Wonderful location, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful rooftop terrace and comfortable rooms. I loved every aspect of this hotel which is located right at the Ponte Vecchio. The rooms make you feel like you are the house guest of a beloved Great Aunt (less hotel...More
Really liked this place. It's right by the Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi-well located. Staff was very kind and happy to help with questions. Breakfast was great especially the cold cuts. They have a roof top patio. The jasmine was blooming and you have a view to...More
We arrived by train from Florence, the hotel website suggests it’s a 15 minute walk from the station but we say ‘grab a taxi’ we wish we had... after a car free Venice we weren’t ready for Italian drivers in a city built for horses...More
We have stayed here many times over the last 25 years. The breakfast is delicious, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the location is unbeatable. Close to the Uffizi and Pitti Palace. A hidden gem!
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the
Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.

There is no direct bus from the hotel to get to Piazzale Michelangelo. You have to take first the bus D (stop: ponte alle grazie- Direction: Piazza Ferrucci) arriving in Piazza Ferrucci. In piazza Ferrucci then you have to take the bus number 13, direction: Piazzale Michelangelo, arriving directly there.
Coming back, you take the bus n. 13 and you stop at the train station. From there, you can walk to the hotel or take a taxi.
Walking from the hotel to the piazzale takes about 30 minutes.

The hotel has a small elevator but you will have to walk up one flight of stairs from the street to reach it. You will be given a code to use it while you are there. The office is on the fifth floor. There is one more flight of stairs after that to get to the roof terrace which is wonderful for drinks and snacks at night and breakfast in the morning.
