, 10mins later, the rolled out the food for grilling. Also wish they can incorporate in the system the food ordered is automatically charged to the room.

We also ordered room service. we had the shrimp & bacon wrapper, cheese fries and clubhouse. The cheese fries had cheese powder on top, then at the bottom of the plate, its like a cheesy mayo dressing. The shrimp and bacon wrapper was fried which is better if grilled. But food has value for money.

So Cavite just shifted to a less strict quarantine category so J and I chose The Bayleaf for our 2 nights.

Our business trip was centered primarily in Ternate and if time permits, a visit in Trece Martirez.

So this review and rating is mainly comparing the accommodation options in Cavite. Secondary is its features vs standard 4 star hotels.

For full disclosure, the Bayleaf just shifted less than a week before so they still had to follow specific quarantine rules and had limited operational crew which made our stay less than ideal but we understand.

PROS:
1. Newish hotel with clean, modern design.
2. Central atrium was an architectural highlight. Too bad they did not turn on the accent lights due to limited operational crew.
3. Room was very straightforward business like with adequate in size with the bare essential for a 4 star hotel. Coffee/tea making station, 2 pairs of soft slippers, 2 big towels/2 small towel/1 floor towel, hair dryer, safe.
4. 50in+ TV had more than enough channels for endless viewing options. We specially liked that they had Disney Channel for future staycation with kids.
5. Expansive resort pool and wide open space is the crown jewel of Bayleaf Cavite.
6. Camille of The Fields restaurant deserves special commendation! She is warm, attentive, engaging and quick on her feet. She lessened the disappointment of eating packed meals for breakfast.

COULD BE IMPROVED:
1. We were bothered by the fluctuating water pressure in the shower combined with the sudden burst of very hot water despite having the shower lever constant in one desired position. J got a little scalded on her back. Please have this fixed asap to avoid other accidents in Rm703.
2. The toilet had no ceiling exhaust fan in the absence of a window so the damp smell and other odors tend to linger. This is a quick fix which we hope they also look into.
3. The elevator could stop at any floor so was accessible to anyone. This is a security risk which must be resolved.
4. Could you add robes and laundry ecobags in the room please?

Overall, since we could not find an accommodation in Ternate that would fit our requirements, Bayleaf was a good choice being 45 minutes away. Further based on previous reviews, if times were normal, we believe we would have been ensured a better hotel experience so we may stay here again.
Note: we will elaborate on the sparse manpower, dimmed lights and limited food options, pool until 5pm only? due to the pandemic.

Although staff were accommodating and responsive, they need to improve their housekeeping and breakfast.

Amount of breakfast was a lot but there were few choices, wonder where the fruits/salad, yogurt, juice and milk. I've been to many hotels and it's my first time to be served only with longanisa, rice and boiled egg. Never expected this from a 4 star hotel. It indeed felt like a quarantine.

My second concern was the bed. Why was it itchy? Really... Why? I was not able to sleep.

Hope you improve the above mentioned issue. Ambiance was great and their employees too.

This was a great experience in Philippine hospitality. Friendly staff. Very clean and new furniture. I wish I had a bed like this at home!
Great food! Highly recommended. The catering staff especially but the reception staff went out ot their way to please us. Bottled water was supplied as an inclusion. Great location close to all the main points of interest in Cavite and Tagaytay. I also liked the architecture especially inside.

Me and my wife booked the second week of May 2022. The hotel is new and well done. Nice rooms with ac, Wi-Fi, tv. Friendly staff. With only few hours of notice the staff (Ryle and Axcel) contacted even a car rental (nothing was available in google) and they managed all.
Suggested place.
Friday and saturday evening is open a bar located at the last floor that is very nicely arranged.

Booked 2 rooms for my family as birthday gift to my daughter. The place is quiet with good ambiance. The pool is clean. Staff are warm and accommodating. Able to avail the free breakfast buffet in Atrium. The food is good. If possible to provide more food selections. The rooms are clean. Please improve the exhaust of the comfort room and put floor mat as well. Also check the glasses provided,it has cracks. Superior Triple room booked for my 3 kids but only 2 room slippers available. Overall we have fun and relaxing day. If possible to extend the pool hours until 12 midnight. You may put hand sanitizer in every room as well. Thank you and more power.
