Newly built villas. We stayed at the Phoenix villa , which is suitable for four persons. Really clean and beautiful accommodation in the woods. It offers a big swimming pool. The host is really there for you for whatever you need. Really a great 10 for everything. Thank you also for the wine. That was a very polite gesture! Excellent outdoor seating and patio. Great weather and a need to visit island!

Andonis & family so very helpful from the start of our booking. Was there to meet us @ the port. Views amazing from Villa but you must rent a 4x4 if you want to see all of beautiful Skopelos. Pool clean & large enough to swim in. Stars all abound the terrace @ night. Villa clean, comfortable & well equipped with air-con in bedrooms The food on Skopelos very good with a great choice of food & restaurants, lots to see but very quiet in the evenings, perfect!! Andonis always happy to advise, helped make our stay so enjoyable. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed in Villa Dhelfi for a week and really pleased we did. Booked through AirBnB and Andonis was the perfect host and guide taking us up to the Villa and providing loads of great tips and advice. He and his parents (who help keep the place and the fabulous pool in great condition) were delightful. The Villa was well equipped, spacious and comfortable. No Wifi (not available in the mountains) but it had mobile reception and there was always Wifi in the bars and restaurants we stayed in. We loved being in the mountains. They are beautiful in their own right (we love the smell of pine forests) and the view from the Villa's 3 terraces down to the sea and the islands beyond is glorious. We also found it cooler up in the mountains and with a great private pool it was a joy to retreat to after a hot day. The location is also super for touring (we did the whole island) as it's only 20mins to Skopelos Town and less to the West Coast. You'll need a car (we had a 4WD) and the driving is "exciting" so not for nervous drivers but some of the best locations on the island are off-road. Totally recommend the Villa and Andonis and his family as hosts.

just as beautifull as the pictures show, good pool, nicer inside than the pictures show. Very friendly and responsive service from the owner all the way from booking through our stay. Will stay here again if we visit Skopelos again.

Skopelos and our lovely skopeloscountry.com villas are in our hearts. After our 2014 stay whe still did not have enough. The villas are still well kept and clean. New towels and sheets every 4 days is a spoil but so nice. Everything else is in my earlyer reviews. I could get used to sitting here at night gazing at te stars. With the telescope I can see Saturn, but it is so hard to take a picture! How to get to Skopelos? / Sporades? This time we flew from Amsterdam to Athens becouse Rianair stopt service at Volos. Volos was a good alternative see my other reports. To go to the Sporades you take a taxi to Agios Konstantinos or go with public transportation. First take bus X93 just outside the terminal to Liosion bus station €6,- 45minutes. Then take the intercity bus to agios Konstantinos €17,- this will take a good 2 hours. Here you take a ferry. Arriving at Skopelos we learned that after years of absence there is a new ferryservice from Thessaloniki. So this will be our destination next time. If only all services remain... Read my reviews from our previous stays and make sure to go here in september or so! Cheers.

Quick update of our stay this summer (2014): The new road crossing the island is fantastic! Although we did not use it that often, Sendoukia house is fitted with air-conditioning in the bedrooms! Again we had a lovely stay of 18 days!

We really shouldn’t share this information on Tripadvisor, just to keep Skopelos Country Villas all to ourselves. But that would be totally unfair to the owner Andonis Radistis who created these two fantastic Villas, smack in the middle of holiday paradise: Skopelos. So far we stayed there 3 times with 4 up to 8 people (including kids age 8 – 13) and would like to go there much more often. What can we say? All the information on the site Skopeloscountry.com is as promised and often, in our experience, better. The villas are very comfortable and the nature is breathtakingly beautiful. Most important the owner is super nice, totally trustworthy and takes care of lots of things to make sure you have the perfect holiday. For Skopelos? See the film Mama Mia! The relative isolation of Skopelos and these two villas in the middle of the island is for us a true bonus. This said, we can imagine that this is not the case for everybody. Do you like to stumble out of the plane and in to your accommodation/beach-chair? Do you want to walk no more than 100 meters from the disco to you bed to crash out? Well ... don’t go here! Are you a bit more adventures and can your kids swim? Do you want to have a choice in being in (quiet) middle of nature, romantic harbours and almost private beaches? Yes? You really should consider going! This is how our typical day looks like: Waking up at the laughter of the kids playing in the pool(s). Slowly starting your day, gazing at the views. Solving the one big problem of the day: which beach should we go to? Travelling there crossing the mountains (since 2013 the road is paved!) Stopping on the way for the views, goats on the road, getting groceries or a drink. Enjoy the super beaches of Skopelos, having a lovely dinner at a restaurant/tavern, or BBQ-ing at the villas. Finally enjoying the cool mountain breeze in the evening with drinks, chatting, while being mesmerized by the stars. The fact that Skopelos is only reachable by ferry, makes it an unspoiled place where many Greeks take a Holiday. ‘Seats only’ tickets from the Netherlands (where we come from) to Skiatos are relatively expensive. Taking the ferry from Skiathos to Skopelos is a breeze. If you have an early flight on the way back it is advised to travel to Skiathos one day earlier (in case of high seas!) but it is our experience that an early ferry is doable. Alternative is flying on the mainland with Ryanair to Volos. This is much less expensive but a bit of an adventure in itself. With the help of a ‘pilot’ taxi driver we managed to catch the last ferry . Next time we will find out how to travel to Skopelos from Athens. It will contain a trip by bus to Agios Konstantinos. So, if you willing to put in the effort to travel to Skopelos, we promise the rewards and warm welcome of Andonis will be great! Stef en Marja The Hague, Netherlands
