The Location is incomparable: next door and with a (bathroom) view of the basilica of Aquileia.
We had a number of meals there; best is the seafood such as Fritto di mare and of course, the marvelous pastries and cakes.
The clothes rail was poorly mounted and loose; in the bathroom the heating was stuck together with a plaster … and did not work during our stay. A shade over the reading lamp could not be lowered so the glare disturbed if is was turned on. Reported on the first day, it was - as the heating - never fixed.

A clean and warm family room with amazing view to the basilica and campanile, though it's 6:30am tolling was a little loud with windows open!

The staff were helpful and welcoming. Our breakfast was delicious and our teeneagers enjoyed the jam buscuits!

Dinner was delicious, the service exceptional - especially the wine decanting.

A perfect base for exploring the antiquities of Aquileia on foot.

This is a very traditional Italian old-school hotel. We stayed for one night while enroute from Slovenia.

Our room was nice and quite and did what we needed it to do. Breakfast was basic and came with no hot food served - just the usual cold cuts and pastries.

We stayed for one night and it was such a shame it was raining as this was a lovely town . Breakfast was not the best , coffee was poor and service at breakfast was not sharp . Rooms were dated , and bed linen was not heavy enough for the weather , Views from the window of the clock tower was lovely

Have been to Aquileia several times to visit the ruins of this ancient place that once rivaled Rome, but this was the first time we spent the night. Stumbled on the Hotel Patriarchi ... just walked in. What a pleasant experience ... most courteous, friendly and helpful people, great facilities (very nice/clean room and a great breakfast), and perfect parking. Given the opportunity, would definitely stay here again!

We stayed overnight here and it was a great experience.
The hotel and rooms are clean and tidy the meals are fantastic, service from management and staff is very customer focused, the rooms are very spacious.
The place is very quiet as we didn't hear any road noise
Most rooms all have external windows for natural ventilation.

I highly reccomend this hotel .

Stayed at this hotel as part of our cycling trip around the Adriatic. Really very comfortable rooms, well equipped, clean and spacious. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Had supper in the restaurant and the food was very good and plentiful.

If you stay here try to get a room away from the bell tower; the bells dong for extended periods and the a/c doesn't work well so you have to leave the windows open! Wifi service sketchy. Food was fair. All staff were exceptionally friendly & accommodating but hotel is old and could use updating.

The photo associated with this hotel makes it appear rather stark and urban, which is not the case. It is located a stone's throw from the major archaeology sites, the Basilica, and the National Archaeological Museum. It is accessible via bus from Cervignano train station (less than two euros) or by taxi (about twenty euros). Aquileia is about ten minutes from the train station.

The town is a pretty amazing place for viewing the remnants of a major Roman city, and the whole general area is upscale and attractive.

The hotel has excellent modern rooms for very little money and a very good restaurant and bar. The staff could not be nicer or more helpful. Windows are double-glazed, making the rooms quiet. Bathrooms are very modern and uncramped. The hotel's wifi service is excellent and free. Rooms come with a nice breakfast included in the charge. Though it's possible to book a "half-board" including a "touristic" dinner menu, I'd advise having fun with the excellent full menu, which is unusually good and inexpensive. Try some local wines, too. While I was there, quite a few locals dropped in for a drink or a morning coffee--a good sign. Around the block, facing the basilica, is a truly wonderful gelato, coffee, and pastry shop. There are unusually good shops for gift-buying in the same stretch.

beautiful hotel (architecture, rooms in antique style) very good kitchen, nice terass, good service. The hotel is the central place in beautiful Aquilea, where you can experience early christian culture. From the hotel you are immediately in the historical centre. The atmosphere in the hotel was great, though there were many people. Good service for the restaurant for answering questions about the region etc.
