A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!

Chose this mainly for the location in downtown (Baixa) Lisbon. Turn left on exiting the hotel door and a few minutes walk take you to to the main square by the river Tagus (Commercial square - Praca da Comercio). Great place to sit in one of the many restaurants that encompass

The hotel is an amazing value for money! Rooms are big and the washroom too! The brekfest is served at the time of your choice and you choose what you want the night before...It was a first for me but I liked that and it avoids more waste. Also my favorite restaurant was around

Does anyone know how to contact this hotel? The response from Hagit S didn't work.
If you have the documentation for your holiday, the telephone number should be on then or put the full details in on google and hopefully the telephone will come up....that is all I can suggest.

Hi, we'll use a rent-a-car. Is the hotel provided with the free parking?
Dear Guest, Unfortunately none of the hotels in the Downtown area are provided with parking (free or paid), because of the rebuilt of the city after the 1755 Earthquake. There are many public (paid) parking lots in walking distance. A word of a advice: Lisbon is well known for its narrow streets, so circulating and parking can be time consuming. You can easily reach any point of the city with public transports. Kind Regards, Rui Miranda

Hello Katy, We have cots available. The best rooms for it are the Twins or Premiers. On the Interior View Double it is heavily cramped. Kind regards Rui Miranda
