We have just returned from a fabulous 7 night stay at Koukoumi. From the staff, to the accommodations, to the food, it’s hard to find fault in this hotel! We stayed in two different rooms during our stay, 4 nights in the Master Suite (room 5) and 3 nights in an Executive Suite (room 9). The 3 Master Suites are located on the lower level and very close to the pool area. Our room included an undercover outdoor jacuzzi and a small seating area. The rooms are bright, clean and minimalistic. The bed was very comfortable and all the toiletries are Korres (vegan and cruelty free of course). The mini water bottles and mini bar snacks (complimentary) are replenished daily. Our Executive Suite was located on the upper level with a spacious outdoor seating area. This room was bright and airy. The rooms remain at a fairly cool temperature, even without the air conditioning on. We opted for the B&B room rate, however the HB or FB options also seem to be fairly good value if you plan on eating in the hotel. The food was absolutely delicious! We are both vegan and it was such a treat to be able to indulge in whatever we fancied at breakfast! The choices included pastries (sweet and savoury) cereals, yoghurt, fruit, breads, and hot plates such as tofu scramble, chickpea flour omelette, sweet or savoury pancakes and fresh juices and a choice of coffee options. We ate most of our meals in the hotel and virtually made our way through the entire menu it was that good! We headed out to one of the local beaches on one day and were able to get food to take away with us which was great! The pool area in the hotel is lovely, the magnesium water was a great temperature as there’s nothing worse than when it is too cold! The hotel was pretty full whilst we were there, however luckily we were always to grab a spot by the pool. Many people visit the hotel just to use the restaurant so it can get fairly busy and it is therefore worthwhile to make a reservation, particularly for the evenings. The hotel were kind enough to arrange airport transfers for us (approx €40) even at short notice, which was really helpful as it can be quite difficult to locate a taxi in Mykonos. We made use of the gorgeous spa within the hotel and had a few treatments which were extremely relaxing! We also used the gym on several occasions (this had to be pre-booked as only one room could use it at any one time). As the hotel is located in Ano Mera, it is worth noting that travelling to the centre of town or beaches can be costly if travelling by taxi (approx €30 one way), however as we mostly stayed in the hotel, this wasn’t too much of an issue. The staff at the Reception were so friendly and helpful when assisting us in choosing the right beaches to visit and also helped us hire a car for the day at short notice (approx €70-€100 inc. pick up/drop off at hotel). The bar/restaurant staff were also really helpful in offering recommendations for bars to visit in the evenings. Our visit to Mykonos was our first proper holiday since the beginning of COVID and we couldn’t have made a better choice than Koukoumi. The amazing staff are definitely what make this hotel: Nantin, Marianna, Aggeliki, Stelios, Anna, Mireta, Chef Aggeliki, Ilias, Xristos, Alexandra, Dimitra, Apostolis, Giannis, Fatma, Eleana, Tasos, Achiteas, Kostantinos, Giasemi, Manolis (apologies if any names have been missed!). Not to mention the warm welcome we received from the founder of Koukoumi, Georgia Kontiza. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we can’t wait to return!

We stay in this nice hotel for two weeks, enough time to make a proper evaluation of the service and the entire structure. The hotel is a 4 stars. The vegan concept they have is unique in the island, the breakfast has different choices of sweet and salt, the mastersuite we had was spacious but without a proper “vegan element” inside, to mark the vegan concept. Rooms are located around the pool, so the problem in the morning are the screams of babies who get your wakeup call, not so nice. Mykonos is not an island for families with babies so i suggest to the director of this hotel not to accept families with children under the age of 10. We didn’t try the kitchen and the vegan restaurant. The service is good, the guys payed attention to everyone and were extremely nice, even when we had to charge our electric car, they provide us cable of AC outside the parking.

Me and a couple of friends (not vegan) visited the hotel's restaurant to try some new tastes. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and then by the general manager who offered us a tour around the main areas of the hotel explaining also the vegan philosophy which has been implemented. Staff was very friendly and well informed about the menu. When food was served, we could not express ourselves how tasty it was. All ingredients were fresh and properly cooked and we were really satisfied with everything and both friends commented that it had been their best culinary experience they had ever had, and I couldn't agree more. Koukoumi hotel is super clean, its atmosphere very relaxing, its staff very welcoming and definitely a place I would like to spend my holidays at!

2 weeks flew by in Koukoumi and we are more than grateful for the kindness, love, and care we have experienced here. The first vegan hotel in Greece proved to be a second home run by a world-class team of wonderful people. From the most beautiful design, over the delicious 100% plant-based food to the amazing spa (the temple), we just loved everything about it. Most of all we felt like part of a like-minded community and appreciated the help with our little twins around the pool or in the restaurant. Not the easiest thing to travel with twin toddlers, but here it was smooth - almost always.

This hotel is absolutely lovely and it's hands down the most amazing place I have ever been to on vacation! It is stunning, so beautifully designed, everything is always clean and tidy and I loved the white-washed architecture (same as a lot of buildings in Mikonos). The staff was so nice and welcoming, everytime we passed by a staff member they greeted us with a smile, sometimes asking how our day was or what we have planned for the evening, and always willing to help with recommendations for attractions and places to see and go. We booked three nights at Koukoumi, in the superior suite, and got upgraded to the executive suite which was awesome. A day before we arrived I asked them to arrange a little surprise in our room (flowers and wine) because it was my partner's birthday. They gladly fulfilled my request and offered to also prepare a cake for us which was so cute. There is a restaurant at the hotel where you will find the absolute best vegan food in all of Mikonos. Many different dishes, all delicious! The atmosphere is very pleasent and romantic. During our stay we tried eating at 2 other places (not vegan but woth veg-options) in Mikonos. The other places were good but just not as good as the hotel restaurant, so we kept eating most of our meals at the hotel. We booked only a half-pension so breakfast was included and other meals were not (btw the breakfast buffet is great and it was so fun and refreshing to see the wide selection of vegan options in a hotel breakfast!). But we were still able to reserve a table for lunch and dinner when we wanted. The restaurant is located by the pool and you chill at the pool you can order smoothies, cocktails and small meals from the restaurant which is really convenient. Other things to do at the hotel besides eating, chilling in your beautiful room or chilling at the pool - there is a great gym, highly equipped and you can come there by yourself or book a training session/yoga session with a professional trainer. We took a yoga class and afterwards decided to book another one. Also there is a great spa that offersdifferent kinds of massages and facial treatments It's important to mention that Koukoumi is a completely vegan boutique hotel. So if you are vegan and want an intimate and indulging vacation, this is the place for you! And if you aren't vegan, I suggest you try this place because it might change everything you thought you knew about vegan food, and even if it doesn't you will still have an amazing time here. To sum it up, Koukoumi is a great place to stay and I recommend it to anyone who wants to relax, eat good food and have a good time.
