The hotel has lovely facilities - really a grand hotel - the enormous room was excellent and getting to know the City of Perugia was, for us, a new pleasure. Very cool swimming pool and wellness in the ancient vaults under the hotel.
Great location and view. Everyone was really nice and helpful. The buffet breakfast was yummy too. The only thing I think they need to do is to update the rooms, but I think they are in the process of doing that.
The staff were very nice, but not enough of them, which is kind of understandable as it was February, but the hotel should have been renovated 20 years ago. I stayed in the top category of room; the Royal suite, I was shown both Royal Suite's for me to choose from (€115 upgrade as the junior suite was fairly small), and one was musty smelling the other the layout was peculiar, no coffee machine, no complemamty water, one 500ml still water in the mini bar €5.00 and all fittings nd the bathrooms are from the 1970's, not antique fittings, just old. I doubt I'll stay in a sina hotel again if this is what they think 5 stars are.
Absolutely wonderful stay. Best location in town, stunning views even in Winter, large comfortable rooms and hotel, staff a joy! The underground pool is a highlight, especially with kids in town. Don't hesitate.
Amazing location, history, service, breakfast, and very comfortable room - what else can you ask for ... The stay at Sina Brufani was the cream on top of a fantastic visit to beautiful Perugia. And it is on top of this 500-year-old Rocca Paolina fortress that you can go through at any time, open for the public and with escalators to save you from an exhausting climb.
Location is superb, of course, but it is the staff that makes the stay extra worthwhile. Just top notch in all reasserts: helpful, knowledgeable, warm & Uber-competent. (Breakfast is very nice too, although the coffee could be a bit stronger. They may be afraid to serve true Italian coffee to their traveling guests.)
Room was very nice, beautiful view. Enjoyed the aperativo in the bar enclosure outside. The location is close to restaurants, shops and main attractions. Surprised with the five star rating, would rate as a four.
In general, I love Italian hotels, especially historic hotels that take you back to another place and time. The Brufani in Perugia was a delight, from the kindness and humanity of the employees, the view of the city from my room, the spotlessly clean spaces, and most of all the underground spa and jetted tub in my room for the ultimate in relaxation. The off season rates are reasonable , making it a must visit for a rejuvenating spa weekend. My only suggestion would be to provide an eating/ drinking spot a bit more affordable and accessible for those of us who would enjoy that. The dining rooms and bar were quite empty, while the Tavern down the street was bumping with delicious and moderately priced food and drink and guests from the Brufani. Upgrade to a room with a view. There are also a variety of indoor and outdoor relaxing spaces, no need to feel as though you have no where to go while the cleaners are in your room! Great breakfast , lots of choices.…
The hotel locates in one of the highest points of the city with wonderful view. It's also in the heart of the old city. The breakfast was great. Rooms are large, clean and well equipped. I had a problem in my room in the middle of the night and they immediately replace (and upgraded my room), I asked to delay a little bit my checkout and again, the people in the reception were kind and allow it with no additional cost. The swimming pools is also something very unique. Overall, highly recommended.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sina Brufani One suggestion: You need to remove the hot tub showers. My wife and I are in good health but still had trouble stepping in and out. You need to replace with stall showers
