What a disappointment. Perhaps my expectations were too high but the Purple Pub didn’t meet them. One very ordinary bar and only two mid strength beers on tap and a restricted range of bottled beer. Bar staff didn’t seem interested in anyone but locals. No character. No interest. Just a paint job with nothing to back it up.
Food was great & all the staff were very helpful. We would come back again, nice place to lay your after a very long day of travel & Lovely gardens. We had a very nice meal & enjoyed the great country service
The purple colour scheme is worth a visit on it’s own. The pub itself is full of character and offers good pub grub. Nice spot to spend the night. Lots of quirky items on display and interesting things to see.
A friendly pub, lovely staff, awesome burgers and cold beer. Our son has fun exploring the bee garden and our Great Dane was welcome to be tied up on the verandah and even had a bucket of water provided. Worth a stop!
The Purple Pub is well worth having a cold drink at and enjoying the atmosphere and surrounds. It is a must see in this town. The walls are decorated with various items from the past. The food is good to eat while relaxing during or after travelling.
