    Hi can you tell me how far away from town/restaurants/bars the hotel is, we are travelling with our adult children who will want some nightlife within easy reach of the hotel, we also don't like to only eat in the hotel restaurant. Many thanks
    It is 7 Km. Easy cab but the hotel gives you bikes. We watched movies there in the beach and then enjoyed dinner and drinks on an amazing roof top bar!

Hotel Fortaleza do Guincho is located just in front of the beach where you can swim, but for the ones who do not fell very confident in the ocean, 15 minutes way you can find a beach where the ocean is really calm.     Is there a fitness facility at the Fortaleza do Guincho? We are looking to book a stay in October?
    Dear Alberta, I am really sorry for my late answer, but I did not realise that we did not answer to your question. I am afraid the Hotel is built is a fortress from the XVII century without space to have a fitness centre, but we are located just in front of the beach in a very quite area where you can go out and run; beside we do have a special agreement with a club close by us where they have a fitness centre.     Hello very welcoming Fortaleza do Guincho staff and all prior guests, We booked 4 nights from April 26 to April 30 and are planning to go to Sintra and twice to Lisbon. Here are my questions: 1. Would it be possible to arrange a taxi to go to Sintra and pick us up on the way back? How much would it cost? We will have a car, but do not want to fight traffic and search for parking in Sintra. 2. Can we drive to the train station (which one?), safely park there and take a train to Lisbon? We do not mind paying for parking. 3. How easy is the road leading to the hotel? Is it very curvy? Thank you so much for your help!
    Greetings from Hotel Fortaleza do Guincho, What a great news to know that you are staying with us. Further to your query we are pleased to come back to you. 1 ) Sintra To go to Sintra it shouldn't take more then 20 minutes driving. We can arrange you a private English speaking driver to take you to Sintra and to bring you back to the Hotel and that should cost 90.00 euros, or we can call a regular taxi to the Hotel to take you to Sintra and that should cost around 40.00 euros ( one way ), to come back to the Hotel you can find a taxi in Sintra normally it is really easy. 2 ) To drive to Lisbon the best way is to take the train in Cascais ( the trip should take around 20 to 25 minutes ); and from our property to the train station in Cascais is less than 5 minutes driving along the cost in a nice and easy road. There is a parking place next to the train station. 3 ) It depend from where are you coming, but coming from the highway it is really easy, even if you take the panoramic road along the cost coming from Lisbon. However if you have any problems to find us, please call us and we will be more than happy to help you. Should you need any extra information please don't hesitate to come back to us.
