The Kimpton was the perfect choice for us while visiting Amsterdam. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating, the room was a nice size and beds super comfy. You are right in the heart of city center - an easy walk to almost everything or & close to the train station. There is a great restaurant in the hotel and a fun club for drinks before or after dinner! We would totally stay there again - easy to get a cab as well.

We have just got home from a 4 day break at the Kimpton De Witt.
It’s a lovely smart, modern, well decorated, clean hotel. The staff that greet you are pleasant, helpful and always smiling.
When we arrived we were offered towels as it was raining which was lovely. The concierge was able to look after our bags until our room was ready and the staff took our number to call us when it was ready. There were umbrellas available to us in the lobby. The lobby area is nice and welcoming with soft furnishings and lovely decor. The lounge area is lovely too with a fire, sofas and chairs and lovely chilled water for guests.
The rooms were to a high standard, again decorated nicely. The bedding was lovely and soft. In the room there were lots of amenities including a wireless speaker, tv, kettle, coffee machine and pods, ironing, ironing board, hangers, hairdryer, wine glasses, tumblers, umbrella, safe, fridge, dressing gowns and even a yoga mat !
In the bathroom there is also shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body moisturiser, vanity kit and tissues, so it’s very well stocked which is lovely.
We were very fortunate and a late check out was available for us too. The staff always try to be as helpful as possible.
The location is brilliant as we travelled in from the airport via train into central station which is a 5 minute walk. So you can arrive in the city, drop your bags off and start your holiday straight away.
I would really recommend a stay here for its location, price, service and ambience.

Only a short walk from Central Station, this stylish hotel was very welcoming & staff very friendly.
The decor is stylish & modern, even has quirky animal shape door knockers on your room door. The room are spacious & comfy. There is a Nespresso machine, kettle, fridge, large flat screen TV. A welcome tray with coffer pods, tea, sugar etc is provided. The beds - queen size has lovely crisp sheets & comfy duvet, even if the bed was a little soft for our liking.
The bathroom has lively toiletries & offer that if you have forgotten any toiletries etc just contact reception. Towels are soft & large.
We were given a room choice & opted for the top floor - floor 6. Am glad we did as the tram noise from the street could still be heard but not enough to keep you awake.
Hotel is an excellent location for all sights, most within a short stroll or longer leisurely walk, else take the tram which runs just outside.
Would recommend this hotel.

We stayed at Kimpton De Witt for 3 nights in February and our overall experience was very positive. The hotel is located 5-10 minutes away from Amsterdam Centraal so it’s very easy to get to if you’re arriving from Schiphol or by Eurostar. The main attractions in Amsterdam are all within walking distance for the most part but the tram is another option for exploring the city too. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and a large supermarket just a few minutes away.
The hotel felt very clean (both the guest rooms and public areas) and it looked like it had been renovated quite recently. The rooms are very well equipped and include things like umbrellas which are very useful if you’re visiting in February! The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was well stocked with shower gel, soap, etc. There was a note in the bathroom which said that they are able to supply things like toothbrushes, shavers and all sorts of other things if you have forgotten them. They even supplied flannels which I was very grateful for - I can’t remember the last time I stayed at a hotel which provided these.
There is an on-site restaurant although this is currently being renovated so we were not able to eat there during our stay unfortunately. They do have a separate bar area which serves food too though and this was very good. There is also the option for 24 hour room service but this is not something we tried during our stay.
The staff were very good but it was the reception staff who stood out as being particularly helpful and welcoming.
If you’re looking for a hotel in central Amsterdam then I would highly recommend Kimpton De Witt. The hotel has all of the things you would expect for a very good quality hotel with a number of extra little things added in which make your stay relaxing, enjoyable and memorable.

Stay Report - 1/24 - 1/26
Location: Absolutely ideal. Under half a mile from Centraal Station which also has a subway station, two blocks from a station on the 2/11/12/13/17 lines, an easy walk to the Red Light District, to the Jordaan Neighborhood, really close to a bunch of places to eat and drink or shop at. I couldn't have asked for a better located hotel
Hotel: Their website claims 274 rooms though I find this number high. The hotel is 5 stories with an expansive lobby that has a coffee bar, bar bar and two restaurants. The lobby is just finishing being renovated. There were never any waits for elevators and the elevators are key card access only which is good. It's hard to believe this hotel was a CP, there is art in all of the hallways and just walking around is pleasant.
Check In: I arrived at 2:15 PM and was able to get right into my room. The friendly agent thanked me for being Spire, explained I'd been upgraded to a King Deluxe and offered points or a beverage
Room: Very nice. A large and comfortable actual king (not two twins pushed together), chair, large television and a full sized closet. The bathroom was a little on the small side but the shower is great. There was some noise from the trams that run outside frequently but I actually like that sound. However if you're sensitive it can be an issue.
Overall a really nice stay, I'd gladly be back.

