Exarchia is in many ways Athens’ best-kept secret, discovered by relatively few international visitors. Located behind the main University and Polytechnic buildings, it is unsurprisingly home to many students, intellectuals and politicos. This is reflected in the area’s vibrant street art and graffiti, which seems to cover almost every inch of wall space. Some of the best Athenian tavernas are located here, as well as its most alternative bars and underground music venues. You'll find political bookshops and quirky stores here, yet it is also a neighborhood inhabited by families and older folk. On Saturdays, punks and grandmothers alike head for Kallidromiou Street, nestled below Strefi Hill, to pick up fresh produce at the traditional laiki agora (street market).

I thought the room was very clean and the breakfasts were varied with healthy options! The location, in my opinion, was convenient to other areas to Athens. The only thing I wished was open was the rooftop bar as I am sure it had great views of Athens at night.

Great hotel, centrally located. Good breakfast. Fair price. Might be a bit noisy if you have a srteet view room despite triple glass windows. The staff tries their best for your comfort and is really helpful. There is free parking out on the street infront of the hotel reserved

Is this hotel right in the center or near? Is it in a safe part of Athens?
It's off the tourist center of Athens but the Parthenon is only a few metro stops away. There are good restaurants nearby. The surrounding areas near the hotel are heavily vandalized with graffiti but don't let that put you off. It's quite safe to walk around the vicinity of the hotel at night.
