Apparently the Albion has some fairly new owners and they seem keen to make a good go of it. The staff are friendly and they seem keen to have extra activities. I was there on a Thursday night when they have a Trivia night. I was on my own but it wasn't long before I was invited into a group by one of the teams. It's great when the locals also help support their local pub by making visitors welcome. Great little pub. I'd go again. Good job.
Me and my girlfriend traveled all the way in from Darwin...We were pretty tired on arriving.. However we were greeted by friendly locals and Very Happy staff .. The room is Basic and comfy Aircon and en-suite
The motel is located behind the hotel. Check in is in the bar. The staff were very friendly. The room was basic. Furthermore, the aircon was noisy, there was no plug for the sink and there was a lack of power points. But the water was hot. However, cleaning of the rooms is dubious: there was a used towel still hanging in the bathroom and a plastic cap from shampoo on the shower floor. We stayed two nights and the room was not serviced in the time (so no replacement biscuits).
The room provided what we needed - beds, bath, tv, and in-room coffee. Not fancy but it was clean and quiet. I wish we had tried the restaurant because the ratings are great. The owner was very pleasant.
A great pub with friendly locals, relaxed publicans and great hospitality. Our room was a basic motel styled room with its own bathroom. The room had everything we needed and was very clean. The food was outstanding and good value for money. We tried the Chicken Schnitzel, Rib Fillet and the Barra - all were super generous servings and very tasty. It’s a small pub with a big deck out the back which is a terrific spot for a couple of quiet drinks and your meal.
