This is quite simply the perfect place to stay in Tuscany. It is set in a private, picturesque spot between Cortona and Montepulciano allowing for easy day/dinner trips into either town. It is also an easy drive to Siena and many other hill towns, each with their own history and charm to explore. The house is historic and beautiful and the surrounding grounds and pool are relaxing in an understated way that make you feel right at home. The rooms are clean and well cared for, and I really appreciate that this B&B is so environmentally conscious. In addition, Simonetta is the perfect hostess with lots of helpful advice and directions. I highly recommend cooking a meal with her - everything will be delicious and you will feel completely spoiled as you enjoy it with a bottle of wine in this idyllic setting.…
This place was everything you would want in a vacation in Tuscany. Beautiful grounds, like out of a movie. Great room, super location, amazing food (and wine ), and wonderful hosts. The cooking class with Simonetta was very fun. The scenic drive she recommended from Cortona to Sienna was spectacular. Simonetta and Guido go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. If you have the guts to rent a car in Italy, you need to stay at this gem.
The ultimate Tuscan experience. If you are looking to truly experience Tuscany come here, the views are amazing the house is extraordinary and the hosts are the most gracious people you’ll meet. My wife and I have spent 3 nights in the stunning villa and it was absolutely incredible- Simonetta will teach you how to cook in true Tuscan fashion (also Vegan/Vegetarian) and will make sure you are fed and taken care of while Guido will teach you everything you need to know about the region, the wine and olive oils, he is a fountain of knowledge. A true hidden gem - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Please pay a visit to Casa Bellavista! Simonetta, Guido and Leya are a warm family living on the most amazing estate of Cortona. They offered the most tasty breakfast, dinner and wines, all with an eye for sustainability. Not to forget the must-do activity: cooking with Simonetta! Not only did we learn to make excellent pizza, ravioli and focaccia: we got to enjoy the lovely food in the breathtaking garden afterwards.
We spent 5 days at Casa Bellavista, it was not just a place to stay but a whole new experience of relaxation in pure nature, with beautiful surroundings and also an opportunity to getting to know Tuscany and the Italian cousin. Simonetta and Guido were amazing hosts, very friendly and attentive. The property lies in the middle of the tuscan hills, has a breathtaking view from every angle and also has a very big swimming pool for cooling down in the summer. We will never forget these days and can recommend 100% to everyone.
