Stayed here for several nights for work. Relatively cheap and close both to the station and city center. The room was cramped and boring but clean and well kept. The people was really friendly! And internet was fast (which definetly is not a given, even in finer hotels)! Breakfast was nice and if you forgot to pack something there is a big supermarket right behind the hotel.
The Hotel San Giorgio is located about 1km from the Udine railway station. The staff are courteous and friendly and provide good service. The rooms are clean and well maintained and are of a good size.
It doesn't look new but the place is very well looked after. And you will be too. Udine was a stopover point for us, but we enjoyed our short stay here. The room we were in has been renovated. The breakfast was very good. There is a big Eurospar supermarket behind the hotel, and a coin laundry right next door. The restaurant diagonally across the road - Al Masaniello - has amazing seafood. The train station is about 800 metres away on the same side of the same road. Relatively convenient.
Vintage Italian! OUTSTANDING service; very personable. Comfortable quarters. Hotel offers inside and outside areas for relaxing. Wonderful breakfast, stable internet. We were pleased with the accomodations.
Stayed at this hotel two nights at the recommendation of a friend, and boy! was she right. The hotel is charming, and so is the staff. The hotel is near the city center and within easy walking distance of many shops, markets, and restaurants. The historic district begins just across the street. There is a nice outdoor cafe in the front with much to view. Our room was facing the front of the hotel and I was concerned about the noise, but this is one of the most quiet hotel rooms I have ever encountered. We just closed the shutters and slept perfectly. There was no interior hallway noise either, and you couldn't hear anything from neighboring rooms. I must also say the room was very clean with extra pillows, a very nice bathroom with good water pressure, and the A/C was awesome! The breakfast was fantastic with a huge variety of choices that would suite anyone. The staff was so nice bringing extra espressos to our table every morning. We were having trouble with our gps and the staff was kind enough to print us some directions to help us get where we were going. Highly recommend!…
A charming hotel in a good location with the most helpful of staff . They had the " pleasure " ? of an English rugby tour and handled it very well . The breakfast was very good and having the car park at rear of hotel was very useful . The WI fi was fine and would be very happy to return . Thoroughly recommended
We stayed on the hotel for a week just this March. it was a really good stay. the room was cozy and well maintained, with a clean bathroom complete with complementary toiletries. we loved the free buffet breakfast on our first days but if you're going to have the same food for a week you might want to look for a restaurant which are just nearby. wifi works just fine. i put emphasis to the friendly, attentive, and hospitable staff. They also know the whole city so you can ask them for directions or even suggestions if you want to go somewhere.
This hotel is a good choice in Udine for a short stay. We highlight the service which is excellent. The rooms are on average with small bathrooms . The breakfast is complete and Wifi works fine. Location is good, at just 10 min from Castle.
At first impression the hotel don´t look so good, but is very clean, good location and the most important is you find friendly people for your staying. The food at the restaurant is amazing. The only negative is the bed, very small.
We stopped here to sleep en route from Venice to Carinthia on a Wednesday night. The hotel was what you would expect for 3 stars - clean and functional but dowdy. Wifi and breakfast were provided free of charge. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately from 10pm - 12am there was a lot of noise in the corridors and adjacent room from rowdy italians. Rooms appeared to be rented by the hour. We got very frustrated and could not possibly sleep with the noise. Eventually we called reception and they were very apologetic and said they would seek a solution. After an hour or so it was quiet. The hotel staff apologized the next morning when we checked out. I would not stay here again due to this unfortunate experience which I suspect is a frequent problem.
