Psirri / Gazi

Side-by-side neighborhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.

Arion hotel is located very close to Psiri square and close to Monastiraki The hotel offers nice rooms ,very good wifi and good breakfast The staff is very nice and if you get a room with a balcony then you will be very happy because every day you will have Parthenon view …

Athens stay in November

This is my first stay at this hotel, and my wife’s second stay. For the price you pay, this is good value for money. Central location, a few minutes walk from Monasteraki and all the restaurants and shops, courteous employees, decent breakfast.

A nice hotel close to Monastraki

I stayed for five nights at this hotel and though it is a tad expensive, the stay was worth it. The hotel is close to Monastraki, which is one station away from the main Syntagma Square and has several shops, taverns etc. Quite safe to walk around even at night. Hotel rooms are…

Athens stay in August

Great place and location so close to shops and resturants. Room was Okay two singles beds pushed together didn't like that. View had appartments facing me. Close to everything Monastiraki so close and all the old historical buildings so close walking distance. Staff were good.

How far is amalia hotel from your location?

Hi Arion Athens Hotel, we will be staying with you on the 21st July for one night. Please could you tell me if there is car parking and how long it takes to drive to you from the airport. Our flight gets in at 8.30 so we may not get to you till quite late. Is this OK? Many thanks, Kate Glanville

Dear Kate, the hotel has 24h reception, therefore check-in can be completed at any time. The drive from the airport to the hotel is approximately 45 minutes and there are a few car parkings close to the hotel that the reception can direct you to.