Excellent location, less than a 5 min. walk to or from Amsterdam Central Station. We were a family of four with 12 year-old twins and stayed in deluxe room 539 on the top floor, which was very confortable and quiet, keeping out all possible noise coming from the corridor, elevators or even the busy main street outside, trams included.
Breakfast was quite good, with lots of options, even though a good part of the offer being available ‘on demand’ taken by the waiters, thus outside the buffet – maybe derived from the pandemic situation. The hotel offers free bycicle use to its guests, on a daily ‘first-come, first-served basis’. For this stay, we were granted all the special requests we had asked for during the reservation process and the hotel ended up solving in a very professional and satisfactory way an incident occurred on the last day, which could otherwise had left a negative note on the whole stay. The only less positive note to mention has to do with a somewhat ‘turbulent’ reception area – sometimes too busy for the number of hotel staff available –, leading to longer waiting times than it could be expected otherwise.
All in all, a very reliable and recommendable hotel, right in the heart of central Amsterdam.

On arrival to the hotel we were checked in by a lovely smiley women at reception who had dreadlocks. Her service was professional and friendly!
The hotel itself was GORGEOUS! Stylish yet cosy.
The bar was fabulous and the staff were very passionate about their cocktails and wines!
The room itself was spotlessly clean & the had the best bed I’ve ever slept in! The sheets felt like Egyptian cotton (the real deal) and were changed every day which was a luxury.
The hotel truly felt like home to my boyfriend and I.
Thank you Kimptondewitt for your great hospitality and lovely touches to the hotel which made our stay great.

It is about 2 months ago that I stayed here but forgot to write a review, while this hotel definitely deserves one!
It was my first stay at a Kimpton, and it could not have been better!
From start to end the staff was super attentive, friendly and hospitable. We got a smooth check-in with Indira and she directly made us feel welcome by informing to join the wine hour and take our time!
They organised connecting rooms for us and they were very comfortable and perfect in size for us (traveling with 3 adults).
In that time, restaurants were still opened. Celia serves delicious food in a warm environment and it was great place to catch up.
I hope to come back!

Lovely staff on reception, funky bar again with great staff, knowledgeable and helpful.
Rooms are functional; the bathroom had only a shower and was small. The room was an ok size but looked literally 6 feet away in to someone else’s home... so pointless having a window really... curtains drawn. I’d expect far more for the €200 per night we paid (and as Platinum members of the IHG scheme).
Breakfast was the worst thing... poor selection, disgraceful rubberised scrambled eggs albeit you could as the (one) chef to make fresh eggs but then why leave rubber eggs out? Very disappointed in breakfast which is so easy to get right. We’d prepurchased it online before otherwise I’d recommend going down a few steps to one of the lovely local cafes.
We know Amsterdam we’ll and agree decent location close to station and the central area.

Loved this hotel! We used Delta Vacations to bundle the airfare and hotel since April is peak tulip season, so we saved a bit on the hotel room, which was about $500 per night. The location is about a four-minute walk from Central Station, so very easy to get to from the airport, and is located right on the tram line, which was very easy to navigate. We liked that most places we wanted to go for food and drinks was less than a 10-minute walk, and we could quickly get out of the more touristy area when we wanted. The room was on the smaller side but very comfortable. Despite being in a busy area, the only sounds we could hear was the elevator dinging from time to time. The hotel gym was nicely equipped and the coffee shop was great in the morning. Every afternoon from 4 to 5 there was a complimentary happy hour with wine, beer, and snacks. Not that this is essential for a hotel, but they provided warm, fluffy robes and bedroom slippers, a nice perk!

Yes. Aquarette Selfservice Laundry which is 4 minutes walk away from the hotel.
I’m Positive the answer is yes. The staff on the concierge desk are incredibly helpful. Just ask. Hope you have a great time
Sorry, I don’t understand Spanish
Not that we noticed. You would need to refill the bottle in the sink in your room. They did provide complimentary bottled water upon check-in.
I don't know if they have connecting rooms. I would contact the hotel directly.
