What a lovely hotel we have recently returned from a 3 night stay is the spa room of this hotel and wow it did not disappoint. We arrived by speed boat which cost €190 which we booked when arriving at the airport. Which we later found out is only €140 if booked through the hotel. It dropped us off directly outside the hotel door which was perfect. We was greeted by the receptionist and the booked in the shown to our room by the porter and was shown how to work the spa. The spa room was situated in the 2nd floor which was accessible by the lift or staircase. The room consisted of a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, walk in showers, toilet on the first floor the a walk in shower toilet and bidet on the upper floor along with a poster bed and chaise long. The room also came with a safe, a stocked mini fridge (charges applied for anything you used) a full size hairdryer. The room was cleaned daily and each day they gave you new towels for each amenity (sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and showers ) they also provide you with clean dressing gowns and slippers daily. They had an impressive array of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. Plus also little travel packs with shower cap, cotton buds and pads plus also accessories for the jacuzzi.
We also paid for breakfast which was searched from 7am til 10.30 daily it consisted of an array of cereals, fruit, cold meats, cheese, hot breakfast, toast and a selection of cakes. There was a great selection of cold drinks plus champagne and the tea and coffee was made fresh and brought to your table. Which they asked for your room number and was included in the price.
There was also a fully stocked bar in the lobby which had an array of alcohol. Up in leaving the hotel if you turned right there was a supermarket about 100m up the road which had a great choice of essentials and then the water taxi stop was also about 200m up the road which had regular water taxis 24/7. The stop was called Bastilio and you needed to get the number 2 which took you into Venice, we purchased a 3 day pass which was €45 and you could use it to jump off and on any water taxi throughout the 3 days. We purchased this is cash and they also accepted card from a payment meter at the bastilio stop. Make sure you by a water taxi pass though as we did witness several times people being fined as they did not have them and you are charges €60 in the spot fine.

Thank you to the team at the Palazzo Veneziano for an amazing stay. The hotel, room, facilities, breakfast options and service surpassed all expectations.
The trip was a special occasion for my wife and I, to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. I did a lot of research and read numerous TripAdvisor reviews, which kept leading me back to the Palazzo Veneziano and eventually to booking a honeymoon suite - the jet tub on the mezzanine floor was very spacious and relaxing.
We arrived into Marco Polo airport and booked a water taxi. Whilst you can turn up on the day and get one, you may have to wait and you will pay a little bit extra. The only criticism of the hotel I have is that they quoted €215 for a one way water taxi from the airport to the hotel. I researched and read other reviews and booked using moto scafi venezia who charged €129. No issue with their service, they were waiting and the trip was smooth. I did query with the hotel why the higher quote and they confirmed for their trip you were taken by car from the airport to the water taxi terminal, but it's less than 10 minutes to walk and the majority has a travelator. They would also meet you with a bell boy to carry your cases, but again you're dropped off outside and it's a 1 minute walk to the hotel from the water taxi stop.
On to the many positives....
The location of the hotel is fantastic. Its on the waterfront, at the south of the city offering superb views of Venezian life with a number of decent and affordable restaurants and bars offerings Cicchetti (Cantine del Vino Già Schiavi is within a 5 minute walk).
We arrived on a Thursday and enjoyed the fact it was slightly quieter than the more touristy parts of Venice (Rialto etc). It did get busier on Saturday but that's to be expected. A big positive it that it's so easy to get to any of Venice by either Water bus or on foot - St Mark's square is 20 minutes by google maps, Accademia Bridge 10 mins, Campo Santa Margherita 12-15 mins).
The breakfast options were plentiful and there seemed to be no limitations on how many times you could help yourself. Options included Cereals, Pastries, cold meats and cheeses, cooked breakfasts (scrambled egg, bacon, sausage etc) and even Prosecco! The staff on service were incredibly attentive. A knife was dropped and before we'd sat upright having picked it up from the floor a clean, replacement knife was presented to us. Very slick and professional.
The bed is very comfy, the showers offer a decent pressure and temperature and if you have a jet tub, it was incredibly relaxing. The curtains are such good quality they black out the sunlight very well in the morning, and waking up to the bells of a local church is just lovely.
It truly was a wonderful stay. We will recommend the hotel and the location to all our family and friends. Thank you to the team at the Palazzo Veneziano
p.s. a few hints/tips for your stay in Venice:
1. Don't waste your money or time visiting Harry's Bar. €22 for a poorly made Bellini and €26 for an equally bad Old Fashioned, plus rude staff meant it was a massive disappointment. I should have read the TA reviews which mostly say the same thing. 2. If it's sunny €60-70 for a bottle of wine in St Mark's Square was much better value than Harry's Bar. The live music, the people watching and overall experience just much more incredible. 3. Head down the side canals to find a Gondolier, normally advertising with a cardboard sign. €80 for 35-40 minutes was great value and an even better experience, going around the smaller canals before coming out right next the Rialto Bridge. We found our trip near La Fenice Opera House.

