Detailed Reviews
Stopped for a drink here after seeing the local sites.
Very nice welcome. Tastefully fitted out and a tranquil garden to the rear. Lovely water fountain which gives a soothing sound. Good selection of draft beers I did try and a selection of local wines we didn’t try.
Little gem nicely away from the local features that attract numbers. Calm!

Stayed here for two nights last week. We were attending a wedding in a nearby town, with a party in Aquileia. We wished we had chosen Casa Delneri for the entire week.
Reception was warm and friendly, and even arranged a taxi from the station.
Throughout our stay nothing was too much trouble for the great team there, and all were friendly and polite.
The room was elegant, comfortable, clean and stylish.
The wine bar is fantastic with some great local wines recommended.
Breakfast was delicious, and generous. We ate outside in the lovely garden, on a table for 4 with our friends.
The Casa Delneri costs less than our other hotel and was far nicer.
We have already decided we want to stay here again for a vacation, perhaps with cycle hire.
If you are thinking of Aquileia as a destination, do not miss this charming hotel.
I wish all hotels were this good.
Thank you to all the warm, friendly team for a wonderful stay.

I recently (September 2019) went to Aquileia to visit and take in the history. This lovely place was quiet, up to date, with flawless wi-fi, and a totally comforting atmosphere. The room was spacious and the bath and shower were the most spacious I have experienced. It was like staying in a home. A true B&B experience. Clean throughout. With parking and a convenient snack bar, it was a great base for daily excursions.

The experience with this hotel is unfortunately well below expectations. The planned weekend escape way basically destroyed by the staff, who did not accepted, neither wanted to understand late arrival (30 minutes after official hours which were not misleadingly provided on the booking page). This hotel is above mid-range price, so your expectation on the staff shall be also above average. This was complete disappointment.

Response from Gaia D, Proprietario at Casa Delneri
Responded Oct 17, 2016
Dear Mr Szyder, I normally appreciate constructive and polite critics. However,YOU HAVE NOT BEEN A GUEST IN MY HOME. I wanted to point out that our facility is a PRIVATE HOME and not an Hotel. This is why the staff you mention consits of just one person: me. This also the reason why we have check in times. These are from 14.00 to 20.00 and NOT at 22.00 as you requested simply because we do not have a night reception service. This is VERY WELL specified in every Website that works with us and easily readable for whoever cares to read the rules of our home. Furthermore, you have been contacted from me as soon as your late arrival mail was received to inform you that it was not possible for us to do this. Rules are rules for everyone. I would have gladly suggested alternatives but you did not give me a chance to do so. We are very disappointed tha your week end was destroyed but i strongly suggest that in the future you read the house policy before booking. Regards Gaia Delneri

we stayed at this hotel on our way to ljubljana from venice. First of all, surprised to find such a town with so many well preserved Roman ruins. The hotel was equally surprising. Non descript, on a small residential lane, totally unexpected. Wonderful inn with 8 rooms, wonderful hostess(owner manager) fantastic breakfast. The rooms are luxuriously large, comfortable bed, great bathroom. This is a no brainer, if you need a good place to rest for the night or to spend a few days in this town full of Roman ruins, this is the place.

+1
My husband took me to this hotel on our 10 year anniversary and it was just perfect. Lovely family run hotel with a great location, just some minutes walk from the center. The room are spacious and lovely decorated, very clean and excellent materials used. The staff is above nice, professional and you get an instant feeling that they are really happy to have you there! I have to say a big plus is also the aperetivo bar - great to have a very good glass (or bottle) of wine. But I must mention the breakfast - it just TOP! I'we traveled a lot but this breakfast was just one of the best I ever had! I can't wait to return! Thank you for making our anniversary so unforgettable!

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Delbert. It was clean and modern. There were screens on the windows which is unusual in Europe plus it was possible to use the AC even thought it was not "official" AC time of year. The location was great for visiting the sites in Aquileia. Nice outside area for sitting. Has a taverna but we did not use it. Bed was comfortable and there were plugs bedside. Shower stall is always a plus. Has an elevator. A little kitchenette was available with coffee and tea makings, a sink, refrigerator and stove top.Wifi was good. The rooms could use a desk and more places to put such things as suitcases.

Staff were friendly and so helpful, took the time to explain the area and any questions I had were answered. The hotel its self is very impressive, beautifully decorated and in a well placed location. Breakfast was 10 out of 10 so much to choose from and all freshly prepared. Service was outstanding and anything I needed they got for me. Definitely will be back!! Thank you for an amazing stay.
