Lovely guesthouse, great food, made extremely welcome, nothing was too much trouble. I can't imagine wanting to stay anywhere else when I return. Also the patio is a lovely space to chill out. I will definitely stay here again when I come back. Thank you Juan.
Warm welcome on arrival from Juan with offers of drink and snack (highly recommend the homemade biscuits!!) Check in was informative and helpful. Really appreciated the use of mobile phone for our stay as it was packed full of useful information eg transport, places to visit etc Our room was on the bottom floor and due to the layout of the guesthouse we remained undisturbed by other guests for the whole of our stay which really suited us being light sleepers. The bed was comfortable and the bed linen spotless. The bathroom was delightfully decorated, spotlessly clean with thick, cosy towels. The breakfast was varied and presented in a very attractive manner and was fresh and tasty. We had a wonderful time in Lisbon and our stay at Casa Amora. We would be very keen to return before too long. Highly recommend..…
We were in Lisbon for the first time and stayed at Casa Amora for four days. The room space was ample and the location was situated very close to Trolley system and metro bus transportation. We explored the city via guide suggest by by Casa Amora and then used public transportation. Casa Amora communicated very well and had a wonderful breakfast prepared each morning. Highly recommend this little gem.
We chose Casa Amora because our friends live right next door. I really did not need to do anymore research as we wanted to stay as close as possible to them. We booked the duplex with the patio. We were greeted by Juan. There is no actual lobby so check in was done in the breakfast area. He gave us the rundown of the city and sights. They do give you a smart phone to use during your stay. We have found these to be very helpful when hotels offer this service. My one piece of advice is activate Uber on this phone before you leave the hotel. - just in case your real cell phone dies while you are at a castle in Sintra - yes this happened - but because we had this phone we were able to call our friends on it and have them call the Uber for us - now having Uber find us was a whole other issue. The room was great and the prefect amount of space for a hotel in the city. Just wish there was a dresser on the first floor as we did not want to carry our bags up the stairs to where the bed and dressers were. Breakfast is the perfect amount of food and delicious. Great little treats in a jar at all times of the day. Pablo and Juana are super friendly and easy to talk to and will help with anything that you may need. Within walking distance on most areas. Loved being in a quiet part of the city away from the crowds, Also loved Procopio bar nextdoor. - opens at 5 and a great way to finish the day. Can’t say enough great things about this place. Even if my friends move from nextdoor I will stay here again when visiting Lisbon.…
When deciding on a place to stay just pick this place immediately and then move on with your holiday decisions. The staff here examplifies everything you want from a guesthouse; from the very helpful staff before you arrive to the most thorough (interesting and useful too) brief on a city I've ever had and then the ridiculously delicious food produced for you. Each guest gets a mobile phone to use (a new one on me) and access to snacks and drinks throughout the day. Prices are very reasonable and you can have a normal room all the way up to a studio depending on your budget/fancy. Save yourself a search and just picked this place, I certainly will when I return to Lisbon.
