The hotel is neat, close to the subway and a grocery store. The internet worked great. Staff, polite, helpful. There was a storage room. We lived on the top floor, so we had to climb a lot of stairs. There was no elevator.

We booked a room for one night just after our flight. The receptionist that welcomed us was the sweetest. We almost never got a welcome that kind. Unfortunately we don’t remember her name but she was a delight. We were kind of irritated after huge delays on our flight and once we saw her everything went away. The hotel room was really clean. We had a small balcony which was so cute and amazingly calm. The hotel is really ideally located. There’s a lot of grocery stores on the area (fruterias and mini preços). We took our breakfast in the Docel Pastelaria nearby and it was so delicious. The night after we took our diner to go in Zubir Churrasquiera, the best meat we ever had. To sum up, the staff is the best on earth and the hotel is located in a great area ! Obrigada 💕

Nice place: great personnel, very clean room, and ideal location. There are many local eateries, highlighting the Portuguese and Nepalese establishments, and the walk into the historical part of the city (I didn't bother with that this time) can provide many interesting interactions with the locals and others from farther afield. I have no hesitation in recommending Estrela de Arganil.

We stayed at the Estrela, primarily on the recommendations from this site - recommendations very much justified. The Estrela is very well situated in Lisbon, being about twenty minutes' walk from the main city centre, and Anjos metro station a couple of minutes' walk away. The price per night is very reasonable for a capital city (though this does not include breakfast). The rooms are very clean and all have air-con and their own en-suite bathrooms (not as common as you might think!). There is no lift, but the concierge is happy to help with luggage. The concierge was extremely helpful in recommending us several sites of interest, good restaurants in the area, and questions around local travel. He was also flexible around a further booking for when we returned from a three-day trip up the coast. I would certainly stay here again!

Arriving at the street I noticed how busy traffic is there. Also the buildings are a bit old and thus not very well isolated in terms of noise. Nevertheless, when you enter the front door you see a very well maintained place, where the staff are very welcoming. The rooms aren't massive but they are very clean and cosy. I found the mattress too stiff, but it was good for the price. You can definitely hear the metro passing under.

The hotel has a bus stop in front and is close to the metro. About a 20 minute walk to the center. The room was basic but comfortable. Front desk personnel was friendly. The shower was a bit small and the hair dryer shorted out after just a minute on high. That would be my biggest complaint. Also, every time we arrived later in the evening we could never get extra towels for the morning because the person manning the desk did not have the key to the linen closet.

The hotel is very clean and near anjos metro station only 2 minutes walk The only disadvantage is that there is no elevator They mention this on their booking If you are on the first floor then it's okay but the third floor with your luggage is a disaster so travel light and you can be on any floor

Very clean rooms. Location is fine. Friendly staff. Metro station is a 2 minute walk. There are supermarkets and pharmacies near the hotel, Even hairdresser The only drawback is that there isn't an elevator (they mentioned it on their website) But you'll get used to it. Burn calories.

We stayed here for 3 nights in April and found it to be an excellent choice..nothing fancy but completely adequate. The location is very good for commuting by metro from the airport and to downtown. There is a very good pastelaria next door where we ate breakfast every morning and there are lots of restaurants and pastelarias within easy walking distance. The room was a bit dark-it would have been nice to have some better lighting, but it was clean, the beds were comfortable and the private bathroom was very functionable. We had a room at the back so there was not much of a view but it was quiet. The free wifi worked fine-no problems with it at all. We were quite happy with our choice of this hotel and as long as you are in good enough physical shape to walk up a few stairs I would definitely recommend it.
