We were originally booked to stay at the sister hotel Mulino Di Firenze but due to COVID and lack of guests (I’m guessing), the hotel was unfortunately closed. We were relocated to Plaza Lucchesi Hotel and kindly given the room with a view over the river that I had booked at Mulino di Firenze. What I didn’t appreciate at the time was that we were given one of only 3 rooms with a balcony. The hotel is beautiful, large rooms, a grand staircase and a rooftop (with a pool & bar) that awards stunning views of the city. The staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful. The restaurant served delicious food for breakfast and dinner. You couldn’t ask for a better located hotel. Yes it’s on a road but that didn’t cause enough noise to be a disturbance if windows/doors are closed. The long and short is that I’d stay here again.…
Even if the location seem to be right, nice rooms are on a very noisy street!! And you must know: Beds are so hard, so uncomfortable, that you feel as if you would sleep on the street!! It’s incredible that such thing could be considered as beds😳need some masssges after the night!!
We stayed at this hotel for a week at the end of September and cannot recommend it enough! The balcony view from the room over the river is stunning as is the view from the roof top bar. Breakfast is delicious and the staff looked after us so well. The location is also great with a short 5 minute walk into the central sights in Florence.
We had an unforgettable stay at the hotel when visiting a couple of weeks ago. We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and spent a bit more on an upgraded room on the 4th floor to take advantage of the views. We loved the restaurant for breakfast and took advantage of the hotel bar for a night cap. During our stay we didn’t realise cocktail week was on and had a great time trying the different drinks the barman recommended. Our room was immaculate, so spacious and the balcony was great to look out. The service at the hotel was fantastic from the bar staff who worked on the rooftop pool to the breakfast staff. The reception team were brilliant and so helpful during our stay. We are hoping to visit Florence next year and we will be booking the same hotel.
We stayed here for one night on a Friday. Unfortunately the beautiful roof terrace was closed because of the weather which is why we went to the downstairs bar for a pre dinner drink. We should have checked the menu first(which was not given to us). One Aperol Spritz here costs 15€ and a small beer 10 € We have been to many places but never had seen prices for drinks like that. It is not worth it.
