We ended up liking this hotel a lot and might just go right back to it next trip to Rome. Room was pretty cool, a bit hard to work as it had 4 levels including foyer, sleeping area, shower room and dressing area, but we really like this hotel for elegance, location & friendly staff. Breakfast was very good, typical upper level European spread. Dining rooms are lovely... Breakfast out on the roof of 4th floor weather permitting. Cocktail “club” on the 5th floor roof with stunning views. Many patrons from other hotels coming to visit. Reservation strongly urged.…
As if you were in a fairy tale! You live in a masterpiece of art and in the pulsating heart of the city. Picture gallery inside - a unique museum of the city. Service and cuisine are excellent. Worth it! Great place for a romantic weekend.
Only stayed one night but this small property impressed! It’s built in a very historic private residence that was once home to a pope and has all kinds of great character from the unique room configurations to the courtyard and towers. The biggest surprise was what may be the best rooftop bar in Rome! Incredible views over the entire city, sun setting behind St Peter at the Vatican, all while overlooking the buzz in Piazza Navona below. Second best surprise was the breakfast restaurant with outdoor terrace overlooking Navona - beautiful way to start the day. Our room was very spacious and comfortable with the right mix of historic touches like the stone arch doorways and box moulding on the 14’ ceilings combined with modern technology and high end in room amenities. Can’t finish without calling out the service - front desk was friendly and gave great advice for restaurants away from the tourist crowds and night security knew us as guests and made us feel welcome. Will definitely be back next time in Rome.…
We had reservations for five days at the hotel. We were given an amazing upgraded room/suite overlooking the Four Rivers fountain ( Piazza Navona). Breakfast was really good and fresh. Room was Large, quiet, and spacious. Location was walking distance to all major tourist sights and then some. Great restaurant right across from entrance of hotel just in case you needed to stay in. Rooftop restaurant was nice but honestly “way” over priced for drinks. My drink was 30euro and could not taste the Vodka. You will need to make reservations or wait till later when people leave. Again, this was an incredible hotel to stay at when in Rome.…
My daughter and I were tourists in Rome for 3 days beginning August 27th, 2019.. We chose the Eitch Borromini Hotel due to it's central location on the Piazza Navona. We were absolutely delighted with the hotel. I'm handcapped (there are a few stairs) and the staff was so very helpful each and every day. The hotel had been a rectory in the 15th century and we stayed in rooms that had the original frescos on the ceiling. The suite had been occupied by Pope Innocent the 10th. Each room had a text with it's history. The rooftop lounge overlooked the city and was a great place to be at sundown. One evening we were entertained by a couple of opera stars. What a treat! The extensive breakfast buffet was so very good. We were able to access all the tourist sites from this central locale. I would always go back to the hotel when in Rome…
