The view of water makes us relax, release our thoughts and find new energy. In addition, it has a positive effect on our health and quality of life. Therefore, in a big city of high pulse and pace, the blue waves are particularly important and beneficial, but are, for the same reason, difficult – and rare – to enjoy in a blissful atmosphere. As a guest at Copenhagen Island, you are surrounded by a rippled water surface in Copenhagen’s harbour bath. Right here, you can experience the city from its quiet and blissful side while you are close to the city centre and its most popular attractions.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.

Copenhagen Island Hotel garners praise for its friendly staff and prime location, offering easy access to public transport and attractions, along with picturesque views. While many guests appreciate the modern atmosphere and comfort of the spacious rooms, some feel that the hotel's amenities and housekeeping services fall short of expectations.
Despite the mixed opinions on value, with some questioning the cost-to-experience ratio, the hotel's clean and contemporary vibe continues to attract travelers.

Well appointed clean rooms and bathroom. Worth the extra cost for superior room with harbour view. Excellent buffet breakfast. Hotel was in a good location for the trains and sightseeing bus - only a short walk away, less than 5 minutes, was an easy walk to Tivoli gardens too. We would definitely go back!

Hotel room was really comfy and in an ideal location as it is next to the Fisketorvet shopping mall where there is an Aldi and Føtex which you can buy water, etc.
The room was very spacious with the beds being rather comfy but the pillows were rather square, the bathroom was bigger than most European hotels. Breakfast was good, a decent selection of food to choose from.
Furthermore, the night staff were amazing with lots of advice on where to visit in Copenhagen, and a massive shout out to the night manager - Peter Rasmussen - who was absolutely amazing and a joy to speak to!
The only downside was the air con, it made the room rather warm and dry during the night and so had to open the window a few times to cool the room down.
A handy tip, please don’t throw your bottles (those labelled with Pant A, B or , C away as you can take then to Føtex to get some money back (it will help when you need to use the lockers for some museums in CPH). You can also hire a bike from the hotel, but usually there are Lime scooters next to the mall.

Spotlessly clean! Rooms very modern with beautiful white linen duvet covers. A 25 minute walk out of the centre but there is a very convenient train station just 2 minutes away which takes you into the city in just a few minutes and the trains are very frequent. A mix of tourists and business people, a nice atmosphere, and the staff were really pleasant and helpful. Included breakfast was sufficient - mainly continental with a small choice of hot food. We had a lovely view from our room over the water and a juliette balcony from where we loved watching all the cyclists, young to old. There is a fantastic shopping mall right next door which we only discovered on our last day, where there is a good selection of shops and a large supermarket, as well as coffee shops and some places to eat - with the food and drink prices being so much cheaper than the touristy places in the centre. A lovely hotel and we would definitely stay here again when we return to Copenhagen which is such a beautiful, clean and safe city.

The room overlooked the harbour, which was really pretty at night, very pleasant by day. The journey from the airport was easy using Metro to the centre and the the S line to Dybbolsbro , then a 5min walk to Hotel. It is situation in the harbour, next to a shopping centre (mall). The room was good, as many modern hotels. Good soundproofing and reasonably well appointed. The restaurant was very good, excellent buffet breakfast. The Covid19 actions were very good. Hand sanitiser at regular points, masks and gloves to go near food etc. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The architecture was impressive. Overall a lovely stay

I stayed here on Saturday 25th of January for one night with my son in a twin room booked with breakfast which cost me £125.00 The room wasnt very big but the beds were very comfy. We didnt suss out the air con but wish we had as it was stuffy and very warm through the night and when we woke up.The Hotel is big and right next door to a big shopping mall and imax cinema.Theres a few eating places including Liberty burgers where we ate(see my seperate review)Theres also a netto supermarket although keep an eye on what they charge you as we very nearly got ripped off by Netto!.The island hotel is modern with a spacious reception although it makes me think why didnt they reduce the size here to make bigger rooms?.The island hotel is fairly central and about 15 minutes walk from the main train station but there is a smaller platform close to the Hotel.Reception lady was polite and cheerful although they do ask for your credit card to swipe incase you purchase any extra.s. so im just hoping they dont charge me for anything as i didnt use any room service or mini bar.The gym and sauna are a decent size,we went to have a look but didnt use them but the pain is they were a long way from our room(Having said that We have walked about 12 miles each day in the town etc). Our bathroom was ok with bath and shower in the bath.Didnt see any extraction though. There was some noise through our closed windows from traffic as we faced the road at the front of the hotel.Rear of hotel looking over the dock would be better but you pay extra. We had paid extra to include breakfast but if you dont and buy separately its expensive at about £25 each although it was very good with quality foods and a big choice plus quality comfy seats. All in all a good Hotel albeit a little expensive.

