I've just returned home from a 4 night stay here and we wish we could have extended but there are a lot of pros and cons to this place and I'm sure they'll be echoed by more people. This hotel, in my opinion, could be a 5-star if it could eliminate the little things that cheapen the experience. They've almost got it, they're just not quite there. This is the perfect getaway if you want to chill out by the pool all day in the sun with a nice view and OK drinks and not really do much of anything else. The welcome at the hotel was lovely, someone handled our bags, we were given a welcome drink and all of the usual paperwork to sign. All of the staff were great but the info was quite a lot considering we'd been up early and just got off a flight. It was difficult to remember what times the various restaurants and bars opened and closed, how often the beach and Benitses drop-offs were etc. It was a lot. When we got to our room, my first impression was WOW! This really is the nicest place we've ever stayed and the view across the sea is amazing. We had a sea view suite at the front of the hotel so if you don’t like constantly hearing the sound of people coming and going from the hotel or taxi’s pulling up frequently or you would just prefer a little more privacy, maybe request one that’s not at the front of the hotel. Once the initial impression had worn off, I soon started to notice staining on pretty much every single wooden surface in the room. Visible hand prints on the wardrobes and what looks like spillages down the fronts of the drawers, marks on the table, by the coffee machine and the little desk space behind the bed.. It's a little off putting and we later figured out this may have something to do with the iron situation. We asked to borrow an iron on our first day to iron our own clothes for the evening and we were told we could borrow an iron but they had no ironing boards so we figured people may have been using the wooden sideboards and tables to iron on or steam their clothes maybe. They do offer a laundry and pressing service which obviously isn't free but they would probably prefer you use the pressing service. I much prefer to do my own ironing, especially if I'm about to go out and just need to iron a few creases out of my dress. I don’t want to have to pay and wait for it to be dropped back off. Providing an iron with no ironing board, to me, just doesn’t make sense. It's an idyllic location, the pool is lovely but it is SO COLD. It's ok if you’re brave enough to have a quick dip but even in hot weather, it is still very cold. It could do with being a few degrees warmer but I understand that's not what they offer and maybe in the peak of summer, maybe the pool is warmer. You can't stay in it for any length of time. While I was in it, I was quite perplexed at seeing tiles missing in the pool, especially as it’s new. Plenty of sun loungers (for now when it’s quieter than usual) but they are sometimes a little dirty if I'm honest. On more than one occasion we saw general staining, suncream stains, the remains of a cigarette stuck to the side of one of them and cigarette ash on the floor. Our parasol was also broken and kept falling down so we moved. I'm glad towels and water are provided when you first visit the pool and the shower and changing facilities are well maintained. However, we fancied a dip at around 8am just before our breakfast and we were told we couldn't use the pool until 9am which given the indoor pool is closed, was a bit of a bummer. There are no signs anywhere which tell you when the pool opens. Room service. Just really don't bother. Some of the food is not overly expensive. We got room service on our first night because we were too tired. I ordered chicken nuggets and chips (because why not?) which was 12 euros but what came was a scrawny fillet of breaded chicken which had been sliced and was terrible to be honest. I actually said to my other half "if I get ill, I'm blaming this chicken". I desperately tried and failed to open the packets of ketchup because it needed covering up with some kind of flavour. Please save yourself from the disappointment of room service and just get something from Benitses. Bring your own hairdryer if you can because the ones provided are awful. The end bit kept falling off as I was using it and it was super cheap. It was just a bit rubbish. I was confused as to whether the items in the mini bar were free or not, there was no price list but I didn't dare drink anything incase the price was ridiculous. The coffee machine is a nice touch though. It was lovely waking up and making a little coffee to enjoy on our terrace. I'm also really glad that bottled water is provided in the rooms too. It saved us from having to buy a lot of water during our trip. We tried the beach, it really wasn't for me. The beaches on this coast are naturally pebbly and rocky. The private beach, which is difficult to get to unless you know where to go or you get the shuttle down, is obviously man made with sand just dumped over the pebbles as best as possible but getting into the water over the pebbles and rocks and crispy sea debris isn't my idea of a good time at the beach so we left and went back to the sunbeds by the pool. I would have loved to have visited the spa, it looks absolutely stunning, and I would have liked to browse the clothing boutique but no-one was ever there and it was closed off. It seems like it's more for show which is a shame because some of the clothes looked beautiful. The breakfast at the hotel was an absolute highlight for me. That is the breakfast to beat on any future holidays. The amount of options at breakfast is incredible. Literally, anything you could want. Always a warm welcome by the staff too. Overall the majority of staff at the hotel are really lovely and friendly and seem genuinely happy to have you there. Other staff don’t even look at you or wish you a good morning and sometimes it’s a little hard to attract their attention to clear plates or order more drinks. The food and service in Benitses was wonderful and it was great to have the shuttle service from the hotel in the evenings and the bus stop for Corfu Town is just at the bottom of the hill so, a great location. Definitely take the shuttle to Benitses. We walked there and back on the first night and the pavement is really uneven, open holes, loose paving, not well lit at night either. You also have to pass open waste bins and we unfortunately had to walk past a dead cat. It wasn't a pleasant walk. The walk up and down the hill from the hotel actually isn't too bad but thank goodness for the shuttle service. We’re glad we didn’t decide to get a private villa with a pool. The pools are probably not heated either as we never saw anyone in them and we definitely could see into them. The villas are very overlooked so bear that in mind when booking one. Despite all of the niggles, we think we’d return as the pros outweigh the cons and in time, I think this could be an incredible resort, it's just not quite there yet and I’m glad we booked on a deal instead of paying full price. Overall, we had a lovely time, we were able to relax and take in the views and really just switch off which is what we needed.

