- Dint like the rooms, very old and looks rubbed down - Wi-Fi wasn’t working almost all the times - location was also ok not very centrally located, however there was a good Mexican restaurant and Indian restaurant close by. - staff was good, however the house keeping staff looked over worked - breakfast was decent, the lady for my son nice pancakes But all in all dint feel it was value for money they charged.

A really nice and charming hotel Even though the hotel and the extraordinary rooms are a bit dated, the rooms are super charming and very clean . The hotel staff is super nice. We had an amazing stay. The breakfast menu was good and the hotel offers parking facilities.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here two nights and it was so wonderful! First off the room was so beautifully unique, and the balcony had an incredible view.. not to mention the whole hotel itself just feels so much like a fairytale. Also another favorite part was the breakfast they prepared, it was really delicious and you can eat it in the garden which was such a way nice start to our day. Highly recommend if you are planning a trip to Florence!

Beautiful, traditional hotel with amazing history, in an excellent location in Florence’s Centro Storico, right along the Arno River. The room was clean and comfortable with a private ensuite bathroom and a balcony providing breathtaking views, including of the Duomo and the hills surrounding Florence. Elevator available for easy luggage transport to your room. An easy walk to Uffizi and other major sights in Firenze. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful.

An excellent, centrally located hotel, within a 10 minute walk from Santa Maria Novella train station, and within a 20 minute walk to all central tourist attractions. Our room had a stunning view of the Arno River. Breakfast was a delicious continental spread included in our price and the staff were friendly and amiable. The hotel had a very authentic, rustic Italian charm - we would definitely return :)

Excellent older hotel. Charming and comfortable. Gorgeous view on the river Arno. Pleasant staff. Parking in the courtyard is a real bonus -- it makes life so much easier in Florence. Perfect location: central but quiet. Overall a great experience.

I cannot believe that I’ve never been to Florence until now, the architecture, ambience and service here was phenomenal and we can’t wait to come back. Drinks on the terrace, breakfast in the most elegant dining room I’ve ever seen and coffee in the garden. Our room was ornate and comfy with heated floors in the bathroom and an elevator (thank goodness because we shopped so much!) 10/10

If you are looking for a charming hotel in the center of Firenze with not only a parking and a garden but also a fabulous location next to Arno River, you shall definitely stay at Hotel de Principe. Stayed at the hotel for a few nights with my partner. The hotel is lovely and staff very friendly however it felt as if it needed some more love and care . The staff have a too relaxed approach which really only equalled to a 3 star service ( if they spoke at all). Garden overgrown and rooms facilities outdated or broken. Although the hotel is querky in its design, it is very pricy and therefore not a lot of value for its guests . The only thing we would return for would be for the breakfast range and cute dog which roams the reception.