We stayed here for the weekend and found everything to be spot on. The staff were very welcoming, the room was a little small but had floor to ceiling windows which opened out onto the water. We had lunch here on our first day, just wanted a snack but the meal was huge and absolutely delicious. Breakfast was a buffet affair with a great deal of choice and very well organised.
The hotel itself is central and within walking distance of most attractions, if you don't feel like walking, taxis are inexpensive and there is always the tour bus which stops over the road.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Lovely hotel situated on the canal front, which you can walk alongside to reach the main tourist area. If you prefer not to walk, the extremely efficient transport system will get you to your destination in no time (airport to hotel in just half an hour). Did not take advantage of the restaurant or gym so cannot comment. The menu initially looked expensive but it soon became apparent that Copenhagen is a very expensive city anyway so in hindsight the prices were not as bad as first seemed. There is a mall next door which includes a cinema and some food outlets as well as a Lidl store where as you would expect, prices were more reasonable. If you are planning to visit Copenhagen this is a lovely base, conveniently located with great amenities and lovely staff

New hotel. Small but cozy bedrooms. Friendly staff at reception and luggage. That was the only good part of it. Terrible breakfast: full, full, full, breathless, they had to open room conferences to have enough seats for People to seat! Unbeliveble. I had to walk around more than 10 minutes to find a table everyday. Weekend and weekdays. They were always running out of Coffee and Milk. Every day I had to choose cups carefully as they were dirty too Many times. Dirty tables. Regarding towels in the bathroom: when changing towels between days, they fogot to put shower towels! They only put hand towels... Nevertheless, rooms and bathrooms cleaness was ok. It is a 20 min walkway to the City center (not in the City center). We used to go walking and returned by taxi. Bycicles were there to rent, 20 euros per person, per day. Since the hotel was not in the City center, they could have it as a free facility for hotel guests. In summary: they have a lot to learn to turn this beatiful hotel in a pleasent hotel.

Dear guest, Thank you for your valueable feedback. I am sorry your experience at our breakfast was not a pleasent one. We are continuesly working on new ideas to ease the flow in our breakfast restaurant. The lack of milk and coffee and dirty tables are of course not accebtable. I apologize this ruined your breakfast experience. I hope you enjoyed Copenhagen and that we will see you again. Kind regards Peter sams Assisting Front Office Manager

This was a great location for a few days in Copenhagen. Booked a single room on the harbour side of the hotel, which costs a little more, but has a great view across the water and is quieter than being on the road side. The room was a little small but perfectly comfortable, with a choice of extra pillows for the bed. No problems with the wifi or other facilities. Was on the top floor with no noise disturbance, though the floor creaked a little which hopefully wasn't a problem in the room underneath. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choice, it did get a bit chaotic at the weekend with the number of people there, but the staff were very organised and everything was kept well-stocked, and the outside terrace was opened to give a bit more space. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Location was great, away from the centre of the city but this was only a 15 to 20 minutes walk along the harbour or main road and there is a local rail station 2 minutes away with plenty of trains into the centre or beyond. The hotel also had bikes for hire. There was a shopping mall next door with a multiplex cinema, a Lidl and another big supermarket, a McDonalds and other takeaway places, though most of the shops there were closed on a Thursday. Had a great stay here and would definitely come back here for a future trip.

Excellent service Location is very easy to train, walking distance to many resteraunts in the meat packing district, and of course the neighboring mall. Although you are close to everything, the hotel is incredibly peaceful ..always quiet and the design makes the most of the water views.

Dear guest
A taxi from Copehagen Airport is 375,- DKK.
We are looking forward to welcoming you at Copenhagen Island
Best regard Anne Louise Poulsen, General Manager
Dear guest
From Copenhagen airport
From the airport you may go by train directly from terminal 3 (arrival terminal). The train departs from track 2 to Copenhagen / Helsingør. Remember to get off at Copenhagen Central Station from where you can walk to the hotel in about 15 minutes. Cost DKK 36
From Copenhagen Central Station
At the Central Station any S-train leaving from tracks 11 and 12 will take you to Dybbølsbro Station (1. stop from the Central Station). Exiting the platform via the stairs (or by the lift) to the bridge spanning the terrain, you will see the hotel to your left at the end of the bridge. OBS: You may use the ticket from the first train ride on this extra little trip on an S-train – within one hour, though.
We are looking forward to seeing you here.