Regarding the quantity of the informations at your check-in, as we can understand that our guests can’t keep all the details, they can find in their rooms the personalized welcome letter. Furthermore, our staff at the Front Office or at Concierge desk are more than happy to assist with our guests inquires. We are sorry that during your stay we didn’t provide you iron boards when you requested, as our supplier delayed the order, due to covid-19 restrictions on other countries borders. Furthermore, our guests can check the exclusivi app any time, during their stay. Although, our service for ironing is quick and the excellent result will leave you satisfied. Unfortunately, our external pool is not heated and we cannot use the internal heated pool, due to covid-19 governmental measurements. Covid is a major factor during these unprecedented times and we are obligated to follow the rules for the common health. In Angsana we are always trying to “be the light that helps other see”. As per our pool signs, kindly be informed we do write the operational hours (as swimming pool rules & regulations), located at the pool towel collection area. With reference to the beach, we would like to inform you that we provide a complimentary beach van every 30 min. or upon requests. As per the open-air boutique for clothing, the operational hours are 09:00-14:00 & 17:00-20:00. Furthermore, our front office team is more than happy to inform the staff from the boutique, in case that our guests want to take a look. Regarding the pool at the villas, we would like to inform you that all 33 villas have pools of which 11 are with heated water. Last but not least, it is gratifying for the whole team to read that you’ve enjoyed the hotel’s overall atmosphere and that you relaxed to our resort, however we are always working positively towards improvement in our products and services and we do look forward to welcome you back to experience the changes we have made. Property's Favorite Review
This place is paradise. We had an amazing experience coming to Angsana Corfu for our last day in the island. We loved recharging our batteries around the infinity pool (which is stunning), enjoying our spacious and modern suite, eating delicious food at the Ruen Romsai, and speaking with lovely staff (thanks Angela in the reception, Sotiris and Maria of the F&B team!). We were sad to leave and will definitely be there for more nights during our next time in Corfu. Thanks again for this 10/10 stay!

This is the hotel's first (partial) season but the brand should know better and through a series of poor decisions have missed the mark on what could be, and may become, a wonderful place. I pesonally placed stock in a substantial Telegraph review before coming, which I think was probably comisisoned. I write this whilst still a guest but do so because I have time and I think people may want to know. I've tried to be fair but also rely on the discern which I expect would be patrons of this sort of establishment would have. Pros: - New and clean rooms -Beautiful pool area -Spa is already functioning at top end level. Cannot fault them, at all. -Great Gym -Solid restaurants but very pricy. Not just Botrinis which lives up to its M star billing but Koh where a main can cost as much as three course meal for two in the local town. - The breakfast buffet are good and the barrista is utterly superb. He totally stands out. Negatives Staff - Nice enough but lamentable for their inexperience. The hotel has clearly hired an army of staff who are fairly new to hospitality. This leads to bizarre lapses in attention, service and approach. For example, on enquiring whether they have a condiment, being told go go and ask one of their colleagues; or a general 'computer says no' approach to any request, forcing you, every time, to escalate and eventually getting a semblance of common sense. Approach - On our first day a staff member collapsed by the pool side. He was convulsing and screaming, begging for an ambulance. There was significant commotion. To date, nobody from the hotel has even put a note under guests' door to say he is OK. It would again point to a lack of experience when dealing with situations which a hotel should be able to manage. - Management are seemingly unaware, invisible or irresponsible. Given this hotel is trading on a brand which is predicated on Easten hospitality, they haven't joined that up. Nobody seeks to treat you as a welcome and valued guest. If I was them I'd be bringing in a manager from one of their other locations to get things into alignment. Absence - At various points visiting the Concierge desk demonstrated as futile. They aren't there. Pleasant enough when about. The pool - Any number of guests shared our perception that thr beautiful pool was simply, far, far, far too cold. It wasn't possible to stay in and soak in the vistas. Instead, it serves as an ice bath to hop in and out of. Prices - Hotels often offer racy transfers, the quotes they give her boarder on offensive. Taxis from the airport fix the proce for a 20 min journey at 35 euros each way which is probably still a healthy margin but sits well below the 75-90 the hotel suggest (each way!). We have travelled a fair bit and know good service. No qualms about paying for it either. The truth is, they are at the bottom end of a steep maturity curve. Until or unless they address that, they will find that guests write reviews like this one. A lot of potential but nowhere near its billing. A shame.

This is a brand new hotel which has what I can best describe as one of the best infinity swimming pools I have seen in a lovely location. My family and I stayed here for our first 3 nights of a 7 day holiday in August and my only regret is that we did not stay longer. This is a genuine 5 star resort with a fantastic gym and spa. The only downside at the moment is the cost of their restaurants when there are many good quality well priced family restaurants in Benitses which you can walk to in 10 mins from the hotel beach. As a result we did not get to eat in any of the restaurants save for breakfast which is a shame because the menus looked good!! There were also a number of quite pretentious guests taking selfies in and around the pool which after a while can be quite irritating. But I guess that is inevitable with this type of high end hotel. Overall we really enjoyed our experience at this fantastic resort which has the potential to only get better.

This hotel is absolutely stunning. We stayed here in September. The weather was beautiful which helped. The infinity pool has views across to Greece and there are lots of different bars and areas where you can take in the views. We had a sea view suite which was modern & spacious with views of the pool and sea. We would definitely come again but it looks like the prices will be a lot higher next year (unfortunately).
