Certificate of Excellence
The Hotel Teatro arose from the spot where the Baquet Theatre was inaugurated in 1859. A hundred and fifty-one years later, the unique, refined and bohemian environment of the Theatre has been revived here in a hotel. The Reception represents a box office, where each guest receives a ticket to access their room. The Restaurant and Bar have become the new Palco and Plateia, offering creations for a discerning palate. The inner courtyard is a versatile garden or a quiet and secluded haven from the tumult of the city. The 74 comfortable rooms and suites are colored in gold and bronze, and the gym on the top floor transforms the Hotel into a true arena for action and relaxation.

While I loved all the attempts with the decor to pay homage to this hotel building's previous life as a theatre it's a little too dramatic for me to improve the rating to 5 stars. The hallways are dark and in the evening the lighting...More

I really wanted to love this theater-themed hotel in the heart of old Porto. You swing open the heavy metal doors and enter a dimly lit lobby that is decorated with movie murals and vintage costumes. Black & white movies run in a loop in...More

The hotel is in a very good location! The staff is so helpful and friendly. The hotel is dark but still a nice, clean, modern hotel. Does not have that European feel. They offer a good breakfast! Recommend!

Great location, in the middle of downtown Porto. They have indoor parking service. The hotel really looks like a theater, it is pretty cool, illuminators, cameras, costumes everywhere. The rooms are good size, well equiped, but a little bit interesting. See through glass doors on...More
