Had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel, I above all appreciated the kindness of all the personnel, my room was on the second floor of the hotel and the receptionist very kindly carried my suitcase up for me. the cleaning staff were super efficient and did a great job. Everyone made me feel at home. Breakfast was served in a lovely location facing the gardens and pool. The breakfast itself was varied and generous. Hotel is just a short walk from the centre of Udine. Highly recommended.
We stayed one night in this wonderful family run hotel. It’s a stylish blend of modern and classic in a old Villa. The owners are very friendly and create a marvelous breakfast with fresh waffles. The pool in the garden invites for a little swim. Highly recommended.
I spent only one night in this hotel, arriving late in the night and leaving early in the morning. However, I had a very friendly and courteous treatment from the staff (maybe the owner) and I was delighted of their care. The location is very silent and had a very good sleep quality. The room I had was a bit small but very fine for such a short stay. Good choice of Italian style breakfast. The room was clean and functional with nice decoration. The bathroom was fully furnished with shower box (no bathtub). Internet was easy to connect with very simple username and password (only inconvenience that the connection would be lost and had to login again after some time without using it). This hotel offers a very good value for the price and I strongly recommend it.
We booked this hotel as it is near the centre of Udine and looked lovely in the pictures. On arriving the host was far from friendly! He was very abrupt and didn’t want to engage in any conversation with us at all. My husband mentioned it was our 5th wedding anniversary and he ignored him, he was not interested at all. We booked the annex for the Friday night, on the Saturday we were going to Austria for the night then back to the hotel for the Sunday night. The room in the annex was very nice but we have never slept in such an uncomfortable bed! It was like sleeping on a board! We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel as 10 euros each was rather steep! If we could of cancelled Sunday night and booked somewhere else we would of done but we would have lost our money so back we came on Sunday and stayed in the main hotel! The rooms are very dark and dreary and the bed again was so hard and also the pillows were rock hard! So again no sleep. On leaving the hotel the owner was brisk and uninterested in us at all. First time ever in Italy we have experienced this.…
We have been in this lovely hotel for two and a half weeks for a business trip but it felt every day as a holiday journey ... A very charming place Mille Grazie per tutti, ANNA, Aldo e Bud ... Ritorniamo sicuramente ...
This hotel is 10 minute walk to the main square/piazza in Udine. Parking is free in a gravel parking lot at the back of the hotel. This boutique hotel is quite unique. We stayed in the large family room with queen size bed, sofa bed and numerous chairs. It was huge and felt very spacious for the 3 adults staying in the room. Breakfast was not included in our booking and was purchased for 10 euro each. It was satisfactory with hot and cold food available. Staff were absolutely hospitable, friendly and helpful. My only criticism is that you could hear guests in the hallway and other rooms. However we were probably the noisiest in the hotel! Very clean and would stay here again.
A Stop with kids on our way to Croatia and We loved it! +: big room (in annexe), minimalist design (everything hided in big cupboard) swimming pool (not heated), nice breakfast, design-stylish decoration, friendly staff, big beautiful trees, parking, good WiFi - you feel in a little gem. -: a bit remote from old town (15-20’ walk), air co in room could not be stopped hence noisy
The xxxx is an architect designed/inspired (Philippe Starck?) art hotel in the suburbs of Udine. On a positive. the rooms are large, modern and many have a balcony or veranda. Bathrooms are well appointed, with walk-in shower. Tea and Coffee in room as well as free internet and on-site parking. Breakfast is cold meats and cheeses, croissants, coffee and fruits. No, or limited hot options. Breakfast room perhaps has a slightly “jazz café” feel. On a negative, there is no restaurant in the evening, but there is also nowhere to get food in the immediate vacinity. There is a small convenience supermarket ten to fifteen minutes away (walking) and a couple of restaurants that are also a fifteen minute walk. The city centre is a twenty/twenty-five minute walk away from the hotel. Family run, all staff were helpful. English was spoken by day staff, but varied wth some of the night staff. Bar available in the evening, but not well patronised. I stayed here for 12 nights and enjoyed my stay. Possibly better in the summer when small pool and garden available, rather than the winter, nevertheless, I would recommend and would stay here again.…
We booked this hotel last minute on our way home from Croatia, not expecting much. It was such a lovely surprise, the staff is very friendly, the pool area was great and it is in walking distance from the city centre. We ended up extending our stay and enjoyed it very much.
Early "design"-hotel with pool, well appointed with some flaws: Privately owned, this smallish hotel is in walking distance to the centre and would be an oasis, with its green court+pool if the road were a little less noisy. Rooms in the modern annex well appointed, walls+ceiling in ours a very dark blue. Skylight above bathtub. Direct access to court+pool (and neighbour). Good breakfast with excellent teas. Friendly staff. Ashtrays on terrace remained uncleared for whole day. Not enough daybeds around pool. Would benefit from a little more more attention.
