Not only big, clean and bright but also quiet, luxury and convenient room. We stayed three nights at the hotel Vitruvius and what we enjoyed most was the breakfast service which we had at the balcony of our room. It is unique experience to eat your meal having such a great view from your balcony. We have to add that around the hotel there are wonderful places to eat or have a drink.
Super convenient location in the heart of Athens but still nice and quiet. The room was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the breakfast. Thw staff at Vitruvius hotel very friendly and helpful, great recommendations from them for nearby restaurants as well as for other locations . Quick pickup from the airport . My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and thank the hotel for their hospitality
Before my booking i read many of the reviews here and i was really surprise when i checked in. is a boutique hotel, brand new everything its smarty and is really clean. Is one of the most clean city hotel that i have stay. The area is too safe, is part of the historical center, i walk all 3 days and its next to the sub way. Its the best option since the price its very low for this hotel. The hydromassage spa shower was very relaxing when i was return to the hotel and the breakfast was full of local tastes. I really be back, thank for everything to the front office. For couples its an ideal solution due to the glass bathrooms.
I am surprised how someone can destroy very well done rooms and facilities with stupid toilet design with glass wall!!! We were with kids and it was not possible to use toilet/shower without the other leave the room:-(. I bought glue tape and use sheet and put it over the glass wall as they don’t have curtain on glass wall:-(. Restoran is not walking during day/night and the area is full of strange young people walking around and visiting prostitutes in brothels
A smart hotel needs humans too Vitruvius hotel is the first so-called Smart hotel I have ever stayed in but I am not sure it is actually as Smart as it thinks it is. Before the criticism, I must say the two ladies who seemed on their own responsible for running the hotel between them were amazing - always helpful and friendly and even organised me a birthday bottle of wine. The rooms were also nice with surprisingly and possibly unnecessarily huge bathrooms and amazing showers. But here’s the problem- How can a hotel with 6 floors and presumably at least dozens of rooms and customers survive and provide adequate service and maintenance with just one person. When I arrived at the tiny reception, the first problem was that the Smart key to my room did not work. No one could fix it so I had to use the hotel’s only non-Smart key and annoyingly leave it with reception every time I went out. The rooms advertised Netflix in their Smart repertoire but no sign of it. Nobody to fix it. The Smart bathroom light which comes on when you enter stopped working.. Again throughout the whole of my 4 night stay no one could fix it. A hotel - Smart or not so smart - should have an on call team of people able to fix things for paying customers 24 hours a day or it’s just not fit for purpose. Also you must appreciate that this hotel does not have other facilities like a restaurant or bar. It is basically just a room and breakfast - which was advertised as an English breakfast but was actually a range of pastries with coffee and juice. And although it is called Vitruvius Smart Hotel and Spa - I saw no sign of a spa. Also if you’re concerned about security it may not be the place for you. When the staff warn you about the drug dealers round the corner you know you are not in Athens equivalent of Kensington. The views were also not great. But I do repeat the ridiculously few staff the hotel had were wonderful - Vitruvius just needs more of them.…
