we've booked at the hotel through edreams. economy double room (written explicitly "room sleeps two guests"). the shuttle was set to 13:30 and came at a delay of 15min (13:45). it was also unclear where to wait for it. hotel's reception didn't had city maps nor good advices for tours around the area (besides Etna tour that was possible to book through the hotel). Good recommendation from the receptionist was a great restaurant and a street that had many other restaurants we asked 3 different times for a warm blanket and although reception assured we'll get in in couple minutes- we hadn't got it and gave up there were plenty of biting muskitos at the room. they need to do extermination for bugs. when we booked , it was mentioned that they will have a pool. when we came the pool was closed, no lifeguard or chairs/tables. we set on the floor inbetween swimming. when we booked, it was mentioned that we'll have a view from the room. the view was ugly factory that made a lot of noise at least one of the nights. the hotel was too expensive for the level provided. breakfast was ok room service threw away used shampoo/sope without renewing it, so we used shampoo/sope brought from home (for this kind of emergencies :-) ) after we booked, we noticed that at the conformation mail they've mentioned "1 guest" although it was aforementioned that the room is for 2 guests to sleep! we've called the hotel check this out and they assured us the room was for two. when we checked out, they revised it and said the room was booked for 1 but nkw we need to pay for two. after complaining and proving them they were wrong, they didn't charge more than was agreed. we were assisted by a receptionist to book a ferry to Lipari and asked him to book it at 14:00 at the next day. although he had a lot of good will, he had mistaken by many details (mail adderes, last name...) and the important one was that he booked it at 13:20 instead! we missed the ferry due to it by couple minutes and got luck (after a long discussing and pleeding local ferry workers) not to extra charge us on new tickets, and letting us go to the 14:00 ferry. we probably won't come back

Dear Client, Thank you for your feedback, we are so glad to know that you appreciate your room. Everyday we control that all rooms have soap and shampoo so its uncommun to receive this kind of claims but you could have asked in the reception so we could give you all products you need. As you know in any hotel the items in the mini-bar are not for free. I'am sorry to know that you had difficult parking in our garage but you could asked for our help. Cordially. Guest relations

We booked a day room at the Catania Airport hotel for a sum of $70 euros after corresponding with the hotel via email to enquire about the cost for use of their pool, showers and baggage storage facilities for a few hours before our evening flight. We arrived, checked in and took our bags to our room and changed into or swimming clothes. On speaking to the reception, we were then informed that the pool had closed 10 days ago! We were not told this when we had initially inquired about the facilities (with direct reference to the pool) so I requested a refund... which was denied! I feel completely hood-winked! The hotel was near enough empty so I appreciate they are probably struggling financially, but that is no reason to misinform guests. They did offer to open the pool but we were reluctant to use as it was essentially shut so all the deck chairs were away, the pool bar was closed and the pool was unheated, and there was no one monitoring for safety. In summary, this is a business hotel. Do not book if you are visiting for a holiday or to use the facilities as it is sterile, overpriced and in a poor position for visiting Catania.

We stayed here for one night on the way back from Lipari as we were flying the next day so it’s conveniently close (5 mins by free shuttle bus - which was late when we needed it to be on time). The hotel is presented nicely we a pool, the rooms are large and the whole place smells nice but that’s where it ends. Do not stay here if you want to holiday in Catania. You can’t get anywhere on foot! We arrived late and were hoping for some food but the restaurant had shut so there was no way of getting any food - I found this bizarre considering it’s an airport hotel and surely will have guests arriving at all times, potentially hungry! The receptionist was unhelpful with any recommendations of what we could do but luckily we found a taxi driver who drove us 5 mins down the road to a Trattoria (which did lovely pasta!). The breakfast was TERRIBLE. The bread inedible, scrambled egg was like cardboard and bacon was greasy and undercooked. The coffee tasted awful and the orange juice was just plain weird. They had one man serving all food and drink to the restaurant so there was also a massive cue. Would have made sense to have multiple stations set up, one with fresh fruit, one with cooked food and another for drinks to solve this issue. I repeat. Do not choose this as your holiday hotel. 1 night max is doable.
