Stayed for two nights for the Lausanne Diamond League. Hotel is a fair walk from the train station (c. 20 minute walk) and pedestrianised city centre, but there is a frequent bus service from almost outside the front door. Stay includes free public transport ticket for duration of stay. Staff were welcoming and friendly, and kindly held luggage following an early morning arrival. Room is a standard Ibis, only downside is lack of plugs (and none near bed). Breakfast well organised given COVID restrictions and good enough range. Would happily recommend.

This was our first stay at a Ibis hotel after the end of the lockdown, and the reception was very good, and felt it was almost as good as before, so we're looking forward to coming back! The redeeming of our welcome drink voucher was not possible at the time we went to the front desk (21:00) as the attendant was nowhere to be found.... No problem, we just picked two bottles of water from the fridge. We told reception the next morning, and all was good.

Booked the Ibis Lausanne centre for a weekend break Friday to Sunday and we had a really good time, thank you! Knowing the Euro2020 Suisse vs Spain match was on, I asked for a quiet room. We were on the 3rd floor at the back. No view to speak of, but nice and quiet. Aircon was quiet too. A result. Rooms are super clean and classic Ibis style. Ours had a large and very comfy double bed, plus an armchair sofa bed for our son (8yrs) and it worked perfectly for us. Breakfast was OK - maybe the quality of some of the products could be worked on, but good quantities of everything and good coffee machine. Car parking - there are 32 spaces and 100+ rooms. Plus there are cars in there from the Mini dealership in the same building, so it really is hit and miss as to whether you get a space. I'd advise having a plan B ready of you're going by car. Maybe staff could suggest alternatives so you're prepared? Staff all really nice, warm welcome and efficient. Made good use of our Lausanne Transport Cards to whizz around town on the Metro (nearest station Riponne by the Cathedral) to Bellerive Plage (fabulous even in the rain lol!). We explored Flon, Parc de la Legende (delightful bronzes sculptures that tell a story) and Parc Montbenon too. LTC gave us discount entry (free for under 15) at the Olympic Museum which was great. Ah such a good weekend and I can't believe it's a week ago already! As we left, we all said we wanted to come back, so hopefully we will!

Hotel is at the city center . Rooms were okay they should provide more towels for the bathroom. Breakfast was not nicely served you have to que like school children to get served with stuff who are already slow . I give 5* for the location

The Ibis in Lausanne is like any other Ibis and is very well run. It’s in the centre of the city and only minutes from all the main attractions and restaurants/bars. My room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The room looked like any other Ibis room, but it was perfect for a night. Breakfast was very good and because of Covid the buffet was actually put together for you. The wonderful staff put a tray together with whatever you wanted. There was a good selection of hot and cold food and it was very tasty. It was actually one of the best breakfasts I’ve had at an Ibis and I’ve stayed at many around the world. The staff are all amazing and the hotel is a great choice if you’re on a budget or if you just want to stay in a hotel that provides the basics, but deliver their services with excellence!
