The Copenhagen Marriott Hotel stands out for its prime location, which guests often commend for its convenience to attractions and transport. While the hotel's amenities, including spacious rooms and a varied breakfast, receive appreciation, some visitors suggest improvements in staffing and updates. The service garners positive remarks for friendliness and efficiency, although opinions on value are mixed, with several guests feeling the cost does not match the offerings, citing outdated facilities.
Room opinions vary, with praise for space and views but criticism regarding maintenance and decor. Cleanliness throughout the hotel is consistently celebrated.

Nice but very expensive hotel close to central Copenhagen, nice rooms but service could be improved, both personal at front desk but also service and changes/cleaning of rooms between guests. Front desk only willing to speak English and asked for a membership number and was to make sure this was included in the booking. When such was provided this was however not done and reward membership level was not reflected and responded to. The small sopes and showering amenities bottles in the bathroom were not changed between guests and almost empty when arriving.

I stayed at this hotel for 9 nights when I was doing business in both Denmark and Sweden. Room was very nice. I had a city view which was not good because they are doing construction across the street and all you see are huge cranes. However, I was not willing to pay for a river view. I got to the hotel earlier than check-in and they were able to accommodate me which was great since I came from the US and had been traveling for 12 hours. The breakfast restaurant was great with an omelette station, fresh fruit, breads... something for everyone... Coffee was so strong it could be used for paint remover, but I drank it anyways. The bartenders were great all week and you could order food at the bar if you wanted. Nice location, just a short walk to the train station and many places to eat.. Not in the middle of town, more on the outskirts, but I liked that since I was traveling to Sweden half the time and it was a direct route to the bridge. Overall a very friendly staff and good service. Its not cheap, but Copenhagen is a very expensive city so I expected as much. If you rent a car, you must use an app on your phone called Easypark to park at the hotel... it was about 45 dollars a day.

The Marriott is a good hotel with great potential once it completes its refurbishment. We stayed in a room that was not refurbished and then one that was on the executive floor and the refurbished rooms have much better bathrooms in particular and it lifts this hotels rating to a solid 5.
However the highlight of our stay and the reason for us giving 5 stars was the concierge Kevin who did something highly unusual. When I mentioned that I was seeking advice on experiences and restaurants he not only gave me a well written outline of the options he then followed up. After receiving my decisions he did all of the bookings, bought the tickets, organised an excellent tour guide (Joanna) and then packaged it up in an email setting out timings. My wife was impressed … but the credit was all Kevin’s.
There are so few concierges left who do this. He truly went the extra mile. If I could give a 6 based on the performance of an individual then I would. Marriott you got a 6 with the refurbished rooms and Kevin.

Positive first: big rooms, great location and great views from 11th floor
The hotel is practically empty but still the “breakfast room” is understaffed - guests are piled on top of each other.
No water pressure nor warm water in the room - when informed the front desk answered: “we can’t do anything about that”, really in a so called 5 star hotel?
Marriott status not recognized.
I know Corona times are tough on you, but at least try!
Generally the hotel is starting to show its age, eg threadbare carpets in corridor on floor 11.
But the room was nice and big and the bed very comfortable, and bar staff friendly.

I visited the beautiful city of Copenhagen along with my girlfriend on January of 2023, and for the 4 days of our stay we had the chance to enjoy the accommodation of the humongous and luxurious Marriott hotel.
We had a magnificent Executive King Room on the top 11th floor with lovely views over the canal and town that literally left us speechless, either by day with the sun rising before our eyes or by night when the city’s lights switched on.
We were warmly welcomed by the hotel’s kind and really helpful reception and concierge, given our entry cards and guided to our room where we found a big bottle of ice-cold champagne waiting for us, along with a huge plate full of fresh fruits and a super tasty berries cake.
Inside our room a huge king sized bed with a thick and comfortable mattress made a great impact, together with the bathroom area, super spacious and totally clean.
Down at ground floor level, the restaurant served from early morning some of the most awesome breakfast one may ask for, with sweet and savory varieties that could fulfill any needs or cravings!
And really what can I say about the location, super close to the city center like 2-3 mins by bus, which one can catch literally in front of the hotel’s entrance! Totally important when traveling without a car.
To wrap this up, I really can’t say one negative thing about our experience there! It is 100% recommended, and be sure you won’t regret a second!!
Thank you for an unforgettable stay we had with you Marriott Copenhagen, we can’t wait to be there again soon!!