Dear G3092VRjamess, At first thank you very much to have choosen our property to celebrate this very important occasion and to share your experince with us! We would like to clarify that our private services by water taxi from the airport include a meet and greet outside the luggage claim area when you arrive, inside the airport - car transfer to the water gate Darsena where to catch the water taxi and luggage assistance and last but not least wooden luxury boats instead of a simply white standard water taxi. This is our idea of complete private transfer service from the airport :) We're truly glad to read that you fully enjoyed your stay at Palazzo Veneziano and thank you for pointing the beauty of the room, our good locaton, the kindness of the staff and the quality of our breakfast. Reviews like yours are priceless andyour opinion is very important for us, this is the reason why we took a good note about your suggestion and we inform that our aim is to make our guest's experiences unforgettable. Thank you for choosing our structure among many others , to recommend it and we hope to welcome you back again soon. Always at yur full disposal. Best wishes, Omar Anoè Front Desk Agent

A new (7 year old ) hotel which feels luxurious, and nicely appointed without being stuffy. The staff set the tone, always welcoming and helpful, with interactions that felt like they really cared that you had what you needed. This started with the bellman and extended to the front desk, to the staff attending the generous breakfast freshly cooked breakfast buffet, who memorized our coffee orders after the first day, and to the bartenders. The rooms were light filled (with great black out curtains), comfortable mattresses and not too firm pillows. Best was the air conditioning which was effective and essential in hot and humid July days, allowing good sleep in our room. Also excellent was the quiet location with access to delicious restaurants within a 5 to 10 minute walk, to 2 water taxi stops within a 5 minute walk, and to the “center” of shopping (Rialto) and sightseeing ( St Mark’s Basilica) within 15 minutes. Our group of 3 would definitely stay here again should we return to Venice!

We booked this hotel for two nights. It is well located: Away from the hustle and bustle of high season, yet not far from the “main attractions”. Accessibility from Tranchetto car park is very good: Park your car, buy a water taxi ticket, get on line 2, get off at the second station “San Basilio” and after about 100m you have reached the entrance of the hotel. We had a room with balcony and jacuzzi on the balcony. The mattresses are very comfortable. The air conditioning worked perfectly. Bathroom small but with large shower and bidet. Here maybe a few hooks on the door would be handy to hang up the bathrobes. It was all spotlessly clean except for the box and hangers, which had a layer of dust, so you had to wipe everything first. The ashtray on the balcony was not emptied. We assume these things were overlooked. Breakfast was really exceptionally extensive: Buffet with fruit, vegetables, yogurt, cereals, cheese, ham, very good pastries and many different pastries and cookies. Everything fresh! The staff is very friendly, whether at the reception, at the bar or at breakfast. We would always choose this place again and felt very comfortable.

We arrived at Palazzo Veneziano by water taxi from the train station, which dropped us off directly in front of the hotel (a slightly expensive but very fun way to make an entrance).
We booked a Junior Suite Vista Canale (Canal View), which was on the floor immediately above the ground level. This turned out to be a corner room which was indeed on the canal — we never felt a lack of privacy as some reviews we saw had noted. The accommodations were slightly cozy for our small family (of 3). My wife and I took the queen bed and our daughter (11) slept comfortably on a daybed in the corner.
The staff was extremely friendly, and we appreciated the generous selection at the breakfast buffet every morning.
The only two negative things I have to say were that we experienced some issues with mosquitos in our room, and found that noise from workers doing things outside on the canal in the mornings was a little much — we're very used to city noise at night but found that the early morning activity tended to wake us up a little earlier than we would have liked.
Besides that, the location felt great for us; it's outside of the busier areas of Venice which was absolutely fine for our tastes. We're walkers and enjoyed the 15- or 20-minute stroll into the more traffic-y areas. There are still plenty of restaurants in the immediate vicinity, many of which are lined up right along the water.
Overall: Venice feels like an _actual_ dream, and we found this hotel to be a solid choice for people who want a nice stay in a (somewhat) quieter part of town.

We stayed here with our family of 5 during a recent trip to Italy. Venice was the final leg of our trip and we booked a family connecting room that was able to accommodate all 5 of us.
The rooms were comfortable and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice and they had allergens listed and even offered special allergen friendly items for my daughter.
The concierge was very helpful and booked a transfer from the hotel to the airport when we left. It was fantastic that we could pay this transfer fee at the hotel itself and didn't need cash. The concierge also booked dinner for us at a small local restaurant and answered several of my other questions.
The hotel was a bit pricey (though everything in Venice is), but we felt the service and quality offered was worth it. For a splurge, especially if you have a family which needs connecting rooms, we felt this was a fantastic place to stay.

