Welcome to Hotel Artemide, your 4-star hotel in downtown Rome! Just a stone's throw away from the Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum or the Spanish Steps, Artemide is right in the heart of Via Nazionale, a lively and bright street, with plenty of shops to choose from. Within walking distance...

Stayed here for one night with son and friend. Amenities were wonderful, had everything we needed and much more! Rooftop was so nice to come back to for a drink after a long day. Valentina was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and delicious.
There are some hotels that genuinely cannot do enough for you - and this is one of them. From the lovely welcome to the hotel, to the complimentary drink in the Ambrosia bar - the cocktails are fabulous.....All the little extras - free mini-bar, other...More
Second night here and the staff is absolutely amazing. The mixologist Maurizio at the outside rooftop bar makes incredible drinks and has a great attitude. All and all the hotel has a good atmosphere, vibe, and is clean and modern.
Wonderful hotel and absolutely wonderful place to stay. Really so comfortable, amazing location and the staff was so nice and unbelievably friendly and attentive. I Would highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again in a heartbeat.
As a first time visitor to Rome a few weeks ago my wife and I couldn't have picked a better hotel! We were there for 5 days and 4 nights before we left on a cruise. Great staff! The service was fantastic! The restaurant on...More
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

We did Pompeii from Rome in one day. Take the train from Rome Termini to Naples, then take a local train to Pompeii. There are a couple of train options from Rome to Naples. Basically the faster the train the more it costs but I recommend the high speed trains if you're doing this on one day. The local train from Naples to Pompeii is basically a subway, no comfort at all but plenty of character. One way trip is about 2 hours. Pompeii was well worth the hassle of a pretty long one day train trip.
