A perfect destination. Warm, friendly staff, comfortable immaculate room, amazing breaking including a huge slab of honeycomb, lots of unexpected extra delights - complementary prosecco, evening buffet. We could have asked for nothing more and were truly delighted.
The hotel is located in the center of Venice, in a quiet area away from the hordes of tourists. One can walk to the popular areas in a few minutes, but will also have easier access to some more authentic and less touristy restaurants.
Stayed here a few times before. This tge forst time with children partners and grandchildren to celebrate a 60th birthday. Rooms all perfect. Our son's family loved their junior suite. Breakfast perfect. Garden great to sit in as a family with prosecco. Staff incredibly thoughtful....More
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture
universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighborhood identity.

Get atvo bus it’s cheap quick, and a 5 to 10 min walk from the bus stop and only one bridge to cross ( not a big bridge) and you are really close to one of the huts where you can buy the water bus tickets (buy a 24 hour one- works out much cheaper and you can hop on and off for 24 hours) 20 euros each I think. You will Love Love the Hotel- it’s amazing x
