Enjoyed our stay at this hotel and recommend it highly. The staff was friendly and very helpful. At check in, they told us (in English since we are Americans) a lot about the hotel and area. The room had air conditioning. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Bathroom was nice. Hotel is on tram and bus routes. Trastevere is a nice neighborhood not overwhelmed by tourists. We enjoyed coffee and breakfast at local cafes only a few minutes’ walk from the hotel. The tourist areas are a 30-40 minute walk over the Tiber. We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and recommend it. The only thing for others to consider is that the shower was a little tight. A larger person might find that uncomfortable.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at this property. I arrived late on a Friday evening, was greeted with a smile and offered a complimentary welcome drink on the rooftop terrace/patio.
My room was lovely with a very comfortable bed and pillow. Bathroom was amazing with marble floor and vanity. Had every you needed - hair dryer, shampoo, body wash, etc. Plenty of towels as well.
I had a room with a balcony that faced the street and it was surprisingly quiet. In fact on Sunday morning when I got up a looked out the window across the street - a massive market was already setup and filled with shoppers. I didn't hear a thing!
Breakfasts were very good as well and had a full offering despite if being a modified service with Covid guidelines.
This property really is a gem in Rome. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would love to come back with my family. And a big thank you to Carolina as well!

Stayed here with my daughter and it’s a great choice.
Hotel is in a great location to experience the local shops, culture and restaurants, with easy and convenient bus links to the centre of Rome/historical sites. We caught the train, metro and taxi to the hotel, but got a car arranged by the staff back to the airport. Would definitely recommend an Uber or taxi to/from the airport, costs plus/minus 50 Euros each way. Be aware there is a huge queue that you can’t avoid for taxis at the airport, hence we caught the train. I would recommend booking a personal shuttle bus or car if possible.
Colosseum/Pantheon is only a 30 minute walk over the river and would recommend it to experience hidden history that you would normally miss by by bus/taxi; especially at night to see the areas lit up. Bus tickets can be purchased from the shop opposite the bus stop (5 minute walk from hotel), 3 Euros for 2 x bus tickets for any route (lasts for 100 minutes).
Hotel is modern and clean, staff were very polite and helpful. We explored the hotel, but didn’t eat at the hotel restaurant or roof top bar, it was only available late in the evenings. Looked good though. Room and bathroom was clean, black out curtains shut out the sun completely if you like to lie in a bit. Room also had good air conditioning.
If you prefer to have a familiar breakfast, it may be worth booking breakfast at the hotel. There are many local (non-tourist) places to have breakfast though within a 5-10 minute walk that offer great local food and culture, would highly recommend this instead. It was fun to sit in the local trattoria for breakfast and see the staff/customers cheerfully welcome locals they know and have light family disagreements.
Would recommend the place at Il Fornaretto di Trastevere, serves good coffee, pastries, pizza and flat breads.
We found it very safe to walk around at night time as a family, plenty of local people eating out until late. Seems to be the culture to eat late and there’s always people around. There’s a local market (car boot style) outside the hotel on a Sunday morning, well worth a visit. There’s also a great gelato shop a few doors down from the hotel, which is definitely worth visiting.
Would also highly recommend eating at a place called Rione 13, 10 minute walk from the hotel. Great local food and great price, used by the locals. May need to book in advance online though, walk in isn’t usually possible at peak hours.

Dear Chris, We are so impressed by your review. It's so detailed! Thank you so much for all the precious info you have provided to all the readers about what to do in the neighborhood, how to reach the main sights from the hotel and where to eat nearby. We're sorry you couldn't visit our Rooftop. Since it's really busy in these days we always suggest our hotel guests to book before in order to be sure to have a table for dinner. We are also glad to know that the room you were assigned with was appropriate, comfortable and most of all clean: we really focus our attention on that aspect, glad you mentioned it! We look forward to welcoming you and your family soon again! Warm regards from the Staff

We had a lovely two night stay at the Trilussa Palace last month. We loved the location just a 10 minute walk from the train station or you can hop on the number 8 bus (tram not running at the moment) which drops you right outside the hotel. You can also take the bus to Trastevere or over the river into Rome. Even in the heat we enjoyed the 15 minute walk to Trastevere. The staff are brilliant especially the lady on the front desk when we arrived who was so informative about both the hotel and the area. Our room was spotless and we enjoyed the balcony overlooking the front of the hotel especially Sunday morning with the street market. We look forward to returning in the not too distant future.