Furnishings are well-maintained but somewhat dated. Staff was professional and helpful. Location isn't too far from the central train station, but the hotel itself I think only has access to one 1 bus line. Tourist hop on/off bus stops in front of the hotel about every 20 minutes. No interesting restaurants nearby. Breakfast at hotel restaurant was OK (and expensive), but dinner was really poor (and even more expensive). Room (double) had great views of the water/canal, was a good size, and was clean. Housekeeping was oddly stingy with soap.

‘Ello chaps! Marriott hotel is located a short eight minute walk from Copenhagen’s Central Train Station (which is also located across the street from the famous Tivoli amusement park). This makes Marriott very convenient to get around to many of the main attractions and sights in Copenhagen. The hotel offers splendid views of the City and river front. The rooms are spacious and very clean and comfortable. The rooms and hotel also have very large windows giving expansive views. The staff at the hotel is very friendly and attentive. NOTE: If it’s raining on your visit, ask the concierge for a complimentary umbrella for use. Their’s are quite sturdy and we made excellent use of them. Overall I give Marriott in downtown Copenhagen five stars out of five stars.

Great location - was easy to navigate areas using canal as starting point
Clean rooms - rooms were clean, has toiletries, iron, hair drier(no nozzle) tea making facilities (not enough). Next time we would of brought our own as you had an empty fridge for milk. Rooms were warm, shower was good with plenty of towels.
Only negative hotel was used for parties so we had to fight through crowds outside smoking to get into the hotel

Great location for walking and exploring the city center. Most museums can be walked to in 5-15 minutes. Large, clean comfortable rooms. Had an upgraded room with a view of the waterfront. Very bright and cheerful. Service was great all round. Monica at reception was especially kind and helpful. Breakfast had a good variety to chose from. An inexpensive and good variety of foods can be found at Tivoli Food Hall. 10 minute walk from the hotel, across from the Central station. 15 different vendors to choose from, cost between 65-135Kr per person. Ate there several times and we were always pleased.

Great location - it's a straight/flat walk from the Copenhagen Central Station which takes about 15mins.
Located on the waterfront, the views from our upgraded room on the 11th floor were simply wonderful. The room itself was large with a very decent shower and bath, and all the usual mod-cons.
Service was great all round, the only real issue was the executive lounge which was only serving breakfast at the weekend and barely offered anything during the evenings (just some very simple charcuterie, no cheese or canapés, etc). Also, the glasses were not properly cleaned...holding each of them up to the light would reveal lipstick marks! And the lounge closed at 22:00. If we had paid for lounge access, we would have been extremely disappointed.
Breakfast served in the main restaurant was very good as was the breakfast in the executive lounge at the weekend. The main difference being the egg station in the main restaurant for omelettes, etc (interestingly, no omelettes were served at the weekend, only fried eggs).
There's a large gym located on the lower ground floor which had a good range of workout equipment. And there's lots of seating space in the lobby area together with some outside seating overlooking the water.
Despite the problems with the executive lounge, we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and especially its location.

Being one of those crazy Americans who likes their drinks cold, is there ice available at the hotel?
Yes, there's ice available. We got ice for the room but I don't remember exactly where the machines were located, I believe that they were near the elevators. You can contact the hotel directly if you want to make sure, they were extremely responsive to our questions.
Best to contact the hotel directly and inquire. We didn't stay in a junior suite.
