They are really great hosts and were also helpful with directions. Really enjoyed their Espresso coffee. Highly recommended. This is also close to Modena Via Gottardi bus stand. For people travelling out of the country/town on buses, this hotel is an ideal location.

Brought my son here to begin our car factory touring vacation. We booked on the spot with the owner who was very pleasant, and checked us in. Our room was clean, and close to the downtown and a gelato bar! Would definitely recommend to stay if looking for 2 star

We stayed here for two nights. We had a room with a private bathroom. There were blankets if you needed them. The room was clean and it had a fan. It was a 25 minute walk to the train station and a 10 minute walk into the old town. There was a pizza restaurant downstairs which could be a bit noisy, but I was unusually tired and slept through the noise. The staff were friendly.

The location could not be better, a ten minute walk to the city centre yet in a quiet residential area. Parking on site is available and included in the room price. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is simple with basic items, coffee is very good and made fresh. The room was very basic and not too big. It had everything I needed and even a balcony. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The toiletry items are very minimal. The room was a bit warm, but there was a fan. I was also informed there are a limited number of rooms with airconditioning that can be booked upon request. It is also very handy there is an excellent pizzeria right next to the hotel. I really enjoyed my stay and would love to come back. Internet worked fine too. Very good value for money, the price is very good given the location and friendly service.…

We stayed here for a one night visit after coming down from Milan. The hotel was in a convenient location, easy to find and easy to access the city centre, bars and restaurants in the area. We booked a double room with a shared bathroom. I had previously seen reviews on TripAdvisor about how run down and old the hotel was but in my idea that's not the case! We had a lovely big room, clean and comfortable with two extra pillows and blankets, a TV, a sink inside for brushing our teeth and lots of storage space. The bathroom too was clean and even though we shared it we didn't have to wait around and it was always free when we needed it. I think a building with a bit of personality and old wooden decor is lovely, especially in Italy! The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. We chose to have the breakfast which cost a addition 5€ pp but was lovely, coffee made in front of you behind a bar, pastries and croissants of all different fillings, yoghurts, fresh fruit and juice, cereal, bread, cheese, meat...everything! We really really enjoyed our stay and would definitely 😊…

Location: Easy to drive - on the way towards the center. Close to the pedestrian area of the centro storico. Free, small, Parking at the backyard. The Hotel: Old Building with a small elevator. Μelancholia. The room: Moderate-sized. High ceiling. Quiet. NΟ mosquitos net on window. Basic comforts. Lack of sockets. Clean. Sink inside -Toilet/shower at the hall. Quite depressing. The double 70eu without breakfast. Receptonist: Friendly and helpful. The Pizzaria -in the same building: Not good. Better to go to the other one around the corner.

If travelling on a budget is your desire, then you may consider this establishment. Hotel we found is clean, rooms are clean, but very basic. You have to share your bathroom/shower with other guests on your floor, but not once we're we inconvenienced, or ever had to wait. Our hotel guest greeted us with a warm welcome. Very obliging. Breakfast is prepared on request and is strictly a basic Italian affair, fruit, bread, croissants, Yogurt, juice, tea/coffee. My wife and I are on a strict travel budget having travelled from Australia, this suited our needs. No far from the centre of town, or public transport. Closest restaurant is located just around the corner, and was very nice. Off street parking is also available. All the best.

This is a very elderly hotel in a lovely part of Modena within an easy walk to the centre and the cathedral. Parking is secure, locked and free. The room had a nice balcony overlooking the street, but the facilities were quite antiquated. It served its purpose on our road trip and there was a good pizzeria round the corner. It is inexpensive and breakfast was an extra 5 euros and was nicely done. The staff were lovely.

This was the third time we have stayed here on our way through Europe. It is very close to the lovely centre of town. It is in an old traditional building with lovelý high ceilings. No aircon, but very effective ceiling fans. It is family run and they are helpful and friendly. It isn't luxurious or freshly decorated, but is clean, pleasant and very good value and we would always choose to stay here when passing through Modena.

We spent four night in this Hotel. Our arrival was below any standard. No info, just the key of our room. Later this day there was plenty of info from another person. This gave us a much better feeling. Our room at the 3th floor was clean and oke. The airco was not functioning but the temperature outside made this bearable. Breakfast is Italian, so lots of sweet. Dinner oke but not outstanding. Staff was very friendly. We had a cooking workshop and learned to make pasta. Really fun. I would go back to this hotel. SAN Gemini is very old an nice .
