Lovely hotel in a great location. Staff very friendly and helpful . Rooms are great shower is brilliant and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was very good was able to sit outside too. Wished we could have stayed longer. . I don't recognise an of the negative points Only assume they were American. They moan about everything
5 of us checked in from the same organisation- we were told we’d had upgrades. My colleagues all got given nice rooms and mine can only be described as a shoe box. It was the smallest hotel room I’ve ever seen with a double bed pushed into the corner and only one socket that I had to unplug something from to use. It’s only positive was there was a bath. Breakfast was nice - a good selection of cold meats, cheese, pastries, fruit, scrambled eggs etc. Reasonable location. Wouldn’t stay again.
Very puzzled by a few reviews calling the decor tired or not liking the rooms- we thought this hotel was beautiful! The hotel staff were wonderfully helpful and polite, including letting us check in at 9.50am as the room was ready! Beautiful room, comfy bed, perfect location and yet quiet. Highly recommend this hotel.
Very modern comfortable rooms, not a lot of Italian "charm" Staff was friendly. WiFi was good. Nicely furnished. Convenient reasonably priced parking nearby. Only complaint is the staff did not enforce the mask mandate for guest. There were a number of US guests in the lobby & halls not wearing their mask.
I’m not sure how I feel about the Hotel Accademia. The location of the hotel can’t be beat. It’s absolutely perfect-situated within a short walk to Verona’s major attractions. It’s surrounded by shopping and restaurants. There is a sitting area located off of reception and there was a table with a choice of juice or a small glass of sparkling wine offered as a welcome drink. The nicest brief staff interactions were with the bartender and the man who served our breakfast. The rest of my experience was not 5 star. The check in process was efficient but not warm. The valet staff was unfriendly during our entire stay...just an occasional mutter of Buona Sera etc. They did not open doors for us upon coming or going and did not offer to help with bags upon check in. There is an elevator but in order to get to our rooms, we had to take the bags over an additional two flights of stairs. It was not a problem for me but I had to carry my mother’s bags up and down. So, this is something to consider. We booked two superior double rooms. The rooms were very sparse. I certainly felt that the rooms were more of a 3 star experience. The bed and pillows were very firm, the floors were bare with no carpeting, the furniture was dated and mismatched, there was one ugly piece of art on the wall (crooked with a warped frame) and the rest of the walls were drab and bare. All the cups in the room were plastic. My shower head was leaking and sprayed all over when I turned it on. I informed reception at breakfast but 5 hours later if was not fixed. The second time I called, someone came right away and it was fixed in about 15 minutes. Anyone cleaning the room would have noticed a shower head that was not functioning properly. I have stayed in Verona before and I’ve traveled extensively in Italy. You can do better in this magical city.…
