It was a very good stay. We flew in early and needed to check in early. That was arranged in advance for a reasonable fee. The hotel is located just ten minutes' easy walk from the train station. Our rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. One of the rooms faced the street so it was a little bit noisy when the windows were opened. The second room faced the internal yard so there were no problems there. Beds were fine, pillow comfortable but it was too hot under winter blankets. We asked about summer blankets but were told they are not available. There were no bathrobes and slippers in the room, but those were provided after we requested them. One of the bathrooms was clean but tiny, so it is not suitable for an overweight person. Another one was clean and spacious. It was very nice having a coffee maker in the room with the generous number of capsules. The mini bar (not alcoholic) was free with water provided every day. On days when we refuse room cleaning service, we were given a free drink voucher. Nice touch. Apples and water with lime were always available in the lobby. We had breakfast once and decided it was not worth the money paid. Reception desk staff was very attentive and pleasant to deal with. Please be aware that this hotel occupies an old building therefore rooms in the same category may look different. I would not recommend an older person getting a room with a bathtub - it has high surround. One more minor but essential lapse should be mentioned. While making the reservation on the hotel website do not expect to get an e-mail confirmation so you must write down the reservation number to check its status. None of my e-mails to the hotel e-mail address were answered. Maybe the problem was on my end (got filtered by the internet provider). So, you have to call the hotel with any questions. Overall, I like this establishment and can recommend it.

Amazing hotel! Very clean and cute! The decor is very modern which attributes to the clean feeling. I often wear socks at hotels because the floors never quite feel clean enough, but I was very comfortable in this hotel as the floors felt very clean! We upgraded to a queen size room when we arrived for 50CHF (the double room is actually a twin bed, we didn’t realize). The bed was very comfortable! Mini-fridge items & coffee machine were included. Very popular Spanish restaurant in Lucerne was located in the Lobby. The location was perfect as it was a short and easy walk with large luggages to the train station and only a 10 minute walk into old town. The area by the hotel had some great restaurants and coffee shops. Everything is walking distance from here, it is definitely a much better option than paying double the price to stay in old town that may be difficult to navigate luggages on those streets. This was Absolutely amazing for the price! We wished we could’ve spent our entire Switzerland trip at this hotel because we were truly comfortable in it. This is definitely 4/4.5 star hotel, we highly recommend it.

The Cascada Boutique Hotel Lucerne Switzerland ideally located truly 12 minutes walk from Lucerne's main railway station with one crosswalk to negotiate. Friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient and friendly reception staff provide a welcome to a modern and comfortable boutique hotel. The complimentary water and soft drink mini bar was a real bonus. The CASCADA Boutique Hotel is centrally located. Many highlights can be reached on foot. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and well maintained. There is a hotel parking lot (some with charging stations for electric vehicles) and there are spaces in the parking garage opposite. The guest is offered a guest card (free travel by bus within Lucerne), attention in the room at reception, non-alcoholic drinks are offered free of charge in the minibar, and if daily room cleaning is not required (environmental!!) there is a drinks voucher. The extensive breakfast buffet is absolutely TOP and special requests can be ordered from the friendly staff. The free WiFi works perfectly throughout the entire house. The beds are a pleasant size and the mattresses are neither too soft nor too hard (for me). The bathroom is sufficient in size. Possibly an additional shelf would be great. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with the house and will definitely book at the CASCADA Boutique Hotel again.

My husband and I spent a great 2 nights at this hotel in Lucerne. The location was very convenient, less than 10 min walk to the train/bus stop with other shops and restaurants nearby. It was also very convenient that the hotel had a restaurant, Bolero, that we ate at on our last night which I’d highly recommend. We were given a 20% coupon for diner that was a great incentive.
The room was very comfortable with a nice sized bed, a balcony with a view of the mountains, and a shower with hot water and good water pressure. There was also a mini fridge stocked with water and soft drinks that were free of charge.
The only downside was that the air conditioner had a very loud noise every few hours that woke us up a few times the first night. Unfortunately they weren’t able to fix it, but the concierge (Elena) was very helpful in finding us alternate solutions and comping us 2 free drinks.
Other than that, had a great stay and got to explore the town of Lucerne as well as did the golden round trip to mt Pilatus with this hotel as our base.

This was our first trip to Switzerland and loved the city of Lucerne—definitely a must-see destination! We stayed all 3 nights at Cascada Boutique hotel, which turned out to be an excellent choice including a fabulous Spanish restaurant. It was a great location in the area of “New town”, within walking distance from the train station. The hotel staff was always cheerful and welcoming! It was also very nice that everyone spoke English, so we had no difficulty communicating. Our room was cozy and very pretty, with life sized pictures of waterfalls that light up to add height and ambience to the room. The beds were so comfortable, we slept very well. They included complimentary drinks in the mini fridge that housekeeping replaces daily. A wonderful variety of restaurants, cafés, bars, the lake, town landmarks, Old Town and parks are ALL within walking distance of the hotel. We walked everywhere our entire stay! The swinging chairs outside of the hotel entrance are so cute and add character.

This hotel is EXTREMELY overpriced for what you get. The hotel is not in the old city and has absolutely no view at all (no mountains or water). They make it sound like the mini bar is something special but it is only coke, water. and tea which most 3 star hotels in Switzerland offer. We requested a walk in shower for my 79 year old mother. We requested this when we booked 7-8 months ago. About a week ago I received a phone call and an email that we could be upgraded to a room with a walk in shower for another 100 CHF a night. We are already paying 657 CHF a night for the room. and they literally wanted 100 CHF more calling it an "upgrade". We don't care about a bigger room, we wanted my mom to be able to take an actual shower! We were able to book two rooms in Zurich with views of the old city and a free mini bar for much less than the cost here. We also rented an Airbnb with two bedrooms. kitchen. washer and dryer, large balcony. with views of the waterfall in Lauterbrunnen for 4 nights for less than the cost of this hotel. The room is nice size and the beds are nice. Very disappointed, as we thought for the price this would be the best hotel with at least some type of view. The picture is what 657 CHF gets you at the hotel. a parking lot!

We were only in Lucerne for one night but we LOVED this hotel. We arrived very early by train (around 9 in the morning) and while we were just planning on dropping bags off, they were able to accommodate us and get us checked into a room. We stayed on the top floor, where they had warned us about the roof having a slope but we found that this did not impact our experience at all (the roof was still quite high) and we had a skylight, which was very nice! The rooms were large and clean, and the mini bar items were complimentary! We also found the location to be extremely convenient - less than a 10 minute walk from the train station, and very easy to walk and explore various places within the town.
