The hotel is nice with nice staff. Needs to fix the interior of the rooms (specially bathrooms). A bit unpleasant is the breakfast served by the staff (but very nice and helpful), but I understand that it is necessary thanks to Covid. Generally it is very good hotel!

Stayed here for 3 nights for my birthday after original plans being changed due to Covid. Breakfast was okay would of been nice to have warm toast instead of hard cold toast, the room was large, basic but clean. The carpet in the hallway was old and dirty with stains which I would recommend to be changed. The pool bar menu was limited and overpriced, location is 10 mins from the airport and a further 5–10 mins into central Catania . Hotel located on a busy road, very empty, looks dirty and deserted with nothing around. A Taxi coats 20 euros to get into town which ends up being expensive there and back, a 40 euro around trip. There is a bus possible for 1 euro but it wasn’t very reliable with timing etc . I enjoyed spending time around the pool relaxing , pool area was clean. We arranged an Etna tour though the hotel which was fantastic and would highly recommend. Probably wouldn’t visit again but we did enjoy our stay.

Stayed for just under a week while sightseeing. The hotel is very close and you can when outside hear the rumble of arriving/departing aircraft, but the room was very quiet. The room was large with a balcony, it was very clean and there was enough storage space for clothes etc there were also enough charging points. The bathroom likewise was large and clean, and soap etc is provided. There is onsite parking available if needed. Staff members were uniformly helpful and multilingual. They gave advice on what to do and where to eat etc, they also recommended a separate company for tours which was excellent (see my review under “Etnatribe”). Another plus point is that they do allow late checkout (if requested early) up to 4pm, but you pay €10 per hour you extend it from 12pm to 4pm - this is useful if your flight is in the evening like mine was. Breakfast was good, in the current climate there is no buffet/self serve, but you can ask the staff for what to want and they serve it to you. The breakfast was tasty and there was a reasonable variety of dishes. There is a small gym, and also a swimming pool with an adjoining bar, but I did not use either of these. You have free access to the Lido Arcobaleno on the opposite side of the road (about 7 minutes away on the left, the road is easy to cross): this has a clean beach and sunloungers etc. You have to get a separate pass from reception for each day that you use the Lido. If you do not want to this, directly opposite there is a free section of the beach, there are no sunloungers and the beach is not as well maintained, but it is another available option. My one quibble about the hotel is about its location: though it is close to the beach, due to the current situation many of the surrounding restaurants were closed; even the hotel’s own restaurant had a very limited menu. Thankfully there were still a few eateries open close by and these served excellent food. Overall, this is a good base from which to explore Catania and East Sicily, and also good if you like the beach.

My parents were supposed to go but had to cancel due to covid. They were just informed they would only be refunded 149.00 of the amount they paid. Making cancellation fees 1200.00 not sure why it cost that much. They had to cancel due to the face the country was closed. Head office has been contacted and I hope this works out. Be careful of booking with this hotel in the future because it appears the cancellation policy will cost you more then one night.

Excellent week’s stay here. Room was very clean, reception incredibly helpful and hotel was lovely. Bar is expensive and the hotel is out of the way (from the town, with little around) but easy to get into the town on bus. Beach was great, cheaper food and drinks and well maintained. Plenty of room around the pool. Only had breakfast one day, it was nice but not worth 13 euros each. A great hotel, would definitely return.