Along my journey through Italy I had the pleasure of staying in this hotel when I was in Rome. Our rooms were ready promptly at check in. Valery helped us through the process and couldn't have been sweeter if she tried. She answered every question, laughed with us, and had a great attitude. She also gave us a GREAT recommendation for a restaurant in the neighborhood specifically to enjoy all four classic Roman pastas. She also called ahead and reserved us a table. I could not be happier with the recommendation. It was absolutely delicious. Excellent care from Valery.
The Hotel itself is very well located in the hip Trastevere district. It's a fun hip neighborhood that offers a taste of culture other than the "hur dur Colosseum" stuff. Any complaints about location are either incapable of navigating a city or are only interested in the basic Roman historical stuff. There is more to Rome than that. It's a bustling city with many boroughs that offer a glimpse of *living* Roman culture. For instance, we were able to walk to an awesome craft brewery nearby, see street markets, and enjoy awesome food within 10 minutes. And the whole walk was a pleasure.
Their rooftop bar is beautiful and the drinks are actually some of the best we had on our whole journey. The bartenders were super cool, especially the lady who helped us on our last night. We walked in very late, right before closing, but she pleasantly made our drinks and chatted with us.
If you do need to go somewhere outside of walking distance they are able to call you a local taxi. Each time we asked them to a cab was in front of the hotel within five minutes.
Just want to mention one last time just how awesome Valery made our experience. Hotel's these days tend not to care as much about helping guests enjoy the city around them. Valery made sure we did!

We visited here for a special 30th birthday . And it did not disappoint. We hired out the Maya spa to ourselfs and wow it was absolutely unreal the spa had its own music system , you could change the lights / mood . It had a steam room sauna jacuzzi etc equipped with a mini bar . The shower had different calming scents . We had a floating love heart tray in the water to put our drinks which was an amazing touch , the staff was so friendly and accommodating. We then had dinner in the restaurant it was absolutely unreal lovely food the man who served us was so kind and attentive. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting rome

A very nice, quiet and pleasant hotel. The staff were so helpful, nice and engaged, always with a smile on their face. The rooms were comfortable and clean, in addition very comfortable beds. Great view from the rooftop restaurant. The location is also great in charming Trastevere, with a lot of small charming restaurants and very close to the tram into Rome city center. We had a wonderful stay at Trilussa and will be happy to return.

This hotel is the perfect stop to visit Rome, visited in March 2022 all the staff were so helpful, even when asking the same questions multiple times, they must say the same answers thousands of times but they were great at helping us first timers to Rome.
The Rome was clean and had everything you would need, I loved the bathroom! Felt very Italian! The breakfast was ok, the one area they could improve on, could have had some more options but as we were packing so much into our trip we didn’t mind too much not having a big breakfast.
The Spa is out of this world! My husband and I love going to spas and this has to one the best ever! You choose a room (we went for Maya spa) and it’s all yours for couple of hours, the theme/jacuzzi pool/showers/saunas etc was amazing! A visit is a must!
There is a tram stop right outside the hotel so it’s so easy to get to the centre of Rome (10 mins on tram) or walk to see the sights for about 40 mins.
Being in the Travestere area meant the best place for restaurants! Just 10 min walk and there’s lots to choose from, all good food!
Overall we loved Rome and loved this hotel! We will be back!

Hello, yes our roof bar is open! :)
We took the train from the airport to the Roma Trastevere stop! Then you can either take a cab, Uber or Bus to the hotel. It’s not that longer than 1 mile. I just looked up the cost right now and it is $18.15 per person. You can use the Trainline EU app!
You can also take a cab or Uber but it will cost you much more.
The trains are nice!
Enjoy!
Good morning Francesca,
yes, we have hairdryers in our standard rooms.
Thank you very much
