I loved this hotel. It wasn't cheap, but the rooms were very comfortable and large.
The location is a plus. Right near the Bridge of Sighs, close to St. Mark's Square and
The Rialto Bridge. A+ for location in my book. We had a high...More
We were well rewarded by reading the reviews! Fabulous boutique hotel in an extremely convenient position with really helpful staff, beautiful bedroom overlooking the canal and great breakfast. We needed a place just for the night so booked this wonderful hotel based only on the reviews. Located conveniently to all the sights, and easy walking distance to everything else. Front desk staff, bar staff, and everyone else we interacted with were very friendly...More
The hotel is charming and in an excellent location that is easily reachable by arriving on public taxi from the airport. We wanted to arrive directly at the hotel so they had arranged a private taxi however due to the Normal tide and size of...More
Stayed for 3 nights. First 2 nights went well. On our last night when we were asleep, we heard someone in the living room. Went to check and found a lady wearing apron in the living room. She let herself into our suite at 10pm...More

The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.

We didn't drive. We caught a water taxi from the cruise ship to the hotel and took one back to the airport. If you are light on luggage you can walk from the water taxi drop off thru the Square to the hotel. Don't pay a guy to take your luggage there from the water taxi area. It's only a 5-8 minute walk. We used an app to walk there. Have fun

The hotel are very helpful if you contact them but we used the water bus Alilaguna from the airport to St marks square and the hotel provided information which gave clear directions from there to the hotel which was only 10 mins away if that. It was much much cheaper than private taxi although probably quite a bit longer but a lovely relaxing way to arrive .Going back we worried in case it was full and we might not be able get to the airport on time but we had no problems. ( We made sure to catch an early boat just in case) You find directions in the airport to the water bus and taxes and can pay for your tickets there at the dock its very easy to use and runs regularly.
