We arrived early from our flight to a warm welcome! We were taken to our suite and we were very pleased with the room. We had a front facing deluxe room, with a small balcony. A bottle of champers was ready and waiting for me and my wife to toast our Lisbon break, with delicious pastry on the house. Everything was thought of in the room- smart tv, luxurious bathroom, coffee machine etc etc The decor and linen was first class and all that you would expect from a 5 star boutique hotel! They provided coffee and water etc in the lobby, with local pastries complimentary to enjoy. They include a lot of little extras, which is refreshing to experience - all very thoughtful. There is a delightful bar and restaurant as-well on the ground floor. The hotel is in an ideal position , with a short walk to all the delights Lisbon has to offer.

Fantastic location, near the metro. Hotel is lovely, not too big, very personable staff. Excellent Wi-fi & facilities. What makes the hotel is the little extras. Portuguese tarts in your room on arrival, welcome note, small souvenirs. They restock your mini bar each day bar with free soft drinks & a beer. Breakfast is till 11am, so we went for a morning walk and then took brunch. Wide selection, buffet style. I had fruit, yogurt and scramble eggs withs smoked salmon each morning. Rooms are good size, big beds, comfortable, large TV, little fridge and a coffee maker. Bathroom was large, double sink and a walk-in shower. We had room 111. Hotel felt very safe and so was the area it was in. The bar was cosey, good value and had entertainment on the Friday night we was there. Loads of restaurants nearby. Short walk to many of the Lisbon attractions and shopping area This is a 4 stat hotel offer 5-star service We will be back.

The Hotel Da Baixa is located downtown. Close to the shopping streets. Walking distance from Alfama and Bairro Alto. Very nice hotel, beautiful rooms and very clean. Personnel is very friendly and helpful. We booked the smallest room but got an upgrade which was very much appreciated.

We stayed at the beginning of our trip and enjoyed it so much we returned to stay again at the end. The front desk staff (especially Melanie and Martha) provided 5 star service, exceeding our expectations and making sure our stay was enjoyable. Breakfast buffet was delicious with a ton of variety and the morning restaurant staff were courteous and kind. The rooms are exceptionally clean, the beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are spacious with great water pressure. We switched rooms at one point (thanks again to Melanie for arranging it while we toured the city) and my wife left an AirPod behind. The housekeeping staff found it, set it aside and labeled it so the front desk staff could easily locate it later - which made our return flight much more enjoyable. It’s centrally located near a metro station and the train station, easy walking distance to tons of sights and restaurants. Cabs are easy to find at Praça de Figueira and the airport transfer service the hotel offers is quick and convenient. End to end, just a great experience. Highly recommend.

This property is beautiful! Rooms are spacious and clean and very comfy! Everything is updated and gorgeous! Central location. Safe to walk around at night and enjoy the many restaurants, bars and street performers. The staff is above and beyond and I hope this hotel recognizes their efforts in helping their guests! Leonor and Melanie actually met us at a nearby town square when we couldn’t navigate the city, driving ourselves. They helped us with our luggage and parked the car for us!! Truly amazing and kind. Saved the trip from a very rough start! Many thanks!!! (Outside Lisbon, renting a car was ideal for trip to the Algarve). Can’t wait to go back!!!

I highly recommend this hotel! The hotel is in the best location, and the rooms are reasonably priced, nice, clean and they provide water and coffee in the room. The first day the hotel welcomed us with a tasty treat and Lisbon coaster! The staff really go above and beyond and made us feel at special, including Marta recommending and booking a table at a great restaurant, Eleanore helping with directions and answering the questions we had. They also provided chocolates and wished us a happy Easter on the holiday. You will love this hotel and Lisbon.

Let’s start with one word: spectacular. Hotel da Baixa was nothing short of perfect in all ways. Ten stars if that were possible. While travel reviews often focus on inanimate objects – beds, rooms, food – we often forget that travel is ultimately about the people you meet and how you are treated. And you will not find better people in the hospitality business than those at Hotel da Baixa, where the accommodations are equally exceptional. To put this into context: our Lisbon experience started poorly at the airport when we (reasonably seasoned travelers) allowed ourselves to be taken advantage of by a very friendly, yet deceitful, illegal taxi driver, who gouged us for our trip to the hotel by an embarrassingly large amount. (Beware: Don’t accept rides from anyone approaching you in the airport and tells you they are a legitimate taxi service. If a “taxi “doesn’t have a meter, don’t take it. And don’t believe that Ubers are illegal from the airport, as we were told and is true in some countries.) Of course, we realized this too late and had only ourselves to blame for dropping our guard. When we shared our story with the reception desk staff at the Hotel da Baixa, they were genuinely aghast at our experience. Fabio, who checked us in, immediately apologized and offered us complimentary breakfasts and a dinner during our stay. When I said that was unnecessary because it was our fault we got ripped off, he said without hesitation: “But this is our country, And we are sorry this happened to you.” In an instant, the entire tenor of our trip changed. Throughout our enjoyable five-day visit to Lisbon, we were continually impressed by the consistency and quality of all aspects of Hotel da Baixa. Everything about this hotel was terrific: location, the phenomenal breakfasts, the classy yet understated atmosphere, and the friendly and attentive staff – from housekeepers to waiters to front desk. (Special thanks to Luis, who was helpful in many ways, including providing travel advice and offering to arrange our train tickets to Porto.) Finally, all those inanimate objects and intangibles that are indeed important to travel were flawless in their own rights – ambience, a comfortable bed, quiet and modern room, ample closet space, complimentary bottled water, in-room Nespresso coffee maker, safe, etc. And the hotel even offers a shuttle service to and from the airport. LOL. Simply put: We appreciated everything about Hotel da Baixa and recommend it without reservation.

Our 5 night stay in Lisbon was wonderful thanks to the amazing hospitality and knowledge of the staff at Hotel Da Baixa. Ideal location in the heart of Lisbon…close to everything you will want to see and do. Well appointed rooms with everything you need…comfortable beds, luxurious modern marble bath, plenty of natural light through the extra tall windows, hairdryer, hair straightener, mini fridge, safe, plenty of easy to reach outlets to charge your devices. This family owned hotel has a warm and generous staff eager to help and to give you touring suggestions to experience the best that Lisbon has to offer. Luis, the rooms manager, is top notch and makes sure all the operations at the hotel run smoothly.
