The room was not clean to a standard I expected. Yes the cabins are older but you can have old and still be clean. No forks in cutlery and a can opener that didn't work. Minimal crockery and cutlery provided. The curtains were disgustingly dirty and the outside verandah covered in dirt and cobwebs and dust on the walls. TV remote did not work even with new batteries bought by me. I'm glad I brought my own towel and pillows. There was also a horrible stench at the front reception area that made me want to vomit. All in all I won't return.

Well I’m not sure where to start!!!! Upon check in the first thing that stood out was the filthy, cluttered unorganised reception, from here I walked to my “DELUX” unit through an overgrown and unkept pathway past several dead and rotting birds. I entered my unit and went to make a coffee to discover the crockery wasn’t all clean so I put my dirty cup in the dirty sink that had food in the catcher. I sat on the couch and tried to turn the TV on but the remote didn’t work so I sat back and realised that there was something behind me on the couch, when I stood up the dirty men’s underwear dropped behind the couch. I decided to take a shower and went to open the bathroom window and the handle fell off. The shower bay had hair in it and was grotty!!! Then pulled back the bed and it was filthy, full of dark hairs and had just been pulled up after the last person had stayed (yep the linen had not been changed) at this point I decided to check out just 2 hours after I checked in! Nothing deluxe about this place at all. I asked the reception to come to my room to inspect my concerns and they had no issues with the room!’nnn

We chose this park mainly due to the fact it had a lovely swimming pool. I would not recommend this park, other than it dies have a pool which is wonderful on the hot days. The park is old and very tired. Little things that could be done, the leaking water tap that just needed tightening by my husband to the fact that 3- out 4 washing machines were out of order. We all understand tradesmen maybe hard to get but an explanation sign may have been better than " out of order" on each machine. The amenities block whilst clean is very very tired, only one of the doors in ladies toilets actually locked shut and the paint is peeling off walls and doors. The female staff member was the grumpiest we have encountered in all our many trips to the mainland.

There is a certain lack of quality that you can tolerate being so remote, but my room quite obviously had an issue with the bathroom and smelled like sewage was leaking. To say it was bad is an understatement. I've been into long drops that aren't as bad. I showed it to my colleague and they were appaled at how wretched it was. Needless to say I spoke to management about it, the man was friendly and went to check it out while we went to work. I came back and he said he tried to fix it and put deodoriser into the toilet but couldn't find the source. He was friendly. I liked him. But the problem wasn't fixed. And it seemed like it couldn't be fixed. So we decided to check into the Gulflander instead. I was going to do this quietly. No reviews. No fuss. Just drop the keys and leave. Like I said... I understand there are challenges working out this remote and didn't hold it against them. But... When I went to drop the keys off, the lady (I'd never seen her before) was absolutely horrible. I simply was handing her the keys, with a smile on my face when she snapped at me "There is nothing wrong with it!" Surprised, I replied "Yes, it smells like sewage" "No it isn't!" She rips back at me "I just checked it and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it!" "Well, I had to sleep in it and I there is definitely something wrong." This went back and forth until she snatched the keys and said "Bye then!" Disgusting. I was polite. I was trying to be helpful and I got yelled at despite my best efforts to make it easy for them. I wasn't even going to ask for a refund (and I didn't). So... Thanks to the terrible staff. Here is a review of the rooms... My room had the entire bed ripped away from the head board, there was clearly some chemicals spilled outside on the ground. My colleagues room had cockroaches running around, the shower head was leaking, the taps were leaking... There were stains in the coffee mugs... The lady was horrible... Oh yeah... And it smells like someone defecated in my room. 0 stars. Go to the Gulflander.

Our car broke down and they could not have been more helpful. Great pool, lovely owners, and clean facilities. The Albion pub within walking distance has great meals and very friendly staff. We were not going to stay in Normanton however

Stayed for 4 nights, should have stayed longer but will next time. What an absolute beauty, spotlessly clean, friendly managers, what more could you ask for. Easy walking distance to the street. No complaints here

Rented a cabin, very ordinary, not very clean & overpriced. Only saving grace was a large, well-presented swimming pool. Fellow on desk a minimalist on providing tourist information; over visitors I think?

This accomodation is centrally located so just park the car and all attractions are within walking distance. Check in is easy and the accommodation is clean and comfortable. The swimming pool and artesian spa were a welcome gift after a days drive.

On a tour of western Queensland we stayed in a number of cabins in caravan parks. This was by far the weakest of the ones we stayed at. Old, tired and in need of repair and maintenance. It was equipped with the absolute bare essentials. It was clean, but very basic. The common area - the pool and the kitchen were reasonable. The internet - more miss than hit and incredibly slow - but hey this is a remote part of the country. In all honesty I couldn't recommend this place - it was expensive for what you got and poor price value.