We stayed in Palazzo Veneziano for 5 nights and enjoyed every moment. The staff are fantastically polite and friendly. Our room was ready when we arrived, 2 hours before check-in officially opened, and we were very happy about that.
Our room was one of the ones with a jacuzzi on the balcony, which also provides great views over the rooftops towards St.Marks Square. The room wasn't that big, but we found enough space for our clothes and clobber.
Cleanliness was excellent, including our spacious bathroom, with a great shower large enough for 2 if you like :-) and everything was cleaned to a high standard every day.
An added room bonus is that you can "cast" to the TV in the bedroom meaning that you can chill with your favourite show streamed from your phone if you like.
Breakfast was superb: cooked and cold, sweet and savoury, there was a great selection to choose from and everything was delicious and well presented. The staff at breakfast were lovely.
Front desk staff were also great and provided me a clear description of how to get to Murano and Burano by public transport (actv). My tip: ask the front desk for the same advice, it'll save you a fortune compared to a water-taxi or private tour, and it frees you to spend as much or as little time as you like in each location. Tip #2 Murano is quite dull and boring, and seeing the glass blowing demonstration doesn't make up for the feeling of being held hostage while guided through the glass showroom afterwards. On the other hand, Burano is delightful, we were there for hours!
After some long days exploring Venice, we returned to the hotel for a cold beer (the Pils is nicer than the IPA) and the young lady behind the bar was smiling and friendly and provided good advice on the selection of drinks.
Overall: I highly recommend Palazzo Veneziano, I'd absolutely stay there again. Remember, it's a 15 minute walk to St.Marks from this part of town.

We Spent 3 nights at the Palazzo Veneziano in their Honeymoon Suite. Initially they gave us the room with Red and Gold wall coverings which was too loud for our taste. Upon request they moved us on the next night(when the room became available) to a room with more subtle furnishings. The Good: 1. The location in Dorsoduro is superb. A 2 minute walk from the Zattere bus station, so access to Vaperreto to go towards San Marco Square is great. There is a water taxi point right across the Hotel, and the Academia bridge is a few minutes walk. The location of Dorsoduro is not touristy so you will not find too much crowd in the area. Also housing a university, this area is buzzing with the university crowd. 2. The hotel itself is very clean and a well deserving 4 star. The room was certainly outstanding with the Jacuzzi on a higher floor. The furnishings do have a very Venetian and Royal Feel. The canal facing room opens to a very calm backside area of the hotel facing the canals, so you can just open the windows in the morning and peacefully sip your coffee taking in the Venetian air. 3. The staff at the reception is very friendly and ever ready to help.

Couldn't recommend this hotel more - from the moment we arrived everyone was super helpful and amenities were superb. We visited in February (considered low season) and were kindly upgraded to a Junior Suite - I'm not 100% sure what the difference between Junior Suite and a regular room that we booked was (from pictures it looked almost identical), but had no issues with our room at all. We found room was a little warm but after speaking to reception they have turned the air-conditioning on for us (it must be regulated their end), and they also provided us with extra pillows on request. Breakfast was great, and they even provided bubbles to treat yourself to a mimosa! We also had cocktails at the hotel bar which were delicious & barmen were very friendly. Ahead of our arrival hotel provided us with a very helpful list of recommendations, which we have referred to more than once. We also loved the location of the hotel - it was my second time in Venice (first time I stayed around San Marco square) and I much preferred being a bit out of the tourist area but still close enough to walk everywhere. They are lost of cute bars & restaurants nearby which are full of locals which makes the experience more authentic! Would not hesitate to come back and recommend this hotel to my friends & family.

The hotel is very nice and well situated. The staff is very helpful. And many of the rooms are probably excellent. But if you stay there, don't book the rooms on the first floor with a canal view. We booked room 003. Very expensive. Very disappointing. First, there was no place to sit other than the bed and a small corner thing. Second, the bidet is so close to the wall that anyone over five foot, four can't use it. And third, and most frustrating, because the large windows of the room are so close to the canal and because the room is on street level, all the work boats that come along look right into the room itself. We had guys floating past us no more than eight feet away. Some of the boats were high enough so that the crew could look down on us and even wave. It meant that we had to have the curtains closed when we were in the room or wind up as television for the canal. The ground floor rooms with a canal view are not worth the cost and should be avoided.

Response from Matteo Visonà Dalla Pozza, Altro at Palazzo Veneziano
Responded Oct 31, 2023
Dear Thomas H King Thanks for your feedback and for being our guest. I’m sorry if anything of our service or room features did not match your expectations, really sorry. We try to describe both with text and pictures all our rooms in our website or any place where you can purchase our rooms so to give our customers a clear idea of the room they would like to book. This procedure include also Superior Room with view on the canal that you booked. In our website you can see description and pictures, where you can see rooms on the first or ground floor, included the room you had: 003. For the traffic on the canals: they are our streets, where we move by boat and so the transportation of goods and people work in the same way. Being a room on the ground floor the level of the canal is just a meter lower usually. So I understand your frustration but the room did respected the description. I also know that my colleagues did show you the same room category on the first floor [the one with semicircular windows] but you prefered to stay in 003. I’m again sad that we missed the opportunity to satisfy your desire and I will use your feedback to see if we can improve our standards in some way. I remain at your disposal for any further information. Best Regards Palazzo Veneziano Matteo Visonà
