Neighborhood
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.

We visit a different European city every winter and this year was Athens. I wasn't overly impressed with Athens although the Greeks we met were all friendly. Very busy and throngs of people (and this is off-season) and riddled with graffiti. About 10% is artistic and the other

The hotel is located in the middle of the Plaka, on a pedestrian-only street. Close to everything, so very easy to tour Athens. Staff is very helpful and friendly. There is no elevator in the building, but staff will carry bags up stairs for you. Because you are in the middle

The hotel is in a perfect location to explore Athens by foot. Many food options right out the door. Easy walk to all the historic sights of Athens. It was a little noisy on the weekend nights from people outside, though. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Planning to book and trying to pick a room. What is the difference between "park view" and "hill view"?
Dear Mrs, we would like to inform that the difference between those rooms is that from the rooms with the hill view you see Acropolis Hill, our characteristic monument and Kidathineon, one of the oldest pedestrian road in Athens. In addition the view, either from the room with balcony either of the room with the window, that they have Hill view, is stunning. From the rooms with the park view, you can see from your balcony, Filomoussos Etaireia square, in front of our Guest House, a small square that it has its own story. If you need any further information contact with us. We hope to see you on your trip in Athens. Kind regards,Palladian Home.
