We are delighted to note that you had a pleasant experience during your stay with us.
Thanks for the nice words that give satisfaction to all the staff.
HD is a small hotel conveniently located for walking to several of the best art collections, churches and historic sights in Venice. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast each morning is delicious. They also gave us some restaurant recommendations that turned...More

We checked into this hotel and were immediately delighted by the charm of this boutique venetian hotel. The Hotel is located within a very easy 5 minute walk from the Giglio ferry stop and so getting to the hotel by ferry from Piazzale Roma was...More
We stayed at this charming hotel in Feb for the Carnival, close to the main action but just off from the main the tourist routes, it has a lovely spot right by the canal, very quite and peaceful and catch’s the sun well.
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.

Hi Gina, catch the public ferry from Piazalle Roma to the ferry stop Maria del Goglio. You arrive at a street called Calle Gritt (very narrow lane way). Follow it all the way to the square and then turn left and go over a small canal bridge. You will pass a few shops and then come out into a square. Take the street in the top left of the square (as you are looking at the square) and head down that street - it is Calle Des Dose da Porte. Basically you are heading back down to the Grand Canal. Hotel Dragomani is on this street (on the left side) about 3/4 of the way towards the Grand Canal (the doors have a HD on them). Have a great time.

We pre booked a shared water taxi via Expedia before travelling, this was reasonable and dropped us off right outside hotel dei Dragomanni (almost as its just down the side street but literally about 20 feet away) I hadn't arranged transport back to the airport and was quoted about €110 for a private taxi so decided to book online for a shared water taxi at a much cheaper rate.
