    The best we could get in the cinty center.
    Charming, affordable little hotel, perfect location, friendly, helpful staff. Close to the Piazza Navona, walking distance to the Vatican, (and almost everything). Breakfast served in the room. (Good coffee, croissant, jams, etc, but some fresh fruit or vegetable would be nice. )

    Just as presented, friendly, efficient staff, great location Breakfast delivered to your room, coffee still hot. Small room but clean and well appointed, only negative too far from metro. I would stay again. Charming

    First thing I need to mention is that there is NO ELEVATOR. There is stairs that go up like a spiral. And I mention this because I had no idea and my room was on the 3rd floor and it was very exhausting to walk up every night. So I would definitely request something on a lower floor if you aren't good with stairs. NOW....having said that, I still enjoyed my stay very much! The hotel is away from all the noise, down the end of a little street. Its very close to piazza Navona and not too far from the other sites. The staff that works there is wonderful and friendly. My room was small with a comfy twin sized bed. I was only one person, so it was perfectly fine for me. I even had a little foyer when I walked in, which was separate from my room. The bathroom was nice, though there was chunks of the wall that needed repair (I guess it added to it's old world charm? It didn't bother me really). They do provide hand soap as well as shampoo. The wifi was good as was the tv (they had some english speaking channels). Before you go to bed at night, you give your breakfast order....you get to pick from a large variety of food items as well as different beverages. Someone delivers it straight to your door at the time you choose (which was wonderful). The rooms have a safe, but my safe got locked and couldn't open....so they had to drill through to get it opened for me. But they did it quickly and were super apologetic. All in all, if I had a room on a lower floor, I would absolutely stay here again!…

    Perfect location & great hotel
    Loved this little hotel, it’s a little bit quirky but that made us love it all the more! A better location would be harder to find, literally on the edge of Piazza Navone & set amongst the cobbled streets with cafes & restaurants galore. A special mention to the staff, the lovely lady who answered my panicked we will be arriving late call & set my mind at rest & the fabulous Rabi who helped with all the information we needed to make our stay perfect! Read the reviews it might not be for everyone but if you take a chance you won’t be disappointed…

    Great front desk service!
    I was only able to stay one night but the two individuals at the front desk went above and beyond to make that short stay enjoyable. They were friendly, able to easily book my airport taxi, and simply made my chaotic travel easy! The room was very quiet but walk-able to the restaurants and ruins of Rome - a perfect combination when you need to sleep!…

    Hallo, Hotel Teatro. I opened TripAdvisor just now to link your reviews to an email to my travelling companions. Having read the reply to Sophie, I'm stunned. No matter her position &/or why, the response that was posted to her dissatisfaction reads very poorly -- from the viewpoint of someone about to encourage a group of travelers that your hotel is where we should book. It is an unprofessional rant. A very simple explanation/reminder of your cancellation policy and an apology for her displeasure is all that is needed. (You do apologize, but it gets lost.) If I were you, I'd take your response to her down. I hope I haven't overstepped in my suggestion. But I'm wondering how you'd treat me if I encountered any kind of a problem during my stay with you. And, I'd hope it would not be like your reply indicates -- impatient and abrasive.
    Dear madame, thank you for your kind and valuable suggestion. I followed your advice and cancelled my answer!! And I can tell you, I do understand your point of view and I agree with you. Maybe, a formal reply would have been better for those clients who had read the review, but that review has been really used as revenge by the potential guest, and that's unacceptable. I can assure you, we work hard everyday to satisfy our guests, and nobody is allowed to damage our reputation for a problem that hasn't been caused by us. In this answer I tried to be short and direct to the point. Do you think it's better? :-) So now you can continue to encourage your group of travelers that our hotel is where they should book ;-) Many thanks and enjoy your stay at the Teatro Pace!

    Can I take the SIT Bus from Fiumicino Airport to the Vatican area, then catch a taxi to the hotel?
    I am not certain about the bus to the airport. Hotel Teatro de Pace is walking distance to St. Peter’s and the Vatican, also around the corner from Piazza Navona and the Pantheon. Great number of local places to drink and eat. Stay away from the touristy restaurants around the piazza Navona.

    Can I take the SIT bus from Fiumicino Airport to the Vatican area, then catch a taxi to the hotel?
    I didn't use the buses. In Rome. We caught a taxi from airport to hotel, dropped off our bags before checkin time. We walked to the Vatican from the hotel, approx 20minutes. There are so many interesting things to see along the way that can be missed in buses and taxis.

    Where is the nearest place to park? We will be staying with you shortly, and hiring a car from the airport.
    Hello, hotel might possibly answer but having recently stayed there, I wonder if you might be better picking up your rental car in central Rome when you need it. The hotel is located in the real historic part of Rome, a warren of narrow streets. Our taxi driver could not drop us off at hotel as he preferred not to go down the narrow road. If you must have a car in Rome, I would look for a proper car park but doubt there is 1 real close to hotel. Good luck!

    I see a mini bar is listed in room amenities, does that mean there is a mini refrigerator?
    Yes there was a small fridge with mini-bar in our rooms in a wooden cabinet
