Hotel was well located barely 10 minutes walk from the rail station and 5 minutes from the main piazza. Hotel staff were excellent especially those serving breakfast. Breakfast was a good spread. Room was disappointing. It was awkwardly shaped and due to faulty window blind there was no natural light.

Large rooms and bathrooms, maybe too large and therefore feel somehow empty and cold. Most likely because average forniture. Similar note on breakfast, somehow essential and sad for very high standards of Udine little cafés. On positive side, location is location and the spot is nice, downtown, but still very quite. You can park if you need, but you will pay. Street view is charming.

Hotel well situated, a short walk from city center. Clean rooms but the decoration is not functional and not very charming. Breakfast is ok, but the choice is however limitated. But the worst are the owners who are very cold and distant, and don’t even say hi and wish you a good day. You don’t feel welcome, never had such a negative human experience in a hotel.

The hotel is in a quite good are of Udine, close to the beautiful squares and restaurants. Typical Italian small town with benefits. I would visit again and if I do I will choose again Allegria. The kitchen is quite good! Good wines.

The entrance on the Main Street is to the bar and restaurant; the hotel’s entrance is down the side street, Via Grazzano. The interior is modern and light and the rooms are of a good size. Toiletries, excluding conditioner, are supplied but there is no tea or coffee. Bottled water is also provided. Breakfast is in a small room opposite the dining room and has something for everyone. Coffee is provided from the bar area and so has to be asked for. The staff are helpful and you Can drink at the bar or eat in the restaurant of an evening. The food is very good, but not the cheapest in town. The main advantage of this hotel is its superb position for getting to the heart of the city and its sites.

Stayed there while attending an academic conference. Hotel was chosen by the conference organisers, and I must complement them on their choice of hotel. It is comfortable, perhaps a little quirky, but what I would call a boutique hotel. Rooms were comfortable with what looked like bespoke fittings - wardrobe, bathroom, bed. Breakfast was good and the restaurant appeared to be busy, although I did not eat there. It was convenient to the railway station and within walking distance of the old city. I would recommend this hotel and will return if I visit Udine again.

Our stay was really good at l'allegria. Rooms are cleaned, quiet and the modern decorations of the crazy architect who renovated them (I know the guy's work and style) make this stay even more pleasant. Staff is nice and helpful. There is also a good restaurant if you want to eat here. Very close to city center and piazza libertà.

First of all, the hotel is in a great location, easily walkable to just about anything. But more importantly, the owners and staff are amazing. After unfortunately hurting my back, they not only facilitated a Dr to come to the hotel, but accommodated me for an extra night even though they were fully booked. The service and kindness were absolutely wonderful.

The hotel is very nice. It is very close to the center of Udine and it has a private covered parking (for additional costs) My room (2nd floor) was big and very comfortable, I didn't hear any noise from the street The bathroom was excellent (I really enjoyed the shower). My room had enough space to store all my luggage and there was enough free space to walk around. I had quite a good internet connection, but the signal was much stronger in the hotel lobby. The breakfast is okay with a good variety of foods and drinks, but the place is quite small. There is a restaurant connected with this hotel and it looked very good, but I didn't try it (I was visiting friends so we went around). If you are going to Udine for work or pleasure I recommend this hotel.
