Stylish and friendly

This relatively new small hotel deserves its boutique label. The rooms and public areas are stylish, and the friendly young staff are excellent. Do go up to the roof terrace: the view is excellent. Probably the best choice in Coimbra.

There is parking close to the hotel albeit limited. The area has adequate parking. No worries.

I booked our room through Expedia although I prefer to book directly with the hotel. But the hotel website did not seem to offer me the option of paying more and not pre-paying for the room, and it did not offer a rate with breakfast. Have others booked through a third-party site?

We booked our room through Booking. The owner stated his website was not yet setup to accept reservations. The continental breakfast is included with your room rate.

I noticed that the junior suite appears to be more expensive than the loft in spite of a smaller size. Has anyone that has stayed or someone familiar with the property explain why that might be? I've been trying to decide on what room type to book and admit I've had some trouble deciding. Seems the major differences would be the stairs in the lofts with access to the patio. Meanwhile some of the junior suites have a private terrace but are smaller? If anyone can provide more details on the rooms it would be appreciated.

The junior suite is at road level and the entry walkway outside it. I’m sitting in it trying to ignore all the cars and people walking past my bed at time of writing. You’ll be better off paying this money elsewhere with a view of something other than the car you drove up in.
